NaijaPikinGidi: Do you realize that the deck you are seeing is exactly for the NNS Thunder? And that's the Nigerian Chief of Naval Staff walking out on deck? You never cease to amaze yourself!
No it is not. I have been on the flight deck. And seen a blackhawk.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 11:09am On Sep 04, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Finally Abstract mathematics makes visual sense for AndrewZA's 33% brain capacity. You had failed to realize simple geometry wherein a diagonally aligned landing inside the marked out square landing zone would be fine for a slightly longer craft to land nicely. Accept it and stop your face saving arguments! Hopefully your South African Nairaland crew of blockheads will apologise to Agaugust for all the silly talk earlier!
Had nothing to do with the pic. That is not the same flight deck has the one on NNS thunder. The report cliams the jayhawk can land on it. I don't care about the jayhawk nigeria does not fly jayhawks. The hind does not hover nearly has good has the jayhawk, has zero floatsion bouys, and has never landed on NNS thunder.

The rooivalk has and can land on the valour and drankberg. Has in it has done it. Show me a hind on a frigate.

NaijaPikinGidi: Unlike South Africans Nigeria Army is a highly disciplined and potent force able to work in the right command structure and environment with contemporary military forces from around the world. How much did your salute cost? I can pay for it so that it doesn't appear wasted since you are making a mountain out of it? huh
You do know that a south african was in charge of a regional mission in sudan once with nigerians under his comand. So please go sit on a sharp spike.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 11:02am On Sep 04, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: You are busy talking trash here while your kitchen is on fire and your General's lunch up in flames! Well, your SANDF are known for turning those shiny DENEL weapons on themselves. As of Sunday morning you had two casualties at your Airforce Base! grin grin grin Funny Naval chef!
Sorry I am not a chef and even if I was I am all so a medic and fire fighter and a host of other thinks from OHAS rep to VIP driver.

Did he shoot him self? That was murder. But you will shoot your self in the foot to get out of a deployment.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 10:58am On Sep 04, 2013
saengine: South African Special Forces are a stand alone entity separate from the Army, Airforce or Navy. They answer to the Chief of Joint Operations, not any of the other Chiefs. 4 SF Regiment in the Western Cape would train operators in sea/land/air operations (bias in sea) and 5 SF Regiment in the Norther Cape would train operators in land/air/sea operations (bias in land).

Within the Airforce or Navy there a specialized units such as the maritime reaction squad.
The army all so have specialized units such has the tatcal intelgiance, parabats, parthfinders(parabats that jump in before any body els) extra. But non of them are speciol forces. SF train to do every thing, they cost millions to train.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 10:53am On Sep 04, 2013
Henry120: Don't you guys have a special forces team from the airforce or navy that can be deployed, like we do in nigeria? Like the guys pictured below.
South africa has speciole forces, they there own branch and have there own budget and anserw dirctly to J-ops, C-SANDF. The army have the parabats parthfinders has there most eliet forcses, Airforce have a helopter squdron that work with the SF and some very good VIP protectors, Navy have divers and MRS. The SAMHS have a medcal battlion with medics who are SF operators

Speciol forces is open to all branches and mustring.
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan's Speech At The South-African Parliament (Video) by zaandrew: 9:44am On Sep 04, 2013
love how he emphasized d Role of Nigeria and Nigerians in d Liberation of SA b4 their Parliament (those people needed to be so reminded).... Great Speech
Sorry how did you help? Please love it when nigerians try to ober hype the littel and mostly irrelvent asstiance.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 8:51am On Sep 04, 2013
Fighter Pilot: By the way, do they want all 78000 SA force to be deployed. UN will not have money to pay us.
They want to airdrop a frigates in to the laks and rivers to.

The only guys that go there from the navy are observers, Intelgaince, protecstion(to look after the airforce choppers) and MRS, chefs and support personal like drivers, store mans, pers clerks and instrucutors. So I will never go to the DRC or Sudan.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 7:53am On Sep 04, 2013
chris365: you do know it's not about M23 alone. Unless you want to tell me the FIB will be dissloved before all rebel groups are disarmed(which will be nearly impossible)

am not wishing for the war to continue(God knows i'm tired of all theses African wars), but don't expect those rebels to disarm until there's a political solution.

Take for instance, only troops were requested. Now the UN wants more helic gunships.

