I had wanted not to comment but yours above made me do otherwise.
Its true he didn't commit the offence that directly harms people but that is not sufficient to absolve him of the consequences of this show of shame. There are consequences for our actions whether those yesterday, today or tomorrow. Do you know the pains and misery felt by the person shortchanged for him to occupy the position he clearly is incompetent for? His 'mistake' is a technical one an therefore cannot be excused. Do you know the pains many youths have passed through for them to get reliable info on the paramilitary body and the many scams they've fall prey to which actually warranted the interview? The commandant goofed and should be reprimanded for it. A sack is not the best since we know he can't resign because jobs in Nigeria are meal tickets. Methink he should be demoted and his so called 'oga at the top' investigated.
Eehm, eehm Mr. Shem, be strong and learn your lessons. Its never the end of the road. The phrase 'my oga at the top' has come to stay. Brace up and the diligence and good preparation help a lot not just some butt-licking. Its well with you. That's all!

This is epic! So good for democracy. The write up is a masterpiece and I love it but I'm not carried away. Character(action) speaks louder than word. Let's see the characters behind it.
Lol. On another hand, an uppercut on the Armoured Personnel Carriers aka Kare jini, Biri jini.

Politics › Re: Owners Of Oil Wells In Nigeria Unveiled By Segun Adeniyi by Yujin(m): 4:04pm On Mar 14, 2013
To the SS and SE who have been robbed, raped and abandoned by those heartless thieves, the Lord has heard your cries. He has seen your suffering and has decided to intervene. Your land was taken as a conquered territory and the resources thereof as spoils of war. If only the G.Os of our most respected Church denominations will reveal the truth that God tells them about Nigeria! How can the annexation of a people's resources be the will of God? A Nigeria with a skewed political arrangement and dubious economic policies designed to give some regions undue advantage over others be the will of God? Can men of good conscience speak up? Give the oil wells back to the communities and collect taxes/revenues from them. Simple
@Topic, Senator Enang is very correct with his revelations. Imagine the name of prominent core northerners are not in Mr Adeniyi's list. That goes to show you that these core northerners have perfected the art of puppeteering. They are indeed smart and the dismantling of their hegemony is not through the intelligence or tactfulness of the victims but is the intervention of God. As the time draws nearer, more revelations will surface until the bond of the slavemasters are destroyed and they themselves made to kiss the dust. We are watching.
Culture › Re: People Build Better Houses In The Village: Why? by Yujin(m): 3:33pm On Mar 11, 2013
Its for a nice reason. The worth of a man appreciates the moment you discover the house he originates from(house in his hometown/village) is posh. However, its mostly found among the Igbos because of the civil war experience where their suppose fellow compariots tagged their legitimate, hard earned houses abandoned properties. Many till date are yet to be returned to the rightful owners. Do you expect the victims or anyone who knows these people personally to repeat thesame mistake. We are saying wise people should build POSH houses in their hometowns/villages first before er.ecting a house of its equivalent in towns/cities outside their regions atleast. There's no need hating.
FACT: At present, many Igbos have lost millions by underselling their magnificent houses located in the North East due to civil unrest there. Fashola is making many have a rethink with his demolitions without regard/appropriate compensation.
Once again, no more hating as home remains the best place to build mansions.
Politics › Re: Babangida’s Endorsement Of APC Rattles PDP by Yujin(m): 12:31pm On Mar 03, 2013
Gbawe: Look, don't take my utterances as criticism. I just dislike insincere utterance, for the sake of populism, that is starkly at odds with reality. The way I see it is that Nigerians are apathetic cowards. They will bash in the brains of commoners yet lie down supine in prostration and obeisance before the political thieves who have turned them into glorified beggars.

The youth especially are too divided, too shallow, too devoid of ideas, too distracted and too worthless at solutions provision to even be a shadow of the youths of other Nations. An inspired youth class get Nations out of trouble with their innovative endeavors everywhere.

That is not Nigeria and a realistic person will agree the best option remains to support those who can make a difference, like Fashola and Ribadu et al, till evolution lends a hand to aid us getting where we need to go. Which youth do you think will join you to hound their "own" all in the spirit of "let us get rid of these old thieving bastards" ? Don't you read comments here to note the same youths you have misguided hope in praising the 'recycling' of Anenih?

