The generality of the people clamouring for Biafra (myself included) would rather if Biafra is actualised through peaceful means. However, we also know that violence is the only language the Nigerian Government understands. Uwazulike tried the peaceful way, he has been beaten, tortured, made a mockery of,locked up and many MASSOB members killed because they chose the peaceful way. It's been 15 years and still he has not actualised Biafra. The Niger-Delta militants and Boko Haram picked up guns and Government asked for negotiation. Violence is what gets things done in Nigeria.
War is bad but if that is what will get me my freedom as a Biafran then I am all for it. Referendum or war!! The day that 40 million Igbos rise up to fight the Nigerian state is the day Buhari will make Shekau his chief military adviser |

kennygee: Kogi state is a disgrace.
There are the natural resources in the state;
Iron ore, mica, marble, limestone, coal, crude oil, gold, kaolin, tantalite, feldspar and dolomite.
No governor has been able to do anything positive with them. Unfortunately, Kogi is classed as part of the 'North' and no international investor will step foot there. Your leaders are too busy amassing wealth to give a rats-a$$ about your mineral resources. |

agabusta: Ironsi also refused to appropriately avenge the death of those who were murdered and paved the way for him to take over power. That among other things culminated into the coup that ousted him and led to his death.
Just the same way the coup that ousted those before him led to their gruesome murder.
If we insist we want justice for all the coups that has occurred in this country, it will lead to an endless war of attrition. That is why a lot of people decided to wisely let go. It's not as if they don't know the steps to take. Gabbage! I will have you know that after the war, all those who participated in the Nzeogwu coup which culminated in Ironsi coming to power were all arrested, dismissed from the Army and jailed. What happened to those like Danjuma,Buhari,Murtala,Walbe and Babngida who participated in the far more bloody counter coup that killed Ironsi? They were all promoted and those of them still alive today are billionaires. Selective justice I would say. Another thing about the Ironsi saga was that he had already surrendered. Military ethics dictate that a Soldier should never shoot another Soldier who has already surrendered. Instead, Danjuma and his cohorts took them into the bush and shot them point blank. That is murder. If Ironsi had died in an exchange of gunfire, it would be a different thing. Ironsi was murdered for being an Igbo man. |

fowowe411: Stop trying to sound like a victim here bro... We both know how military coup operates. Don't talk like that. In civilised countries, if a person kills another person, be it in a military coup or not, be it 50 years ago or yesterday, even in self defence, there will be some sort of judicial enquiry into what happened. Even now in The Hague, second world war criminals are still answering for there crimes 70 years after that war ended. So don't try to cover the fact that because your country is backward, crimes should be forgotten. |

If you look at every war that has been fought, on one side are a group of people fighting to be and on the other side are another group that are fighting to enslave them. In the Biafran war, who was fighting to free and was the oppressor? Ojukwu may have declared Biafra, but he never declared war. It was Gowon who fired first. My father was a captain in the Biafra Army. He went to war to express his right to self determination. 48 years on, the so called country called Nigeria is still as divided as it was in 1967. |

1toRtoiSe1: these ones won't ever clamour for biafra. Why?
Look below.
Smart Igbos They believe in one nigeria and are benefiting from it. A few of them are listed below.
T.A Orji
Very much hated by the people of Abia state and majority of igbos for the way they believe he governed the state. The unity of Nigeria has seen him become a senator of the populous black nation. The clamour for biafra makes no sense to him cos he's enjoying immunity.
Phyno
Sings with Olamide and Lil kesh who are yoruba boys or better yet nigerians. This enables him smile to the bank. He won't want a biafran country where his fan base will be limited to his brothers alone.
Precious Chikwendu
A beauty queen who now dates Femi fani-kayode, a man hated by the igbos for reeling out the names of igbo woman he has dated before. If she cares about biafra and hates yorubas as directed by Nnamdi Kanu, she won't have the opportunity to be in a relationship with a handsome former minister of aviation. Wise girl.
Ekweremadu
I don't think the deputy senate president of the federal republic of nigeria would entertain any talk of biafra when he's currently living large in abuja. A man of that position stands a better chance of clamouring for biafra.
Mikel Obi
The green white green jersey saw him rise to being a superstar. He can never regret playing for the Zoo. If asked to choose between the Zoo and Biafran national team, he'll certainly choose the Zoo over and over again.
bianca ojukwu
She is the wife of the late biafra warlord, Ojukwu. She's currently representing the Zoo as an ambassador in spain. She definitely doesn't see herself as a biafran because of the bumper pay she receives from the Zoo.
Nnamdi Kanu
Lives in london and flies about with a passport giving to him by the Zoo.
....
Gullible igbos
These ones blame all their failures on Nigeria which they call a Zoo. They wake up every morning to recite the Zoo's national anthem and salute the Zoo's flag hoisted in every banks, schools and institution in their beloved biafra. When filling a form, they state the Zoo as their nationality. They voted massively in the Zoo's last election. The Zoo pays their men who work for them. Even with all of these and many more, they still think they aren't also baboons in the Zoo they call Nigeria.
I believe if they were as rich as the smart igbos mentioned above, biafra would be the last thing on their lips.
God bless SW, SE, SS, NW, NE and NC.
One Nigeria You are a funny individual. How do you expect anyone who is feeding fat off the rot called Nigeria to support the disintegration of Nigeria? Do you think Biafra is about a few wealthy individuals? Far from it, Biafra is about the down trodden in society who seek a new political dimension. I'm an Igbo man who doesn't need to be told that Nigeria is a failed state and unlike you, I haven't lost my sense of self determination yet. If you think that you and I are Nigerians because some British Drunkard called Lugard came from Britain to tell us so, think again. You can shout, scream and beat your chest as much as you want about this "British made" fraud called Nigeria. It will never change the fact that if I don't want to be a Nigerian, you cant force me be one, and by extension, there is no such thing as "Nigeria" |

