Politics › Re: Residency Over Ethnicity - Where Will You Reside? by Yujin(m): 10:27pm On Jan 16, 2013
What is the aim of this policy? Is it for the sake of a fake unity or to rake legitimate claims for the nomads over your land? Think people, think? Will it make a christian southerner safer in the core north or vice versa? Will it make one legitimately vie for a position in ones state of residence even though your name(traditional) clearly reveals the area from where you originate? Why will laudable propositions like PIB, State Police, Resource Control etc be fought against by the core north while things of little value like creating of forest reserves for the nomadic fulanis and this one should be brought up? Think my people, think!
Islam › Re: Prophet Muhammad's Letter To The Monks Of St. Catherine Monastery by Yujin(m): 7:30pm On Jan 13, 2013
@Beta things, you seem intelligent and vast in history. I commend your question on whether the extinction of Islam would help stop supposed 'christian' nations from fighting one another.
I believe both religions should be viewed based on what is written in their holy books and paying premium attention on their founders (Jesus Christ & Mohammed). The words of Jesus Christ distinguished Him world over and still do till date. His personality CANNOT be faulted but for Mohammed, it was a big let down for a supposed prophet. Christianity lost great(spiritual) power when Emperor constantine came into power- it became a state religion which got muddled with politics. It was during his time that the inquisition took place. Later came the Crusades and lots of atrocities committed by supposed followers of Christ(The Prince of Peace). All these things happened in fulfilment of Jesus' parable(Parable of the weeds) written in Mathew 13vs24-30. See its explanation in vs 36-43.
I will conclude by quoting a muslim convert(now a christian) in one of the conferences I attended some years ago, "If there is another way to God aside Christianity, I would have left for it because of the kind of life supposed christians lead. However, Jesus Christ remains the ONLY Way, Truth and Life... Him shall I follow".

Gideon Orkar was very right. He identified the problem but was unlucky to have fallen outside the time designed by destiny. He was indeed visionary.
Politics › Re: Implementation Of Sharia By Obasanjo Created Boko-Haram! – Gbanite by Yujin(m): 2:03pm On Jan 13, 2013
OBJ deliberately ran away from sharia because he feared to confront face to face the bulls trampling the progressive people in Nigeria.
Apportioning blames now won't solve anything. Only solutions should be proferred.
For those who heap insults with thick vituperations on GEJ, will you give an unalloyed support to him if he does(rolls out the tanks in the North east) what you people want? Will you readily shun pleasure, bare arms and march on rough grounds to win your freedom and march on in progress?
I just gave you a clue to what that decision could result to. Well, you can't escape to bare arms at least in 2015(when the baboons and dogs will be soaked in blood).

hotwax: Let me stir you mud amala brain.
Christianity is based on New Testament. Old testament was included in the bible to make
Christians understand New testament, why Jesus died, the history of israelite, help christian understand creation.
Old testament was full of war, evils and God anger. That's why he sent Jesus christ to undo old testament.

Mohammed copied and based quran on old testament, that's why muslims are still backward.

The essence of christ's birth is to correct this old testament. Your leviticus quote is in old testament.

The meaning of christian is somebody who follow the teaching Jesus christ and not the teaching of the book of leviiticus.
What about muslim, followers of mohammed. And mohammed had sex with kids. What does that say about his followers?

Get that into your skull, monkey.
You answered well my bro. but pls no insult.

nagoma: You may say that BH are not enemies of Muslims but we know otherwise. The indisputable crystal clear truth is that a southern president with all the education SOUTHERNERS boast of has shown abysmal lack of capacity to ensure security or even to rule nigeria with even minimal finesse and etiquette. Shame on him for allowing the destruction of lives, property and equally important the destruction of trust and truth in our country.
Your people's calculation designed to paint GEJ as incompetent has failed and will continue to fail. Didn't they promise to make Nigeria ungovernable for him? You and I know very well why GEJ has refused to order the tanks to roll in the NE.
Let me expose you and your people's hypocrisy. When Israel attacks Palestine(mostly retaliatory for missiles fired into Israel by Hamas), your people will be quick to organize demonstrations in far away Nigeria but when a supposed fellow Nigerian(Christians) are killed right inside the Churches, you cover your faces as though you are in grief whereas you are smiling. If you people are sincere as you want others to believe, assuming you can't protest when Christians are killed why can't you people protest when muslims are also killed by holding placards with bold inscriptions condemning boko haram? Lol. Can it be possible?
Hypocrites, we cannot be deceived.

