slimmy05: I don't even think a U.S. Citizen needs a visit visa to enter the UK. The sweet little baby is free to roam round UK. Lol, they need a transit visa. U can't just carry your bag and start roaming about the Uk. Same to uk citizens too. You can only come to the USA for 3months and u need to apply and print out a form online. It's called esta. You need to be authorized |

kennyzita: Hi guys,
Really long time. . .
I want to ask please, if my daughter is travelling from the US to Nigeria on British airways and will be having a less-than-two-hours stop over in Heathrow London. She is just 4 months old and she has both the Nigerian and US passport, but none has visa in it. And she will be travelling with the Nigerian passport, and US passport will be checked in. Does she need a UK transit visa?
Expect your responses, y'all. . .
Thanks. She doesn't need a transit visa as long as she doesn't enter the UK. If its just a stop over, you will only be allowed to wait to your next flight. |

nefertitiram: So, regarding opening bank account, I guess the bank can do with the free publicity.
My cousin drove into US Bank, yes, the name is US Bank and needed to drop in for a quick transaction. So I asked about account opening in passing while she did her thing. the bank was empty with only one teller on duty, so the Manager came out to attend to me. I told her I was in a hurry but I will be back, all I needed was their requirement and hope they made no monthly deductions. She asked if I had documentation and ID, luckily I was with my passport.
In 3 mins she took my details, photocopied my passport and promised they will get back to me. After they do, I can walk into any branch and pay my $25 minimum opening balance and start using my account. I asked if there are no monthly deductions and she's like "we are looking for customers, we wouldn't make deductions and CHASE them away" No pun intended .
That's how received email today, welcome to US Bank! I am so impressed! It was easy. So, if you are in need of a bank to use when you are in US, give US Bank a trial. I'm sure they will impress you too. Take note that us bank is not in All states in USA . For example usabank is not in Houston. The only one they have in Texas is just one in Dallas. So if u go to another state , u might not be able to use the bank. They are just new in banking and my sister just closed her account. Anyways u are a visitor so it's good |

lolajenc: Hello Nairalanders, I initially applied for the accelerated nursing program iIllinois state university but then some people advised me to change to another course because VOs don't normally grant visas to people going to study nursing so I changed to health information management but I already have a degree in cell biology and genetics(university of lagos) and now I'm hearing that they don't usually issue visas to second degree applicants, my interview is on may 26th, 2015...I'm a little confused...should I tell the vos I'm going for a second degree or a forget that I have a prior BSc and just say I'm going for a first degree instead? Thank you Who are those people that always give false news. Are they in the USA ? You can get visa with any course as long as you can prove it. Regardless of what course you are going for, you will always be a potential immigrant to the VO. So go with your nursing or whatever course you like. Good luck |

Richmond996: ooh girl, pls don't waste your time doing any evaluation, they wont even look at it or ask you for it, but if you have a bsc, you can be exempted from writing college readiness exams i.e TSI, (that's for people in texas), don't have an idea of where you are going to. am an immigrant here and am resuming in Houston community college by September, i wrote all the test required and also an English placement test(English is not our first language)but if you wrote SAT and scored 1500+ and above you can also be exempted too, all d best. but it will do you a lot of good to forget a CC and find a university, cause after two years in CC you will still transfer to a uni to do 3 yrs,or four yrs (depending on your course) try and channel your strength to a uni and you can finish in four years or 3 Are u in Houston right now ? |

Another challenge I have with this hospital is that it is about one hour away from my accommodation. Please could you help me find out how much taxi fare is from Highway 6 South Houston to Houston Northwest Hospital. Thanks. Taxi fare should be around $19-28 depends on traffic |

sammynwaGod: Good morning my people am back again I got admitted to a school in California which my resumption date is 13july, my problem now is that the school hasn't sent me mt I-20 and they are already telling me that my school fee is due by June 1. Is it advisable to pay the fee even when I haven't gotten visa? Its better to stay away from schools that ask for school fee before issuing i20, even VO frown against it but if you are a genuine student and that's your only school of choice, you can go ahead with the payment to get your i20 |