Why not try right now convening SS youths to support your group touting a talented Yoruba individual to depose GEJ? See if they will volunteer for such an "embrace merit" ideal once their own is the "victim". Who are those who dislike Fashola here the most? Are they not youths? Why don't you begin trying to get them support Fashola to replace GEJ considering all neutral folks and non-Nigerians don't even think Fashola and GEJ should be mentioned in the same sentence as far as administrative talent is concerned? These same youth will argue Fashola is the devil and GEJ is "the best President ever". I think you know the truth behind that flight of fantasy. Are they the same youth you want to partner with? March with a few youths and they will be the ones to plunge the knife in your back when they have been paid off. You should face the fact that your nation has serious problems revolving around a very morally compromised people. Non more indicative of this than "youths" . Solutions need to be pragmatic and realistic.

Had it been Nigerian youths were impressive, moderately principled and politically sophisticated then I would be more than happy to join you risking life and limb for change. I don't need to remind you of how the subsidy protest was turned into a "Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani plot against GEJ"? In virtually all nations on earth national unity, political maturity and oneness of purpose would make everyone see that it is plain wrong to support a very corrupt President who decided to punish poverty-addled Nigerians instead of tackle scammers and the sort of unacceptable theft he swore to protect Nigerians against.

Bottom line is that we have different beliefs. Your radical pontifications will never work and sound populist to me in face of what is on the ground. I think Nigerian youths were even more passionate and united in the days of Gani than today. You do your thing and I will do mine which revolves around senstitizing Nigerians to vote for the lesser devil instead of shouting unrealistically about a Jerry Rawlings 'cull' and suggesting 'saints' who cannot even deliver their streets. I just hope you can sometimes talk as if you recognize the reality on the ground. No one, anywhere, can deliver solutions until they understand the problem.
Exactly, this is why a nationalistic revolution CAN NEVER HAPPEN in Nigeria. Revolution is only possible if Nigeria is restructured to regions. Point of correction: the subsidy removal was a good step in the right direction but poorly managed that is why 'others' didn't join the Hausa/Fulani & Yoruba in their parochial protest. Similar to this protest was the Unilag/Maulag unnecessary demonstration. It was grossly unnecessary given the way this same people eulogise MKO. A pointer to the unacceptance of GEJ was established. While APC is political correct and good to emerge, the mindset of its bigwigs is purely geared towards ousting GEJ at all cost come 2015 and this can be traced towards that same unacceptance of him for some unclear reasons.
@topic, IBB clearly has shown that he is no more a PDP member. This is no good for the present PDP but who cares since GEJ's presidential destiny is not tied to IBB's endorsement.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Successfully Tests Arrow 3 Missile Interceptor by Yujin(m): 7:27pm On Feb 25, 2013
lagerwhenindoubt: The North Korean Government recently released the Driller H2B for commercial sales.
North Korea successfully tested this Underground-drilling nuclear device following a successful test of the Arrow 3 Missile interceptor by the Israeli Government.
The Driller H2B (Hydrogen2 Bomb) successfully drilled across the South Korean border then proceeded deep into the Mongolian Heights before being prevented by border-patrol for lack of a valid shengen visa.
Despite the hurdle, the Driller H2B has shown great promise as several high-profile buyers from the Middle-East and Northern Nigeria have already placed orders.

UN and NATO have instituted Sea/Air and Land blockades to prevent the Driller H2B from leaving North Korea. there are Rumours that some extremist elements Nort of Nigeria have offered a solution that will allow the North Koreans deliver the Driller H2B to any corner of the Middle-East and Africa. - - Under-fed Camels.