A very misleading heading.
Do not condemn those who refuse to be confused that boko haram are enemies to the muslims because they actually are not. How do you explain the multiple ramming of explosive-laden vehicles to churches with their attendant high fatalities whereas we only here of drive-by shootings or the 'discovery' of hidden explosives in the mosques for the muslims? We are too smart to be deceived. Actually, not all muslims support bh or even the islamization agenda but these ones remain silent leaving the devils among them to plunge them into the impending disaster. If you have been a victim of bh attack where you were asked to accept islam with a dagger before you, how would you view islam?
If you have loved ones that those vampires have snatched life from by bombing them in a church, how would you view muslims?
Like someone has said: let them bomb a mosque during the jumat prayers on friday three times and we would see what will come after.
We cannot be easily deceived. Never!
Romance › Re: Why Women Do Not Date Nice Guys by Yujin(m): 7:29am On Jan 08, 2013
Abrantie: As a follow-up to my previous point, look at how Chris Brown changed from a handsome pretty boy, to an over tattooed, criminal/drug-addict looking mofo? The amount of money Chris Brown has couldn't even convince those bitches he's really a man's man! So what does he do? -- over tattoos his body to look like he's "dangerous" and "bad", picks a fight with Drake and got a beat down..lol

Why? The answer is simple -- he lives in a society where women have lost their bearing on what truly makes a man masculine or boyfriend/husband material. Guys in such societies have to be either gay, or be a criminal in order to stand a chance with even the ugliest-looking babe. So when some of you post all these "rules" about relationships, just know that it doesn't apply in all corners of the world.
You have a point there.
I think we are getting into a phase in this world where everyone is encouraged to become bad. The pride in virginity (for ladies esp.) has almost turn to a curse. The level of degrees one has in ex-CV defines how emotionally smart one is. This has turned many of our youths into pros.titutes(both sexes). Its alarming and hurting.
I think this recent trend in nice/bad guy definition is geared towards achieving thesame thing i.e smoking out the good guys so that they also become bad. For God sake, why will a normal lady want a guy that would always lie to her, disrespect her views and finally mess her up?
My advice: Mr. Good guy, continue being good. Do not let the assumed choice of ladies determine who you should be. There is no better substitute for being good.

aribisala0: I do not believe he has necessarily done anything wrong to them(I do not speak for them) What has he done right for them . Has he made any more impact in their lives than Barack Obama or Queen Elizabeth. THEY have to look out for their own interests . We must not forget that the IJAW alone are NOT the NIGER delta but other groups in the Niger delta like Itshekiri,Urhobo Akwa Ibom have complained about the workings of the Niger Delta ministry,The Amnesty Programme the contracts to Tompolo etc all these things create the "IMPRESSION" that he is there for his people.
Look at his response to the flood that affected HIS PEOPLE. Hear his reason for not visiting Borno

Personally I believe Yar'Adua did the same but the difference is THE IJAW ALONE CANNOT VOTE HIM IN or even make any impact on the outcome of the voting. He should have tried to pretend a bit if he was interested in a second term. This approach will not work. Let us look at the example of Fashola the socalled Kingmaker wanted to remove him but had to acknowledge his popularity. The question is in this context is GEJ in the same positionhuh

The other thing I must point out is all these guys whether Ijaw or whatever when they get appointed are all rogues,Yes but they are the one who ,sadly, are able to mobilize for elections. That is how Nigeria works. He will soon find that Sylva,Diezani,Orubebe and Tompolo cannot save him. What can work is to appeal directly to the electorate by impacting their lives.Rigging will not work either and will only get him killed. Having a non Northerner as Chief of Army staff will not save him He has to deliver Let us wait and see.
I agree with you on this but previous posts were just jokes. Arewa whatever you see is just the workings of blind men who cannot sense the direction of the present wind. Out of the 19 northern states, how many are 'arewa' just like out of the south GEJ ain't sure of 6 which the wise know. Mr. The core north have given the wise enough warnings as regards 2015. Anyone caught unawares should have himself to blame. SNC remains the best option before 2015 or else...

Brilliant kids! Let their parents better send them to quality schools abroad where they would be given admission based on merit, encouraged to explore their talents and their efforts harnessed properly instead of remaining in Nigeria where quota system may deny them the course of their choice, neglected by the ministries of education and youths... and finally abandoned by the FG. Wishing them the best.

CrazyMan: From what I've see so far, the Nigerian police solves cases in three stages.

1. They confirm the incident. Check any newspaper for an crime (could be murder, kidnap, robbery...etc)
What you're most likely to see is that the most superior police officer in the barracks confirmed the incident.

I believe that's one of the orientations they give you when you join the force. (How to confirm incidents)

2. They claim to be on top of the situation even though they have little or no leads on the suspects.

Now after confirming the incident, the next step is to be on top of the situation.

Most of them may not even be familiar with the area the incident occurred, but because they don't want to look incompetent, they have to make this claim.

3. Sweeping the matter under the rug. This is the final stage...once they've confirmed the incident, and moved on top of the situation, the only way for them to remain on top is for the situation to be below.

And the only way for them to ensure that the situation remains below is to sweep it under the carpet.

