EBCO: I am sorry to disappoint you guys, I am not in for this Biafra and Lower Niger thing, neither am I in for this cessation nonsense!
I will not be party to an institutionalized creation of smaller minorities within the minority.
Before we leap, don't forget: The Igbos used the instrumentality of government power to almost extinguish the other tribes and ethnic groups on this side of the Niger, during the reign of regional system of government; All schools were in Igbo land, even though the white man came through the sea; All commercial cities were in Igbo land even though the produces were from Etche, Ikwerre, Ogoni, Orashi, and ijaw lands; the rail system was conjured to start or terminate in the heart of Igbo land, even though they had no raw materials and sea ports; They forced the teaching of Igbo cultures and use of Igbo language in schools and churches and systematically almost exterminated the traces of other groups around this area; and when it was war time, they made the Niger Delta the battlefield.
The Ikwerre man loves to hate and cheat the Etche man even though we are brothers, the Ijaws think themselves alone as Niger Deltans, the Ogoni man continues to be used and dumped. So why should I willfully subject myself to yet another generation of slavery or be joined in a marriage bliss, or sex without mutual orgasm? What is in this breakaway for an Etchepian? Tell me why i should change my mind.
What I believe in and will continue to agitate for, is the kind of political goal congruence in the North and working at building a viable economic structure in the entire southern Nigeria. Politically, the entire south must realize that there is blessing in diversity. We must mobilise our diversity into a common political goal and support it with a strong economic base from the resources God has blessed us with- From Badagry to Bonny to Bakassi to Awka, we must form a political block with which we battle the North who have declared us infidels. It is an intellectual war, not a physical combat.
Biafra say, Biafra no say, Lower Niger say, upper Niger no say , all na the same thing! It is the same Ikwerre to Etche treatment!
I wash my hands off this treachery!
Eze Basil Chinwendu Oluo. Writing from #1 Amadioha avenue, Etche. Don't fool your self. If you are really an etche man,you should have some sense of self belief and self determination. Nigeria is a whitemans fabrication and the Etches survived and thrived long before the creation of Nigeria. If anything, the existence of Ngeria has dragged the SS people back from where they should have been by now. What have you gained by the 100 year existence of Nigeria? What value has the Yoruba or Hausa man added to your life? You people have been squashed by the three main ethnic groups and you are jumping for joy. Your oil and gas wealth has been stolen to create the wonderland known as Abuja which will one be the capital of northern Nigeria. If you fear Igbo domination then agitate for Niger-Delta Republic. Nigeria simply does not work as a nation. It has never worked. One last thing I want to say. If the northerners had been the ones who had sea port and oil,do you think they would be fighting to be in one country with you? You don't think they would have seceded long time ago? Nigeria is fraud, get behind the agitation of the lower Niger and stop fighting to enslave within Nigeria. |

kastonkastrol: you guys are jokers. None of the nonsense you listed up there will be accepted or implemented by any sane house of legislators or even a sane leader. I have said this and I will continue to say this; any ethnic group that doesn't want to identify with Nigeria again should pack their belongings and move to cameroon or Chad republic. No single territory of Nigeria will be negotiated for whatever reason(s).
Lower niger congress my _ass They should pack to Cameroon? You want these people to leave their ancestral land in which they have lived in for thousands of years to pack to Cameroon? Are you sane? So your "Lord Lugard invention" called Nigeria is the reason why the people should give up the lands they have lived on even before Lord Lugards ancestors were born? The sovereign will of the people superceeds the sovereign will of any government and if the people do not want to be part of a political establishment, they are well within their rights to breakaway. You will have to go to BRITAIN to find Lugard so he can get you more lands for you to pack to. Nonsense! |

The cities of Onitsha and Asaba are separated by the river Niger. I can walk across the Niger bridge from Onitsha to Asaba in less than 10 minutes. Asaba is a core Igbo city. However, Asaba is in the SS while Onitsha is in the SE. Next thing, they will say because Asaba is in the SS, it is not Igbo. When we Igbos get Biafra, we are not going to release one inch of Anioma to anybody! |

HAH: Buhari, I voted you four times in my life and I finally succeeded in the last attempt, Baba one of the Major reasons I supported you is to fight corruption and mercilessly deal with those that stole our commonwealth and put us in the present mess in Nigeria.
Baba Buhari if you are sworn in and all I see is business as usual, I assure you I will multiple by 5 the level of criticism I had for GEJ and finally dump and disgrace you out of office 2019.
Your probation period is your first 100 days to see a clear blueprint that will determine your 1460 days in office,
Lastly I will pray for your success. As I have a serious believe that under you we will have a new Nigeria.
Nigeria sai Baba Well, you better pray that cattle rearing and good governance have something in common because I have little doubt that Buhari who once ran one of the worst military regimes in Africa will be much worse than GEJ. By the end Buharis first term ( assuming Nigeria hasn't disintegrated by then),people will think GEJ was a Saint. |

mayor20: oh you don't known?. Yes they work for you but their role goes beyond defending against external aggression. the military is the custodian of the nation’s constitution and as such it feels impelled to intervene when constitutional propriety is being violated. it happened in Eygpt the twice (ouster of President Mubarak and Morsi). It happened in Eygpt and Ivory coast. Am sure and most certain that if GEJ followed suit the military will exercise their custodian right. The Military are not the custodian of anything. They are just civil servants authorised to carry fire arms. To the best of my knowledge, there is no constitution anywhere in the world that empowers the military to sieze power under any circumstance. Every time you have ever heard of a coup was just a group of opportunistic officers committing high crime. Even Ghana has a law that if any Military officers tampers with Government, whenever democracy is restored, that officer will face the death penalty by firing squad. |