I for one is a thorough bred historian and a great researcher so I still maintain that Christianity is a reality (above religion). The Crusades as you mentioned had another mission outside the tenets of Christianity and the first of its series was in the 11th century. Possession/Reclaimation of Jerusalem(considered a holy land by the christian was occupied by mostly muslim arabs which the 'christians' then didn't accept in good faith. Those christians have been carrying out a so called religious cleansing(killings) known in history as the inquisition among the christian-roman catholic empire(a clear deviation from the teachings of Christ). The first crusade was at huge waste of innocent blood and was 'successful' to the crusaders because the christian empire was still monolithic(roman catholic under one pope) but by the time of the second crusade, the christian empire has been broken into two namely the roman catholic and the byzantine empire hence the lost/partial success of the second and third crusade. The byzantine empire didn't join the crusaders in their wanton shed of blood. Outside these accounts attributed to christianity, I challenge you to bring any other show of violence attributed to christianity in any other part of the world. For Islam, as it was in the beginning so it is till date from one continent to the other.
Politics › Re: Wukari Crisis Caused By Football Match Argument by Yujin(m): 12:26pm On Feb 24, 2013
As long as Northern muslims are concerned any little thing can degenerate to a religious crisis. Ordinary quarrel with a non muslim, any nearby church building would suffer it. Any political squabble, church buildings most times are torched leaving rival party offices untouched except on few cases. Northern Muslims do these because to them state and religion is thesame even in a multireligious society. Of course the Christians have learnt how to rise up to the task now unlike before. More of this will until northern muslims learn their lessons which I doubt they would in the nearest possible. Separate religion from state.
you fellows are getting back what you did to the Pagans. Its Karma. you cant escape it.
Lol. 'You fellows', are you referring to Christians or Muslims? Christianity at least in Nigeria was not spread by the force of arms or coercion unlike Islam. Uthman Ibn Hodio and his band of murderers(whose story I know too well from the west through the east of northern nigeria) and their descendants who share their views would reap what they sowed and are still sowing.
You I believe are still a pagan and I advice you to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour for He alone is the hope of mankind. Though with beautiful and enticing customs and festivals, darkness hovers round paganism(idolatry) and man can only grope in darkness.

With this post you have won the debate. Nigeria rightly ought to be in that list. A place where the masses are hopelessly waiting for divine intervention because they don't seem to know any other way out of their predicament. A place where no suspect in any assasination case have been punished. A place where if one is not killed by terrorists an accidental discharge from a cops gun will or armed robbers will sink bullets into him after dispossesing of his meager money. A religious or political crisis will ensure he doesn't live should he escape all the aforementioned death traps. Who is 51% sure of seeing a peaceful day tomorrow in Nigeria? Nigeria ought to be in that list.

I have warned before and I will warn again. The forceful islamization agendum of the people of the middle belt(minority christians) is on going. Only those minorities who willingly accept will be spared those who resist are earmarked for destruction. The tale of subjugation has been going on from the past 20yrs in Kaduna, Bauchi, Plateau, Yobe and of recent Nassarawa state. Taraba is feeling the heat now while Adamawa and Gombe will still join the gory performance. It is the resistance put up by the indigenous christians in their respective states that is resulting in all this squabbles. Its only Kogi and Benue states that such crises will be rarely found and it is for a reason. The elderstatesmen from these indigenous christians in their blind pursuance of a phantom political fraternity with their killers keep mum while their people perish. For instance, Yakubu Gowon of Plateau. T. Y Danjuma's home town- Takum is just some few kilometres from Wukari but he will never comment on this bloodshed. He is more interested in owning oil wells. Honestly, the bravely but costly resistance of the Plateau and Southern Kaduna peoples to the Hausa/Fulani domination in their own fathers' soil have emboldened other indigenous christians to rise up and challenge the usurpers of their God given rights and privileges. This is why it resonates and will still vibrate throughout where indigenous christians in the middlebelt have been reduced to data members in states they have appreciable strength. May God help the peace loving christians of the middlebelt and the entire north from the hands of their oppressors. Amen

Both arguments for and against this Ezeship have been strong and each with valid points. Personally, I see the NL Ezeship as the President sort-of of Ndigbo on NL whose words, actions and mannerism stands to protect the interest of Ndigbo and Alaigbo. A man whose contributions are lucidly unambiguous when it comes to matters affecting Ndigbo. It is going to be a very demanding duty, those vying for it should take note. Lol. The soldiers would have opened fire on the mopol but for the latter's equal fire power. Talk about the regard for sophisticated weaponry. To be well armed is good.
You are on point. Those soldiers could well be disguised boko haramists on special assignment. If they fail to give the necessary pass for their passage, do you expect the mopol to let them cross over? As far as security is concerned nobody should be given undue preferential treatment.