Nigerian police I hail thee.
Funny dude. Nigerian manufactured standard procedure.

INNO18: I must confess that i'm dissapointed with most comments my southern colleagues are making over here. It show's clearly that the news most people in the south want to hear out of the North is ' Bombing, killings,Extremisms' e.t.c. I didnt open this thread to pitch the North against the South. I simply wanted ti show you parts of northern Nigeria,(as most Nairalanders complain that the north isnt duely represented). If i, an Igbo guy(born and brought up in Sokoto can Showcase a City that isnt mine to you and yet people criticise it, i wonder what would have happened if it was a Hausa dude that opened it, probably most of you would claim the pics are false and some dunce might even say they are photoshopped. Just two Months Ago i was @ my Hometown in Nnewi, after submitting my prescience form @ Unizik i decided to branch to my villa before returning to Sokoto. The roads i saw in NNewi were an eyesore. At a particular point i felt like throwing up, virtually all the roads were muddy and untarred. Sokoto may not be industrialised like most towns in the south, infact besides Sokoto cement, the only industries we have here are pure water and yoghurt factories, but one thing makes this town stand out. sERENITY and tRANQUILITY! For those of you saying There arent Christians in Sokoto, all i can say is that you're either being sentimental or you're delusional. Christians in Sokoto are far more safer than Christians in jos which is a Christian City. I rest my case for now.
Kudos for the effort in showcasing the beauty of Sokoto. I've not been there before however, it isn't quite different from the other northern states I have visited and lived in. Nice roads, good water supply channels and better power supply but scanty towns except Kano, Kaduna, Maiduguri (of old) and Jos. The population of the core north is grossly overbloated. Most of their lands are empty as you can travel for tens of kilometres without seeing a single building. Most of their buildings are wack except for some few areas.
Nwanna, an advice from Nwanna. Plan to come back to 'Jerusalem' because come 2015 you will know that Jos is safer than that nest of vipers. You must have heard of the saying"Sabuwa da kaza ba ta hana yanka". Ukpana okpoko gburu o bu nti chiri ya.

Firstly, OBJ was just a lucky man. From his response on the sharia-c.um boko haram issue, if the situation was this bad during his own time, he would have appeared helpless. Let me quote him"... he wants to lure me into a killing ground, I won't fall for it" and " I didn't worry them (boko haram) and they didn't worry my government". We all know that it was Borno state's ex-governor in a similar situation that started boko haram. So if OBJ backed off for Zamfara he most likely would have done same for Borno. Those who are intelligent will certainly understand why it will be so. It is right to roll tanks over some areas but forbidden in some other. Talk of allowing the proverbial lizard to pollute the water in order to spare the water pot!
Secondly, OBJ love to build libraries so much that he attracted dignitaries to donate millions for his presidential library while NON-PRESIDENTIAL(Federal&State) libraries can rot for all he cares.
OBJ detribalized? Can somebody tell me one major project he did in the SE through out his 8yrs tenure? Sorry I forgot: he commissioned the construction of the second niger bridge!
OBJ only succeeded in having national crises(security) free tenure because of sheer luck and lets say he knows Nigeria better than all others(like he said). I will address other salient points later. Happy new year to all nairalanders.

Many of them here on nairaland have claimed Abuja as theirs with false history. This attack is just the start of a direct suppression on the Gbagyis who are peace-loving people. This attempt if not met by stiff opposition will lead to catastrophy.

maclatunji: If God created all men and is keen on our salvation from eternal damnation, then there can only be one religion to achieve that over time. It may have a few modifications along the way but its basic message has to be the same.

That religion is Islam. Islam didn't start with Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He was simply sent to complete the message and he did.

A knowledgeable Muslim will never say Islam started with Prophet Muhammad (SAW), it is non-Muslims that tell themselves that.

So, you were saying?
Now, if Solomon is a muslim, it means Jesus too is a muslim. Is that correct by you? It means his disciples are muslims too and by implication anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and follows Him is also a muslim. SMH. It is evident that the teaching of Christ is CLEARLY DIFFERENT from that of Muhammed. Jesus discouraged His followers from using arms but Muhammed encouraged his. Jesus laid down His life for mankind while Muhammed took the life of many. Jesus taught that the worshippers of God do so in spirit and in truth and must not necessarily be in a building, on a mountain or facing any specific direction but Muhammed...you know better. Jesus Christ himself says" I am the Way, Truth and Life, no one comes to the Father(Almighty God) but by me". Such authoritative speaking. That was how he won my heart. Even the Jews practising Judaism today he told"...how I wish to gather you just as a hen gathers her chicks but you refuse. Therefore, you will not know peace until you say blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord". And in the whole world there is just one Prince of Peace- Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. Even they are in danger of hell unless they accept Him as Lord and Saviour. Mr Maclatunji, I suggest you STUDY the Bible books of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, and your life will never remain thesame again just like myself.
