Demdem: Exactly and any rebel caught will be treated like these fools.......... You really think that pictures of half naked men will deter Igbo from their journey to emancipation? Think again. Biafra is an unstoppable Train. The only reason your so called Nigeria still stands is because we haven't yet picked up arms yet but we getting there slowly but surely. It will be interesting to see how the Nigerian armed forces with an estimated population of 200,000 is going to fight over 35 million Igbos. They can't even fight Shekau and his few thousand men. Posting a couple of pictures Biafran agitators as a warning, you're not ashamed of your self? Slave of 'one Nigeria'. Go and find your own country instead of looking for the Igbos that will be with you in the same country. |

This is why it is very important that every Igbo man should think seriously about Biafra. We need to pull out of Nigeria because this is not our country, it never was. In Nigeria, we will always have crazy Islamic fundamentalists on our door step. We do not need this. The Hausa and Yoruba man is of zero value to the Igbo man.
Igbos and certain minority's in the South-South need to come together and secede from this British created 'cattle-market' called Nigeria!!

Shame on to any Ikwere that claims to be non Igbo.
shame. This is something I have always pondered. How can a people who speak Igbo as their ancestral language and bear Igbo surnames turn around and say they are not Igbo? What makes a person Igbo? I believe that Ikweres are Igbo and that Porthhacourt is an Igbo city, however, I'm not going to force anyone to be Igbo if they don't want be. |

They would have ruled Nigeria as a semi-theocracy where they dominate and the rest would be second class citizens.
That is how the Arabs and Muslim countries, those they mostly like to imitate, rule when with absolute power.
Go look at Sudan, Egypt, Pakistan and Malaysia. As an Igbo man, that sort country would have been worse than the one we live in right now and would be unacceptable. Nigeria just doesn't work as a nation. |

If the North had been the ones who had Oil and sea-port, they would have divided Nigeria a long time ago and declared "Arewa Republic". Oh come on! You think Igbos fought the Biafran war because they want Nigeria? I have no problem with Okorocha being pan-Nigerian, what I have against him is that he is a back-stabber and traitor just Chibike Amaechi. Okorocha rode to power on the name of Ojukwu, APGA and his promise to be true to his people. As soon APC was formed and they dangled 'political positions' in front of him, he sold his people down the river. The mark of a good statesman politician is one who stands by his people no matter what. Not someone who is jumping around from one party to the other for political expedience. Okorocha showed by his actions that all he cares about is getting into Aso Rock. To this day, APC is still a "one man Okorocha road side show" in the South-East. Has anyone ever seen ever seen Okorocha together with any Igbo Politician or repute besides Ngige? They all avoid him like a leper. Every body saw how this Okorocha handed his Son in-law the APC Governorship ticket so he that could go to Lagos to waste his time then come back and remain Governor. We Anambra will not forget how Rochas hosted almost 200 election 'riggers' from Osun state in Owerri so that they could go and rig Ngige in Anambra. Okorocha is a joke, we are going to stone him with pure water if he ever shows his face in Anambra. |

What is 'Imo state people'? Igbos that illiterate military men like Buhari named after the Imo river. What is Anambra state? Igbos that a military idi0t named after the Anambra river. Even Nigeria is named after a river. This 'divide and rule' tactics really worked well for the Northerners. When get Biafra, one of the first things we shall do is abolish all the states and bring back regions. As for Okorocha, he should perish any thought of being president. Bonny is rich in history because it is one of the first places Europeans visited in West-Africa. I remember reading about the Bonny "Boat trading houses". This Island was also the place that they say King Jaja of Opobo left with his followers to found Opobo in 1870. Remarkably, King Jaja of Opobo was actually an Igbo man from present day AmaIgbo in Imo state and his fathers name was "Ozurumba" although King jajas real name was Jubo Juboha (Jub-oha in Igbo means "ask the people"). Bonny is blessed. I once read that there are people called the 'Bonny Igbos' native to that Island but I don't know if this true cause I've never been there. Im still a bit shocked that they speak Igbo in Opobo |

Did Slovaks and Czechs lose their assets when the country divided into Czech and Slovakia Republic in 1992? Did Southern Sudan lose their assets because they left Republic of Sudan? Don't talk rubbish. No Government will seize the assets of another just on the basis of citizenship. If a Government does that, no foreign investor will ever step foot in that country ever again and that country will remain a pariah nation for many years to come. When we get Biafra, the Igbo business Man making money in Ilorin had better think about relocating his investment back home or he is on his own in Nigeria. No amount of Igbo investment in Nigeria is worth our freedom. Besides, Nigeria is just a small patch land on earth, there many more places to invest and we Igbos don't think small.Doesn't matter how you see it, if a people don't want to be with you, you can't force them to be with you as one nation. If Nigeria divides, we part our ways completely. The Ikwerre doesnt need the Igbo brotherhood. The iGbos want to create a republic where they will be overlords and in total control..Nigerias many tribes act as a check and balance system, Biafra will be a winner takes all for the Igbos. Ikwere is but a tiny section of the South-South. Their entire claim to fame is denying to be Igbo and ownership of Portharcourt. I've always said that Biafra is not a country "of by force". Anyone who is not interested can choose to remain in Nigeria. Let me tell you something you may not know. On the day that Biafra was declared in Enugu, Porthacourt were the largest contingent that came to celebrate in Enugu. Then, the Ikwere's were everywhere and proud to showcase their "Igboness". You can verify what I'm saying by reading General Philip Effiongs "Biafra:My story". I'm quite sure that if Biafra had won, you would not have remembered that 'you are not Igbo' today. If you read history, you will find out that Igbos never tried to create an 'empire' by fighting the minority tribes that surround them, unlike the Yorubas and Hausas, so this talk about Igbos wanting to be "Overlords" is baseless. Infact in Biafra, after Ojukwu, the two most senior people in Governnent were from the SS. So stop all this useless talk. If you don't want to be dragged into a war, that's a different thing but don't make it out that Igbos are your enemy when Igbos have never done anything bad to you. |