Good. With Buhari and Tinubu out of the race, APC has a better chance to get to the presidency if that will bring succour to the suffering masses. PDP is on its way out except it changes for good; performing better than is obtainable in its present scorecard. GEJ, many still love you and you must understand that they have suffered a lot for you. You've been trying but until it is felt by those teaming masses, that effort amounts to nothing. Mutiny is not a new thing. Let those who feel a haram have been done do whatsoever they feel they can do. We are neither scared nor alarmed but nothing will be taken for granted. Didn't they say that Nigeria belongs to all? Why then did they not make such discovery since when the Hausa/Fulani filled every important position with their people? This was thesame thing they did to oust the immigration woman while thesame thing she was accused of is still at present going on in customs, nnpc etc without them speaking up. Are some people more Nigerian than others?
As much as I try not to associate this malicious write up with the Yorubas, my instinct still tells me so. I do not like having problems with non-violent people of which the Yorubas are one but if actually this is from them then I may have to review my position.
The other write up on Super eagles is not amusing especially as it is coming from a Yoruba man- people I least expected to tow that line of reasoning. This constant insults on President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan by many people from the West also gives credence to my observation that the West prefers ONLY THEMSELVES OR THE HAUSA/FULANIS TO HEAD ANY POWERFUL ORGANIZATION. I may be wrong by generalizing but I find it difficult to understand why calling a duly elected President, retardeen, drunk fisherman, Jonathan and other sort of derogatory names.
Mutineers, you are welcome. Tsuntsu da ya kira ruwa, shi ruwa zai daka.
Ndigbo, while berating this piece of propaganda, NEVER lose sight of the the real price - 2015 PRESIDENCY. GEJ is the real target, we just seem to stand in the way and hence must go down too. The oil bloc renewal from 2017 to 2019 are just too juicy to let go. This is also a wake up call for fellow Igbos that join the chorus. Look beyond the surface, the price may not just be what you think it is. You may just be a pawn in another man's chess board.

Some people want to get back to the Presidency via the VP backdoor. They seem not to be patient enough for other groups to lead hence all the incitement and gang up going on. From fuel subsidy protest to the chorus of 'clueless'and 'retardeen' and many others. They are actively swearing that an Igbo man will NEVER be president, even on this forum. This is not just about Ihejirika and some guy that care about the army. It is about 2015.

Choose you positions wisely. Look beyond the surface. The plot is deep. Judge GEJ and others based solely on what they promised to deliver to the SE and don't start doing that until at least the third quarter of 2014.
My man, you have the wisdom of an exceptional wise man. Nairaland General › Re: Video: Real Story Of Nigeria by Yujin(m): 10:28pm On Jan 29, 2013
The main problem of Nigeria was the Brits who wanted puppets they could easily manipulate to dominate the new empire. The Hausa/Fulanis were willing puppets for the Brits and so were favoured by the Brits. The Igbos and Yorubas new of this but the problem was 'who will bell the cat'?. Is it the Yorubas who already had so history of warfare with the Fulanis or is it the industrious Igbos who cherish freedom and progress not having been defeated by any African group in warfare? And so the coup plotters(military men from Igbo, Yoruba and others) plotted to salvage the already corrupt puppet government. Because more Igbos took part, it was termed an Igbo coup and the rest is history. This is the Nigerian story and all those who contributed in the genocide that took place are paying for it. Enjoy your Nigeria.