ayd91: I enjoyed reading your points, so let's talk.
Can you please define the enslavement you mentioned? And slave ideology?
I guess almost all countries in the world are enslaved and running a slave ideology?
The main point of any man who wants to truly develop his people is to enlighten them on how to develop themselves. And not cursing, hurling insults at every perceived enemy. Biafra can be the solution... We are talking reforms, economic agenda, new ideologies, and others. Hitler said... The masses are swayed by emotional argument while intellectuals by rational arguments backed by facts and concrete steps. Loads of African countries were products of colonialism and I am sure virtually all of them have a high level of self determination. I ask what does the Igboman want that Nigeria is depriving him of? You want to know what Nigeria is depriving the Igbo man? In one word, "sovereignty". I'm an Igbo man, why are my affairs be conducted in a strange land called Abuja? Why do I have to go through a Yoruba and Hausa man before I can ever be president? Why do I not have an "Igbo contitution" that is reflective of who I am? Why do I not have the right fiscal and economic policy I want? The answer to all these question is "Nigeria". Nigeria has robbed me of my right of choice, my sovereinghty, self rule and my autonomy. Biafra will restore all these rights and privileges that were stolen by the White man as he created the fraud of a nation called Nigeria. |

ayd91: The white man as you call them, came down and conquered Africa not because he was strong but because Africans were too bone headed to realize that No Man is an Island. So what if a White man made Nigeria? Didn't they make cars, planes, drugs, and others? Why not jettison them all? We shouldn't have to fight for its existence or die for it. But it's worth living for. Biafra reminds me of the biblical prodigal son. Tread softly... No Igboman has ever been harassed in My presence and none will. Ask your self in what way has Nigeria stood in your way and ambitions? You still don't understand do you? Yes the White man made many things like Airplanes and Cars etc and I can jettison any of the things "if I want to". I'm sure the White will come to force to use any of these things if I don't want to use them but if I as an Igbo man say I don't want Nigeria any more, all hell breaks loose. It is the integral right of the Igbos to decide if they want Nigeria or not and if we do not Nigeria, everybody must respect our right of choice and let us leave in peace. It is trying to hold people down against their will that has caused every war you have ever heard of. |

shachris: I understand the complexity of the situation in the sense that Radio Biafra is broadcasting from London and Nigeria do not have any jurisdiction in that regards.
But there are other means to stop them, at least on the normal FM span.
it's a fact that the most of the listeners listen on FM. Many can't access the satelite radio and most cannot afford listening on internet radio.
Radio Biafra can be stopped by using simple unmodulated carriers.
They will keep changing frequencies and we will keep jamming their frequencies till their listeners are left confused and frustrated.
This will not cost much and i will be willing to offer more information if needed but not on this forum.
That radio station must be stopped. They are recruiting terrorists in my Region. You can't stop Radio Biafra, you can't stop our March to freedom. |

noblezone: Biafra is not forcing any body. Biafra should not and must not force any nation to join her.
If the Ibibio nation do not want to be part of Biafra, then we should move on without them.
I a die hard Biafran. However, if any nation like the Ibibios will be forced into Biafra which they dont want, then the foundation of Biafra will be fraudulent. And some of us will do all we can to stand against Biafra on that one. The best we can do is to educate and persuade, but to force and intimate like we have it in Nigeria is out of the question.
We want a great nation with a great foundation.
We cannot create another Nigeria and call it Biafra.
just like some people created something worse than the PDP and called it APC.
Every nation in Biafra must be allowed to make their choice. The people must be allowed to decide what they want.
If the leaders of Biafra start intimidating any minority nation, then some of us will lead the Opposition against such leaders. it is as simple as that.
Cheers to all. I agree wholeheartedly. No minority must be forced into Biafra against their will because doing this will be tantamount to creating another 'Nigeria'. However, they must be giving a referendum to allow those who want to go with Biafra to do so while who want to remain with should left in Nigeria. |