The only very few Igbos who are against Biafra are those ones who were born or raised outside Igboland in places such as Lagos. Those ones don't even know how to get to their village in the east to talk about understanding Biafra. owobokiri: In the 60s, the igbos after a series of well orchestrated campaign of calumny/violence directed against them by the rest of the majority tribes in Nigeria, asked for the loosening up of the Nigerian federation, the same way Indians and the Pakistanis and Bangladeshis sat down and worked out seperate unions, but this noble idea was ruthlessly stone-walled by the rest of Nigeria. Rather than chart a course of peace, Gowon and his brothers in genocide unleashed a genocidal campaign basically to cleanse the Biafran enclave of any indigenous ethnic grouping. Biafra didn't ask for war. Biafra wasn't interested in war. War was forced on an unprepared Biafra and the butchery tha followed has become an infamous badge of honour worn with glee and expressed whimsically with taunts by these groups whose only stake in the Nigerian state is to contineously fashion out ways to loot Biafran resources.
Fast forward to 40 years after that brigandage/carnage, an ideologically placid lawyer, out of his frustrations with the Nigerian states vicious attempts to stunt the developmental strides of his biafran people, started a non violent agitation for the freedom of his people. He was deliberate, painstakenly carefull and very detailed in his peacefull pursuit of this very noble goal. What was Nigerias government reaction to this? Killings, more killings and many more killings. Today, Uwazuruikes peacefull engagement with the Nigerian state over Biafra has become a source of derision towards him as fellow Biafrans and sympathetic nigerians who have always pointed to his grand delusions in thinking that you can peacefully nudge an intoxicated-power drunk king kong back to the part of peace contineously remind him of his follies that have cost a reasonable amount of lives. Biafra has never fought a war with Nigeria per se. Biafra was simply invaded by different powers for obvious reasons. Biafra is now getting set for an inevitable confrontation with the nigerian state and that's where the kanus become even more relevant. Nigeria asked for this. You said it all. Brilliant write up. As much as I want Biafra to come without firing a shot, the experience of MASSOB and Uwazulike has shown that the only language Nigerians and the Nigerian Government understands is violence. This is the only thing that makes them sit up and pay attention. However, I believe that we should for the sake of diplomacy, make one last concerted demand for a referendum which if declined, we take up arms and enforce our independence. Freedom is one of the very few things in life worth dying for |

You just said I should look at the bigger picture yet you have been basing your arguments on illusions and not reality. Can you convince me why I or Emeka or Chibuzor or Kelechi or any other hardworking Igbo son living and hustling happily outside Igboland should make such huge economic sacrifice at this very time all just to satisfy the greed of a few political elite?... Why exactly should I make this sacrifice?...
You just live in a fantasy world and assume all our problems would be solved when we change our name to Biafra. You tried to assure me that because Biafra would be a part of ECOWAS, then I can move around freely without a passport. Is it not in this same country that Lagos state deported destitute non-indigenes and then you think that cannot happen when we impose an international border?... Is it not within this same country that Akwa-Ibom, Anambra and Rivers States deported non-indigenes?.... Was Ghana not a part of ECOWAS when a democratic Nigeria deported millions of Ghanaians in the 'Ghana-Must-Go' saga?... Is Niger Republic not a member of ECOWAS, yet every now and then, we deport their destitute?
With the present Igbo-phobia prevalent in Nigeria (which is obviously fuelled by some of our unnecessary SUPERIORITY COMPLEX), do you think other Nigerian ethnic groups (including the Ijaws) are very happy with Igbos?... With the prevailing Igbo phobia, if you are still 100% sure that Nigeria would be very friendly and cordial with Igbos even after we forcefully break away to form Biafra, then you must be living in a fantasy world called 'Wonderland.'
I maintain and I will continue to maintain that the problem of Igbos is a lack of good leaders. There is absolutely no zone in Nigeria that is not as marginalised as the SE and we need to stop this paranoid attitude of always feeling Igbos are most marginalised. If only we could still have visionary and patriotic leaders like Dee Sam Mbakwe, SE Nigeria would have been much more developed than it is today even with the unitary central government we practice today. What we presently need to progress in the SE is true federalism and the regional autonomy. In the late 60's, Biafran secession was a good idea considering the pogrom, but seceding and forming a new country now in 2015 would be too detrimental to our existence at this point in time. There isn't any need for this long arguments about the pros and cons of the Igbo splitting from Nigeria. The basic thing you should know is that like any marriage, any party has the God given right to ask for a divorce, and walk away at any time. Even a marriage has legality because it is entered into by consenting people who sign to before an instrument recognised by law. Nigeria on the other hand has no legality or legitimacy because unconsenting people were forced into it against their will and by a white man. Thus, if it is the wish of the majority of any of the federating people of Nigeria such as Igbos to leave the union for whatever reason. You must respect their wish. And if they are willlfully stopped from exercising their right to leave, you must respect their right to take up arms to enforce their departure. |