I'm just saying that the UN is not ready to resolve the crisis cos the powers that hold the UN are beneficiaries of the DRC conflicts.
The FIB will end once FARDC is in control.

The UN all ways want rooivalks the. FIB is incomplet and they want to rush the rooivalks in.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 7:17am On Sep 04, 2013
agaugust: Augustine is right again, the Tanzanian commands FIB directly, he only consults the MONUSCO Brazilian, their mandates are different, if it was the same mandate of offensive/attacking combat engagement, MONUSCO will be on the battle frontline with the Indians and Pakistanis armies leading the war instead of FIB's Tanzanians and other africans.

MONUSCO is a joint deployment back-up reserve force in case FIB is overwhelmed in an emergency.

MONUSCO does not launch unprovoked offensive against rebels due to its limited mandate.

FIB is mandated to attack without any provocation from the rebels and Tanzania the conqueror of mighty Libya, is now teaching South Africa the basics of real life offensive/attacking combat that does not permit running away from Seleka type of local rebels.

by the way, why are you @fighter pilot and @andrewza sitting down at home entangled with your wives under a blanket while your fellow south african soldiers are at war in Congo DRC....you are both plastic toy soldiers cheesy

images of @andrewza and @fighter pilot....both toy soldiers of pretoria
There is all so a kivu brigade under the comand of a indian. The Hinds came from them. The 2 genrals the brazlin and the FARDC genrail are all part of the High command. Then the colonials carry out the missions.

The hinds were not FIB.

So now you cliaming the tanzians are teach south africa. Yet the FARDC that are leading the attack are trained by south africa. And we never ran away from seleka. We fought them till they begged for a cease fire.

I am not army, I am navy I all so work on a ship. And fighter pilot is not a parabat, 6SAI or a recce.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 5:48am On Sep 04, 2013
agaugust: you dont need a source to do simple mathematical calculation of 24m-17.5m = 6.5m.

american Jayhawk helicopter at 19.76m is longer than nigerian Mi-35 Hind helicopter at 17.5m

i told you that nigerian NNS Thunder is Hamiliton class cutter in america and the americans land Jayhawk Helicopters on that same ship and sail with it from america to persian gulf of iran with NO problems and no risk of helicopter accident.

only your south african helicopter pilots are so poorly skilled and cannot land a 17.5m Mi-35 Hind helicopter on a 24m flight deck. foolish 33% brain south african airforce pilots. cheesy

"Between 1985 and 1992 all Hamilton-class cutters underwent FRAM (Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization) which entailed the upgrading and standardization of the ship's propulsion systems. In addition, the flight deck and hangar were modified to accommodate an HH-60J Jayhawk SAR helicopter.

The Hamilton-class cutters are capable of embarking either a single HH-65 Dolphin or HH-60J Jayhawk helicopter."

http://tech.military.com/equipment/view/89165/hamilton-class-high-endurance-cutter.html

NNS Thunder will carry Mi-35 Hind helicopter gunship with ease...see photo of so much free space the Augusta 109 Helicopter cannot even occupy. simple mathematics 24m-17.5m = 6.5m

now @andrewza, you should apologize to everybody on this forum for your foolish and deliberate mis-information cheesy

.
Ok. But you will not carry a hind. It has zero naval sytms, no floastion sytem, straps or any thing. And even the jayhawk can only land in calm weather.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 5:38am On Sep 04, 2013
Henry120: The Fact remains whether you like it or not, the tanzanian general is ordering your troops around, like a master to his dog.

Fighter pilot and andrewza, when are you guys getting deployed to DRC? The tanzanian is there waiting to order you guyz around like a flock of sheep. gringringringringringringringrin
See unlike nigerians the SANDF is a dissplinded force and has no problems work with outher countries milltarys, I even saluted the brow of NNS thund and a NN officer.

Fighter pilot has all ready said he has deployed 3 times. I work on a ship. No oceans near goma.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 5:34am On Sep 04, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Three deployments to ... Soweto to guard poultry farms? You must be kidding!
This comming from a man who would shoot him self if gived a firearm.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 6:01pm On Sep 03, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: A general is a soldier who plans, organises, orders and wins war! Stop being a rebellious naval soldier chef!
You know what i mean
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 6:00pm On Sep 03, 2013
chris365: wrong.. Soldiers fight battles but generals win wars. A general's mistake can kill his soldiers and lose a war in a day.