madamoringo: Ibos are wasting their time and inviting destruction to the progress they have made. No advanced country of serious country will support that a part of the country break away like is currently happening through a war, they will neither fight on your behalf nor pay for it nor pickup the Ibo refugees! Nigeria's immediate neighbours are the most impacted and neither Cameroun nor Benin Republic have a problem with Nigeria, they will not use their resources to take care of a people who have it better in life in every way currently! The world struggled to cope with the killings in Biafra in 67 - 70, imagine what it would be now when all Nigeria needs to do is to destroy anywhere with high populations and they could be beating the 3 M dead in 67 - 70 in 6 months or less! Imagine a napalm bomb attack on Onitsha market or markets in Abia? Imagine an attack on the millions of Ibos who live outside of iboland, who will protect them? The army and Nigerian Forces will be way too busy to have the time to care about an unfortunate Ibo in any part of Nigeria who has been attacked.
Is this what Ibos want? Do you have enough weapons and money to buy the weapons? Unlike 67, all borders are controlled by Nigeria, how will you bring in weapons? How will you ship in armoured tanks, fighter jets and heavy ordinance? How about food, one of th major reasons Biafra lost an entire generation of children and women? Note, Nigeria will neither feed you for free, pay nor let you be fed by vegetables, grain or meat that originates from the tightest corner of the country. You will not be able to import it too as not even a fly with destination Biafra will be allowed in Nigerian airspace!
What is your offensive plan or do you plan to play defense from the beginning to the end? Biafra's offensive capabilities will be severely limited if any! Attacking any immediate Nigerian state will turn even neutral citizens of those localities around you to ferocious enemies who will rat you out, provide unmatched forward deployed attack bases for NA from every side and you can imagine several parallel pincer movements that will tear the already small iboland to pieces within a short period of time, the borders closed, nothing gets out and only death comes into Biafra daily!
Unlike 1970, Biafra will not be allowed to surrender! Imagine that disaster, the very same reason WW2 was so destructive and killed so many people! Nigeria will capture and kill all Biafra secessionists, their supporters and commanders. This is a cause - effect situation and I hope you people think hard and well now and not let emotions get in the way clouding sound judgement.
Ibos will never be allowed in the SW at least regardless of the outcome of the war ever again! Nigeria will not allow Ibos have any minor stake in the affairs of Nigeria ever again, Ibos shall be a conquered people in practice and reality. This is regardless of the outcome of the war as you will be vanquished to the hilt! I have heard some Ibos talk about dual citizenship / residency with Nigeria; it is stoopid talk that will never happen! A war is easier to start, but cannot be stopped until millions are dead, billions of naira properties are destroyed, yet the losers (Ibos) shall be a conquered people only short of being put in physical chains. Nnamdi Kalu lives and enjoys the life of London while goading you to your own destruction! His children do not live in Biafra! Ojukwu a man that supposedly had at least 1 full day of military training failed terribly, what will Kanu that lives hundreds of KM away do better? Ibos have got self a destruction death wish and except they beat a retreat back to their senses, they are about to be whooped back to before the Stone Age or before they ever existed!! So why do we have to kill each other? Why can't we just shake hands, wish each other luck and go our different ways? Is killing each other for the sake of the White mans creation called Nigeria really worth it? Nobody can force anybody to be a Nigerian. Nigeria is going disintegrate and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Nigeria is a fraud and it is time that Africans went about finding their own countries instead of killing each other for the one the White man created for us because this is indeed very f00lish. Politics › Re: The Evil Called Radio Biafra, By Chukwuemerie Uduchukwu by zendy: 11:30am On Jul 04, 2015 |
ayd91: Recently in Nnewi, I was in a commercial bus and the conductor was exchanging words with a passenger who had complained that the bus was over speeding. The angry passenger warned the driver that her family would not spare him if she gets injured. In response, the conductor started barking at the young lady and warned her never to expect any help from the zoo legal institutions. Curious, I asked the conductor what he meant by ‘zoo institutions’ and he advised me to tune in to Radio Biafra 102.1 FM at night. Before then, I had heard about the pirate radio station but didn’t know it has commenced transmission on the frequency modulated band.
