Wizzy, you will get Your visa next week. You know what just pray. Involve God. Secondly, VO are not God, ask question and speak audible. She didn't check your i20 and just gave u denial letter, she obviously and will never know your are on scholarship if she doesn't check your i20. She found 2million and felt that was too low. You should have told her instantly before collect the 214b that you are on funding and you only need few cash to go. Be prepare next week, be audible and state the reason for your denial in your new ds 160. Let the new VO know that you are on funding and it was never mentioned in your last interview. I see you getting the visa. Come back here next week wizzy11: Please Guys with experience Kindly advice, Below is my my post on the other thread about my first Experience.
Kindly advice on what next to expect, without Doubt i know it's all in God's hands and by His Grace i would sail through. But if there is someone with such an experience or similar situation in the past (Or know of someone with same), please share and let's hear how they resolved it.
Hi V. O,
I see you have done so much work advising people on this thread. Thanks for your time and advice. I am a prospective Msc student (Who's been offered a tuition waiver i.e Graduate assitantship). I was denied yesterday, (the Consulate officer never asked for my I-20 or Knew i was on scholarship) she only asked.
What sch : I answered,
Let me have you Dad's Bank statement: I presented the GT bank statement since i am on scholarship.
She went through it, next thing was she offered me A sheet (Denied under Section 214(b).
I was dumbfounded. (Well i take some blame not going with My Dad's other bank statements/ His Company Documents and other documents. I felt one bank statement would do since i'm on scholarship.)
I have reapplied again and booked for another Interview in a week time.
Kindly advice. Would i have been wrong to have told her i'm on scholarship, since she did not ask? On my Next interview is it pertinent i make mention of it to the Consulate officer?
Thanks. |

imperiouxx: This got my attention. Yea, it's possible because it's just travel agents marketing term.
Question is, what does a travel agent know about schooling in U.S? travelling agents !!!! Helping US embassy since 1970. The rate of ban and denial are as a result of travelling agent. Some people don't even know they have got a ban, this same travel agent keep collecting money from them every now and then |

ifegy: Actually Tvegas ia partly right, whether or not he lives in the states , and you are partly. Medicaid is for the low income. It is means tested which means your income determines eligibility...hence the question about income that you mention. But low income is not the only requirement, and eligibility categories - ie who is covered- vary from State to State. It seems no one grabs what am saying, read this link https://www.healthcare.gov/medicaid-chip/getting-medicaid-chip/ |

nefertitiram: That is for baby, what about for herself? She's entering US as a visitor on a b1/b2 visa, not as a spouse of a USC. She may have to pay for herself if she doesn't take the medical card for pregnant women option. It has different names in different states. Yes she will pay her own bill not for the baby? As long a baby papa is a citizen and pay tax.The baby can be on medicaid. Mother needs to sort herself separate. Medicaid is automatic even if the baby papa is bill gate or Obama. Medicaid is for children from 0-19 years. On your 19 birthday , Medicaid is over. Medicaid is free health care for children and it varies by states to state in USA Medicaid is only a venom to people that are not citizen or residence because funds from Medicaid comes for our tax. So that makes a non-residence a cheat Currently in Texas, the state give CHIp (children Heath insurance program) this is for low income parent, it will take care of both mother and baby during birth, this one is from the state. Medicaid is federal. |

Lol, her husband is in the best position to answer to know if to pay or not. I have a friend did the same thing last year and her husband just filled for her and she didn't get any issh at the POe nefertitiram:
Where art you chill?
Her hubby most def will be on a form of insurance but she may not be able to access it if hubby didn't add her as a beneficiary. Pregnancy is already a pre-existing condition, thus most of not all insurance companies may not accept her. When she gets in, she should explore the P.M.E program for pregnant women in her state. Using it will not affect her immigration/ green card ambition as a spouse of a USC, but if she goes for medicaid when hubby doesn't qualify for medicaid, it may go into her record and rear it's ugly head when it's time to get approved for a green card. |