aribisala0: Many Igbos on this forum appear to place so much value in this business of being or not being a coward.I find this funny to be honest. So It is better to NOT be a coward or to prove you are not a coward and sacrifice the lives of millions of people. Cowardice and pragmatism on the one hand, Bravery and recklessness on the other may be two sides of the same coin and different currencies mean more to different peoples I suppose. That kind of resoluteness we saw in the Japanese who would then go on to commit suicide if they had been in Ojukwu's shoes but Ojukwu was not Japanese and people see the world differently.
Again many Igbos talk of Aburi . The reality is that Biafra was not in a position militarily to insist on Aburi or anything. It was defeated ab initio and the macabre dance of death that followed was an inevitable consequence of Ojukwu's choice. The issue is not who was right or wrong but a purely military one. Did the British discuss with anybody before amalgamating Nigeria in 1914? Why did we not go to war. Is it when an armed robber enters your house and point a gun at your son that you display bravery? Machismo is not bravery at all
Ojukwu had a bad hand if I may use a card metaphor. He had no good choices. No one is holding the Igbo down.Did Ojukuwu consult with the Non Igbo groups in Biafra and did they support him. As long as you open a Biafra debate you will find others who disagree with you. That will not change. You can always start the war again or get on with the current reality. What about the killings of Akintola,Sardauna, and others and Ironsi's handling of that affair is that not relevant too. The story has several sides to it.Not just an Igbo side
You wrote 'In reality, Biafra was not in the position militarily to insist Aburi or anything', talk about the power of the barrel of the gun. It equally means the present Igboland was annexed by the 'Nigerian' Nigeria and not the Brits. So there is actually no need for apologies and compensation! Like I mentioned in my previous post, lessons have been learnt and will not be forgotten. Enjoy your 'One Nigeria' while it lasts.

aribisala0: In times of tension we are ,all of us, capable of acting like a mob. today the government is at war with "BOKO HARAM" in our name. Do we question their methods? No. Many here on Nairaland cheer when they hear of more Boko haram fighter killings but atrocities are happening daily in "our name" and it is "okay" because Abokis are being killed. Do we question how many are innocent women or children? No. Somehow we tell ourselves they are in it together and deserve whatever they get. That kind of mindset is easy to produce using modern media . I am sure somthing similar happened in "Nigeria" during the Biafra war. We must somehow be able to rise above hurt and see things as they really are. We are all capable of the ALUU killings and a lot worse we are also capable of a lot better and hopefully we are in a position to make the right choices. Those who insist on being victims punish themselves and no one.Are we not all victims of Nigeria, the British huh
If indeed we are all victims of Nigeria, why not we sit down together and negotiate Nigeria?
You are quick to point fingers at Ojukwu! What happened to the Aburi accord? Why was it not honoured? It was this action that made the easterners lose faith in Gowon(Nigeria). If Ojukwu had not gone to Aburi, we would have blamed him for our woes. Surrendering to a person who does not respect agreement ONLY MEANS ONE IS A COWARD and this Igbos are not. Well, you can say we have learnt albeit a hard way but just know it is not yet uhuru. He who holds another man down himself will not be mobile.
The only lesson we learnt from the war is that their are no rules nor limits in engagements. It was a bitter lesson that will not be forgotten.
Politics › Re: Obasanjo Cautions Achebe & Awolowo’s Loyalists Against Civil War Comments by Yujin(m): 3:26pm On Jan 27, 2013
aribisala0: No you should not forget. But you can either find a way to move on or start another war.If we decide to revisit the history there are many versions and there will never be agreement of whose version is more accurate. War is not a football game and Ojukwu must have known the consequences of his declaration ; defeat was ALWAYS going to be devastating. We all know what led to it but was his option the solution ? We can argue that till Ojukwu resurrects but if you go to war you cannot then turn around and say the enemy played dirty. That is naive when you are fighting for your existence NOTHING is dirty. LESSON: Don't go to war unless you will win.
Well what determined the outcome and that Nigeria remained together then will determine again ; Foreign Powers like the UK and The US NOT Nigeria's might. Did Ojukwu check with them before going to war? All round his endeavour was naive and always doomed and he like others on the Nigerian side must share responsibility for the needless deaths of thousands.
Now the war is over and the some people won't let go. Well no point shouting from the rooftops start another war but be better prepared this time
Actions and reactions are not equal in human interaction: True
No rules in warfare(carrying out genocide) even among a people you claimed you intend to re-unite into your nation. Is there another word for annexation other than this?
Do you know what it feels like to be insulted and abused by your 'fellow cowpatriots' simply because you are Igbo(lost a war)? Do you know what it feels to be told indirectly that you can't govern a country you are forced to be part of? How can this same people be proud of your Nigeria when their kinsmen are continually being murdered by islamists without the perpetrators prosecuted? You CANNOT JUST TELL THEM TO FORGET AND MOVE ON.
On starting another war; when the time is ripe you will see. This is because Nigeria feels they have no case whereas their case is valid. Call the Igbos and address the Civil war issue(apology and restitution/compensation). Igbos do not hate other peoples of Nigeria. What they hate is the Nigerian system designed to make them irrelevant despite all their efforts(contributions) and sacrifices towards making Nigeria great.
In the heart of OBJ and other nigerians who fought the civil war, they know very well the injustice done to the Igbos that is why they make these statements.
To forget and move on like that is not possible.