That night, I decided to tune in to the station, and immediately I hit the frequency, I heard the presenter, who addresses himself as Nnamdi Kanu (also, Director), shouting on a caller for addressing Buhari as Nigeria’s president. “Stupid black monkey and baboon, will you end this call if you don’t recognise Buhari as a pedophile, a child rapist and terrorist president of the zoo.” Instantly I recalled my conversation with the bus conductor and understood that the zoo he was talking about is Nigeria, an evil slang he must have picked up from the pirate station presenter, Nnamdi Kanu.Another thing I observed on that first day of listening to the station was the overwhelming quantity of falsehoods it propagates. Some of the falsehoods include the continuous aerial bombing of Igbos in Calabar by forces of the Nigerian government and the ordering of joint security forces in Chad to kill Igbos by President Muhammadu Buhari, after his visit to the country.
Subsequent listening to the station revealed it as having agents who regularly call during its live interactive programmes to disseminate false stories. It is really sad that some misinformed people take the falsehoods of the pirate radio station seriously. The recent protest of market men and women in Onitsha over the alleged transfer of Boko Haram prisoners to Anambra State was catalysed by a broadcast of the pirate station a day before the protest, in which it alleged that President Buhari has ordered the massive transfer of detained Boko Haram fighters to Anambra State to kill many Igbos.
The alarming thing about Radio Biafra is that it is fast gathering the support of less educated Igbos, such as commercial motorcyclists, bus drivers and conductors, as well as local market men and women, who can be easily deceived by the station’s falsehoods. If the station is not urgently checked it can endanger the peace and security of Igbo land and Nigeria in general.
Igbos should note that the greatest enemy they have now is Nnamdi Kanu, who stays far away in well secured London, and delights in inciting his people towards bloodshed, against their fellow compatriots, and the Nigerian state. No sane individual can afford to promote hatred between his brothers and other compatriots in the fundamentally interlinked global village that we live in today. Also, anyone who means well for his brothers and sisters cannot afford to activate violence and bloodshed in his homeland, which if allowed will definitely lead to the massive loss of lives and property. It also baffles me how a person who claims to love his brothers and sisters will come on air and make careless statements that can lead to the destruction of the businesses and livelihoods, shops and property of Igbos outside Igboland. Is he on drugs or insane?
It is no longer news that Igbos are mostly international business men and women, so a person like Nnamdi Kanu and Radio Biafra advocating for the destruction of Igbo property abroad and the relocation of all Igbos to Igbo land in this era of a global village must be confused. If Nnamdi Kanu believes that no one can make it and prosper outside Igbo land, what is he doing in London? Why can’t he come back to his home state, Abia to ‘progress’? It is unfortunate that some misinformed Igbos are even donating money to him. What a fraud! It is quite clear that the fraudster is fast exploiting misinformed fellows to his benefit. It is even funny that he has disowned all Igbo socio-cultural organisations and appointed himself commander-in-chief. The manner at which he abuses fellow Igbos and blacks, who he regularly calls “black monkeys and baboons”, show that he is nothing other than a racist; if other leaders abuse their followers in such manner, then what sort of leadership will that be?
The federal government and the international community should note that the pirate Radio Biafra is a pending disaster and if urgent measures are not taken to end its activities, it can metamorphose into the media wing of a terrorising group sharing an ideology of hatred and bloodshed with the Islamic State (IS).
Igbos should note that Nigeria has come to stay, so instead of wasting their time and energy in a wild goose dream of secession, they should support other nationalities and groups in building a stronger, more united and better Nigeria. The federal government and the international community should also make necessary efforts to track down, arrest and prosecute the director of the pirate radio station, Nnamdi Kanu, for inciting violence, bloodshed and attempting a crime against humanity.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Chukwuemerie Uduchukwu writes from Awka, Anambra State.
Source: http://blogs.premiumtimesng.com/?p=168024 This is silly write up. Although he entitled to his opinion, it is most disgraceful that an Igbo man like him has adopted the slave ideology of "one Nigeria". He is an Igbo man by blood but a Nigeruan by what? Oh! I because Lord Lugard told him so! I listen to Radio Biafra now and again and while Kanu can be criticised for his choice of words, there is no mistaken his message of self determination. I'm far more interested in the progress of my fellow Biafrans towards emancipation than I am about Kanu's symantics. This Chukwuemerie guy is just a hopeless Igbo slave because I'm quite sure that if Lord Lugard had never come to West-Africa, Chukwuemerie would have never gone to Britain to look for Lugard to come and give him Nigeria. Talking about bloodshed and loss of Igbo investment like a coward. No amount of investment is worth the enslavement of Igbos and only a coward decides not to fight for their freedom it could mean death. Radio Biafra is not the problem here, it is the oppressive Nigerian state that is the problem and f00ls like Chukwuemerie are the problem of Igbos. |