Chiaka: Why kill a people who are clamouring for self determination! Referendum. Scottish did the same, we are in the 21st century for heavens sake!!! Because Nigeria is a country of barbarians! What did these men do? They seized a radio station and wanted to make an announcement concerning Biafra? If it was a civilised country, the case wouldn't have even gone to court. They would have been fined, given a reprimand like community service and let go. Instead, the Nigerian Police,to show that it is just an organisation of 'thugs' in uniform stripped the men half unclad and paraded them. Now they want to hold a secret trial. The agitation for Biafra will never stop,it is bigger than Ben Onwuka or BZF. We will keep agitating until all of Igbo land is liberated from the "cauldron of evil" called Nigeria. The whitemans fabrication called Nigeria must be rejected by all Igbos and by the minorities of the South-South who do not want to remain perpetual slaves. Tell us why Ibos never dispersed before Nigeria was created We know of Fulani and Ijaw dispersal tell us where the Ibos dispersed to in 1850 . Ibos did not even venture beyond their villages to other Ibo villges then Ibos are dispersed because the land in the SE is overcrowded and agriculturally unproductive so stop trying to embroider what is a desperate situation. Why searching for "greener" pastures? because there are no pastures at home. Face the bitter truth Regarding violent secession; we know you for your boastfulness so these empty words impress no one. That is what your NATURE is ;braggadocio And the question remains, why are you against secession? Is it really your problem what challenges the Igbos face after they leave? |

omonnakoda: No one is skeptical the difference is Ibos are too emotional and do not think far. Do Ibos have a plan or do act in anger. If Ibos have a plan why are they dispersing all over Nigeria and abandoning their homeland. The only vision Ibos have is to secede "by force" of arms nothing else. . Igbos are dispersed all over the world not just Nigeria. That is just the nature of the Igbo man to travel far and wide in search of greener pastures. I believe that when Igbos get their own country,Biafra, they will return in their millions to build their homeland. As for secession, it is the God given right of the Igbos to seceed if they so wish. Wether it will be a peaceful or violent secession will be up to Nigeria. |

People who believe in 'one Nigeria' are morons. If the North had been the ones who had oil, they would have declared "Arewa Republic" long before Ojukwu declared Biafra and there would be no Nigeria today. Nigeria is all about oil and Gas. The civil war was all about oil and gas. I hope the SS people are seeing what is happening. When we Igbos talk about uniting to exit this charade called Nigeria, some of you will be sceptical but here are northerners controlling all the oil blocs and demanding a greater share of resources that dont belong to them. I weep for the minorities, they are about to become even more minor under Buhari. |

Obascoetubi: Our struggle is not and never about becoming the president. It was not about being awarded oil licenses and mouth- watering contracts. It was not about massive infrastructural development of the Niger Delta Region. It was not about high scale appointments employment and empowerment. It was never about interventionist programmes and projects. “Our struggle indeed is about our collective freedom from a false and forced colonial union that has remained divided and un-integrated. It is about our being conferred a slave status and seen as a conquered people who must exist at the mercy of the overloads and supremacist class using our own brothers as taskmasters against us in a Nigerian union. “Our status in the Nigerian enterprise remains that of a conquered people living a slave and prisoners status. This is the collective identity we have as a people. Whether you are rich, poor, high, low, big, mighty or small, no matter how well dressed, well fed a slave or a prisoner his, he remains a slave and a prisoner who constantly lives at the mercy and dictates of others with his contributions and consent of no consequence. This is why we must now than ever stand up like the Scottish to determine our going forward for our platforms and reject our oppressors. This will not come easy.” Mr. Dokubo amassed wealth from the multi-billion naira pipeline contract awarded to ex-militants by the Jonathan administration as part of the amnesty deal. One of the best speeches I have ever heard from anyone in Nigeria for a long time. It encapsulates everything anyone from the SS and SE should imbibe. Nigeria is a fraud. |

Uwazulike has done very well for bringing the attention of the world of the right of Igbos to seceed as BIAFRA. The problem with Uwazulike is that he has not been able to take things to the next level. He has not been able to turn MASSOB into an effective pressure group to pull Igbos out of this cesspit of deciet called Nigeria. Thankfuly, other Biafran secessionist groups like IPOB and the Biafran Zionist federation are stepping things up. Majority of us who canvassed and voted for the APC, did it out of disappointment due to the untold hardship that PDP's corruption had brought upon hardworking Nigerian families.
But right now they are not accepting it, so it will make it difficult still, for any sane Nigerian to listen to them even after changing their name because its still the same old wine in a new bottle I'm not a PDP fan either but it is ironic that when PDP was producing Yoruba and Hausa presidents in the form of Obasunjo and Yaradua, nobody remembered gross corruption that was prevalent then. Nobody remembered Sai Buhari! But as a non Yoruba/Hausa man got in, everybody remembered the hangmans noose and turned GEJ into the their beautifuly made up scapegoat. I'm not saying GEJ was the best president but he was not the worse either. He got shafted more than others because he is from a minority. I challenge any Yoruba man to refute the fact that if GEJ had been a Yoruba man,APC would never have been formed. We were all living witness to how Yorubas supported OBJ for a second term despite the gross corruption. Let's be honest, if you are from a minority in Nigeria, you're gonna get shafted big time. |