You may want to know that the Taroks and Fulanis have had series of clashes without the Taroks being ashamed. The history of Wase itself is similar to that of Ilorin and the Taroks are seriously not happy. The Taroks are remarkable warriors you wouldn't want to mess with. Fulanis still feel they can conquer the middlebelt and are ready to execute all and sundry to achieve their aim. We are watching.

Christianity Etc › Re: Catholic Church Pulls Out Of CAN! by Yujin(m): 8:05am On Jan 24, 2013
nagoma: I have always had the confidence that the true chistians will raise their hands and voices in the end. The present CAN is the religious wing of the PDP as indicated by the catholic church. The Anglicans should not delay. They can't live with untruth.
Mr, how much do you know about the Church? Roman Catholics pulling out of CAN doesn't change anything. Besides its just on the national level.
Commendation MUST go to Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor for standing up unflinchingly for Christians at the height of the attacks by your brothers(bh). When the time comes you will know that nothing has changed.
@topic, the Roman Catholic Church has some points esp if CAN is being too close to the govt. Religion should be separated from the State.
There is no cause for alarm.

Nigerians, what is the worth of your lives? What is the worth of the life of a nigerian?
It is clear that this is no news any more. SMH. And so many more will be killed without any tangible thing done to remedy the situation.
Politics › Re: Obi Promises N5m For Information On Bodies In Ezu River by Yujin(m): 11:07pm On Jan 21, 2013
Sad, so sad. Investigation begins.
*What are the other streams/rivers upstream that feeds this river?
*At what speed(flow rate) does the river flow?
1. What are the genders of the corpse? If mixed, then it is most likely drowning/a capsized boat. If a capsized boat, why was it not reported?
However, if purely males then it is most likely murder(cult related activities are ruled out because of the number involved).
2. Study the corpse for injuries or fractures. If they are with wounds, it MUST be murder. If not Autopsy for poisoning should be conducted.
3. Like others have mentioned, water in the lungs means the victims were alive before entering the river.
4. Even clothings, ornaments and other add-ons on the corpse are clues to unravelling this puzzle.
Ndi-Anambra, if indeed you are luminary giants as you claim then this should not pose a difficult nut to crack.
Just so sad.
Food › Re: Giant Rat Peppersoup(pictures) by Yujin(m): 8:58am On Jan 20, 2013
spyder880: Ewi is not the grasscutter, ewi is a giant bush rat. The grasscutter is called 'nchi', huge, wild and very tasty meat much more expensive than beaf. We drive more than 5 kiloeters to villages to eat well prepared grasscutters with palm wine and it aint cheap.
You certain are correct.
Nchi = Grasscutter
Ewi = Greater Cane rat(Giant bush rat).
@OP, your good intent was marred by choice of words and poor presentation(picture & cutlery). Next time, pay attention to these and your effort will pay.
Most of those forming here have tasted this meat(bush rat) before even their civilized kins(those ones that live in pit toilets in the urban places). Its meat is tasty though if well prepared.

Tusky44: Imo state is known for education. It stands behind Anambra in producing world renowned brains but far behind when it comes to business and entrepreneurship. Anambra is the father and mother of all Igbo land.
The topic is about Imo and not Anambra. There is no need for the comparison.
