Please people I need advice should I have my waec result evaluated by Wes knowing that it might take a lot of time and the deadline of the university is March 1. Do you think Wes will be able to compete the evaluation by then due to the long process of verification or will it be a waste of money.
Did the school specify WES? I won't advice you to use WEs to evaluate your Waec, it's waste of time and money. They are several evaluation agencies in USA that accept Waec scratch card and evaluation will be done

I'm surprised to read that section from you. The method of emailing the embassy after getting the visa to inform them about your real intention of obtaining that visa has been abused. It's not against the law to give birth in US as long as you can afford it, so it's counterproductive to withhold that info during the interview even if you are not asked.
I didn't tell her to lie, I have always been against that. She is going for a group interview and talking about the pregnancy when is not asked might nullify the whole group from getting the visa.

Hi People,

My graduation is May 5, and I want to invite my siblings. I got letter from school and would write mine.. My concern is, one of my siblings want to come in before the graduation (she is pregnant, due before graduation and want to deliver here) say like February but she want to hide under the long list of others. I dont want her to appear alone so soon again because she was denied late last year when I invited her alone (I sensed it is due to lack of travel history but she visited France after the denial and just returned). Can they appear at the embassy like first week in February for an event that would hold on the 5th of May? Is it too early? please advice.
its not so early to apply because my roomie graduated last December and her family had gotten their visa like way back in October. The embassy even support you to apply early incase of denial or any processing. So they are free to apply in Feb as long as they have the school IV and yours as well. As for your sister , she shouldn't talk about her pregnancy if she's not asked. Once she get her visa, she could email the embassy telling them about her plans of coming for your graduation and also having her baby, as long as she can foot the hospital bills, she should be fine

if you don't mind,

pm for a contact, you will send your old passport and details to him, he will do all the administrative work and call you for scanning. you will appear for passport, signature and thumbprint. thereafter you opt for dhl postage of passport. all in all you travel to Abuja once but it may take 1-2wks to get a new passport. mine took 10days (sending to abj and collection of new passport).
Mine took just a day to get my passport, I didn't even have to send my old passport

Dear forumites I applied for a renewal of my F-1 Student Visa through the Drop Box Visa Renewal Program at the U.S. Consulate General Lagos, Nigeria on December 2014 but on Wednesday January 7th 2015 I received an e-mail from the Correspondence Unit (TMI) US CONSULATE GENERAL LAGOS, NIGERIA stating that the they needed to see me in person inorder to proceed with my case. But the problem I am having right now is that my school resumes on Monday January 12th, 2015 for the spring semester. It is advisable to depart the United States while school is so close to resumption. It is worthy of note to point out that when I was filling the DS-160 nonimmigrant Visa Petition I also mentioned the following information listed below
(1) That I have a pending immigrant petition filed on my behalf by my sibling
(2) That I have a valid work authorization card issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
(3) That I have four siblings currently residing in the United States three of whom are United States citizens and one a permanent resident

Ojap, Imperiouxx, Msnas, bigfrancis21, Walspring, Zeezahbee and other forumites your inputs are highly appreciated.
I don't understand, are you currently a student in USA and you in nig on holiday? you have a valid visa, you don't need to submit your visa through drop box, as long as you are still on status and you still have classes to take at your current school, the school will issue you an extension.

I heard pharmacies in the US don't sell drugs except on doctors prescription. What sort of drugs can one take along? I'm thinking Actifed, panadol, procold. Any other suggestions?
They sell drugs, it's called OTC( over the counter drugs) like ibuprofen, acetaminophen etc but you can never get antibiotics without a prescription

This question goes To those livingin the US. For a student living about 15mins drive from campus, how much can one expect to spend on transport?
Depends on the stare, in Houston, a student ride costs 60 cents, while in Chicago, it's free ride for student during session. So find out about your location but really it's little fare

Yours truly and some other poster who hasn't given me permission to disclose his details. UH is big and massive( well, most schools are). Can't count the number of times i've lost my way. I've only been here a week and still trying to settle in. The cold weather isn't helping. The income gap between white and black americans in houston couldn't be starker that it just makes me sad. You get on a bus 85-90% of passengers are black people; you get into a half decent neighborhood or take a peek at people driving nice cars, a good majority is white.
Send me a pm so I can give you my number , classes start Jan 20. UH downtown is freaking big, are you in hostel or renting an apartment outside, we could hook up when am back from Chicago.
Yes, only black take bus in Houston and train only run in downtown. It's a nice city, you will enjoy it . Just pm me

TravelRe: My Passport Was With Agent For 3years, How Can I Collect It From Him? by zeezahbee(f): 3:18pm On Jan 07, 2015
Don't waste your time calling him, 3 years is a long time, afteralll the passport is only valid for 5 years. If it's the new passport ( I don't know what they call it) , you have to go to Abuja to get a new one. You can try call the agent and you might be lucky to get but if not, just get a police report and get a new passport