How do I know if her husband is low income ?? Read my reply well. The husband is a US citizen. Ok let me break Medicaid down to you. Immediately u have your baby , they place a call to you, ask if you want any financial assistance and if you say yes. They bring a form and you will state if you are a residence or not, then they ask for your current income. If the father of the baby is earning less than 50000, they foot the bill. Medicaid is not for people with low income, it is for children from age 0-19. Medicaid is automatic for the baby regardless of how much the parent earn. I live in USA so am talking from experience Tvegas: I beg to disagree with the medicaid part. First of all, Medicaid is meant for certain individuals and families with low incomes and few resources so the fact that he pays tax doesnt mean he must use medicaid. Secondly Medicaid eligibility and benefits can and often do vary widely from state to state. And i dont think informing the embassy will hurt her,she is not a US citizen hence she has no right at the border only priviledges.
@Op....since your husband is a US citizen he is in the best position to give you the right answer none of us can do that with confidence. Whatever happens he should have one form of health insurance or the other so he knows best. Best of luck. |

staa: Dear fam, is it advisable to write the embassy on childbirth in the us when you are married to a usc who resides in the us, I fear they might cancel my visa and ask that he files for me.another question is are we meant to pay for child birth even though he pays taxes. Am due in July and want to leave for the US next month though my visa was gotten as a single lady before I got married and have used it twice .please advise . Since you have used your visa twice, u do not need to email the embassy. It is your decision to either pay or not because the baby dad is a Us citizen. Your baby is entitled to Medicaid and all because the father is also entitled to it(he pays tax). Make sure your husband files for you before you get preggy with your next baby. It only takes less than 6months for your own green card to be processed for you. good luck |

Does kojie San works ? Have tried once, no difference, it makes the skin dry modath: 1.You too gbaski!!! Bros, e be like say u enter inside my head cos the bolded is exactly my plan(up to 12mths sef)& @Beryl15's as well .
My son's/daughter's (same one)crib was turned into a washed laundry depository& I've sown it into another mum's life since but swore never to advise anyone close to me expend money on one cos our African babies don't understand that butti level.
One other point of advise is that people should not mind people when they claim the products supplied here have had their quality down scaled (especially when they use price as their point of reference), not true in many cases.
The reason products are more expensive in the US can be linked to Taxation & minimum wage requirements.I bought kojie San for $4.50 in the US but got same product for #500 here, and its the same efficacy. Same with my baby's beautiful begginings texturiser, $7 in target but #900 here. |

Kagame: Thank you very much.
My account has more than a million, but in a fixed deposit account.
When you do a fixed deposit account investment , a new/temporary account, different from your functional account is created and cash is transferred from your functional account to this temporary fixed deposit account. When you liquidate the fixed deposit , the cash will be moved from the temporary account to the functional account.
On this premise, if I liquidate the fixed deposit , it would look as if I deposited a huge sum of money into my functional account for the purpose of the visa interview and I dont know if that is admissible as a genuine supporting document.
What do you think? Regardless of what, he can use it. He has a funding already, he should just proof to the VO that he's a credible student and he got funding. Your own statement of account is just to show that he has back up. Let him go with your watever statement of account u have. Goodluck |

First u need to go to the current school and tell the transfer the already out of status sevis to the cheaper school, the cheaper school will tell you to pay In full for that semester as a proof to show you are ready, then the whole document is mailed to sevis and u sometimes have to wait 3months for approval. Some people get disapproved and you will get a letter to leave the USA in little time. |

Kagame: Hello Guys,
I need your advice/input.
My sibling was offered admission in the US. I was meant to be his sponsor , but fortunately he secured full funding which covered his tuition, living expenses ,etc.
We are currently waiting for his I20,but am getting the supporting documents ready in preparation for his Visa interview.
Initially,I had intended to use my bank statement as supporting evidence . A substantial amount of the cash in this account was placed in a fixed deposit account, which I intend to liquidate this week. However, I read a comment on a thread by Vicjustice where he advised someone not to use such account ,as it would seem that a lump sum was deposited prior to the Visa interview.
As a consequence, a very good friend of mine offered to help with his account statement /details.
Would it sound convincing to use a family friends statement of account ? How can it be presented to the VO ? Is it possible to use my own account? . Does an account statement matter so much ,knowing that he has secured full funding? Simce your brother got funding,u don't need to disturb yourself. At least if your account funded with 1million, he can use that. He should not go with your friend account because u are never related and questions might arise and lead to something else |