You should know this.
A genrail with out a army is just a man.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 6:00pm On Sep 03, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Napoleon will always be remembered for his war exploits, unfortunately his soldiers remain largely unknown! Now who will be remembered in this case ... The Tanzanian General! Simple and short!
Wrong, Napoleon needed his solders some where mentioned by name. He only won because his solders were so good.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 5:57pm On Sep 03, 2013
I wonder if the Nigerian civilians know that the DRC officer that lead the attack was trained by south Africans?

Augustine Again: .

sit down...stand up...advance...halt..aim...fire...

Tanzanian army orders South African army around in Congo DRC war...

Brigadier General James Mwakibolwa of Tanzania ; South African Army's new boss
.
you do know the tanzanian general is there to coordinate the 3 (currently 2) different battalions and the support asserts, he does not directly control south african forces, the SANDF colonial does, The tanzanian all so haukrainein hinds under his control and reports to a brazilian.

You seem to have zero understanding on the subject matter (not like that is different) you shouldperhapse stop emarsin your self by keeping your mouth shut.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 6:30pm On Sep 02, 2013
Augustine Again: you mean Rwanda is rated above both Nigeria and France ? we were there with the french when rwandan general was chosen to lead by UN.

Nigeria and France refused to be led by a Rwanda, we pulled out our air force, combat troops, amoured vehicles and artillery....France did the same thing as Nigeria.

South African military knows it is less capable than Tanzanian military and so you accepted to be ordered around by a smaller but better country

tongue tongue tongue

.
France is not and never was pert of the UN mission in mali, unlike nigeria.

France pulled out because there job was done, they were not going to create there own Iraq so pulled has soon has they got the chance and let the UN take over. Nigeria pulled out because they seem to think the best military force needs to lead the mission. South Africa does not need the UN to stroke our ego, if they want a tanzanian general that is not our problem but the foolish nigerians think it is a big deal.

No helping the people of the DRC is more important than a dick measuring contest, that is why we deployed.

Augustine Again: fact is that the Tanzanian rifle is Israeli made NOT South african. leave the fact like that and DONT twist it. s.hut up !
Has i said IMI there are actually difference between the R series and Galil but a R6 is bascaly the same wepaon that the tamzian SF use
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 3:10pm On Sep 02, 2013
chris365: but he clearly stated that the sniper kill is false. So what else are you arguing
No he did not, this is what was said

“South Africa was not specifically requested to supply snipers as part of its troop contribution but the 850-strong battalion moved to the DRC to be part of the FIB does have certain capabilities,” Lieutenant General Derrick Mgwebi told a briefing in Thaba Tshwane this morning when asked about the sniper’s kill.

That is a question you would have to ask the UN,” was all he would say. At the time of publication the UN Peacekeeping Operations website did not carry any information about the sniper shot.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 8:00pm On Sep 01, 2013
chris365: by far the dumbest post on military matters so far. even your comrade that's in the military disproves this your imagination.
well the longer the range the harder the shot, but snipers are more than a good shot that is a marksman.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 7:50pm On Sep 01, 2013
chris365: you've started with this your fictitious claim again when i've proved your lies huh
What lies, you posted a statment from a press confrince where the responses was talk to the UN, i posted soures where the media spoke to A the UN, B people who are in conted with our solders in DRC and the last one was from a reporter that flew to the DRC. So please explan how i was wrong.

chris365: yeah, reminds me of our snipers using FN fal in somalia.. Nigerian military no be today o grin

we like to go close than from afar like your cowards grin
typically the FN sniper is a spotters weapon, like the M14 sniper.

Urban sniping is by it's nature a close in thing, even so one of our snipers (the one who got wounded) got up to 500m from his targets.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by zaandrew: 5:32pm On Sep 01, 2013
chris365: yeah.. still very much preferred choice
not for distance but for mid range combat it is a good weapon, for distance most countries choose the Accuracy International series of rifles, there supper magnum holds the longest distance kill shot.

you can make a FN fal in to a good mid range sniper rifel

NaijaPikinGidi: The additional info makes no difference since it does not in any way confirm or support the sniper claims by your SANDF earlier on! Tanzanians remain the main forces fighting on the frontlines! What do you aim to achieve by your last statement about the Tanzanian General? Please keep to the main arguments here! The Tanzanian is showing why he is a real general. He knows war strategy and his troops are disciplined enough to take and obey orders!
i just posted a sources where i highlighted the guy who said it name you may phone Colonel Patrick Dube if you want
