Now I see u are not smart, guess u are one of those kids on NL that knows nothing,I pray you get your Biafra and you will see the shocker that will follow
I pray we Igbos get Biafra too, there's no shocker we can see in Biafra we haven't seen in the British inspired fraud called Nigeria. Millions dead, massive corruption, infrastructural decay on a massive level and political brigandage. A shocker in Biafra might even be a welcome change.

You won't need a visa to travel but you will need a permit to work and to own businesses. Believe me no serious Igbo person would support Biafra if they knew what was at stake.
What is at stake? The economic and political subjugation of a people who are large enough to form their own country and administer their own affairs? What is at stake here is freedom. Biafra will not be easy at first, but in the long run, it will be well worth it.

The same way you "repatriated" your investments when you were being hunted in the North like wild animals during the military regime. As soon as the dust settled, you crawled back to the North with your tails in between your legs. I like our Northern brothers, they won't take non of your sh1t.
You can praise northern barbarism all you like but those people who retuned do not have a country of there's yet. When we get our country, any Igbo in the north had better have good reason for being there because they will only have themselves to blame.

And if ECOWAS says "sorry, you can't join us, you'll force them to do so? When Scotland wanted to secede with the last year referendum, EU had already told them "sorry guys, you can't join us", this uncertainty further painted a gloomy figure combined with the fact that the rest of UK says they can't use the Pounds.
If Scotland with her vast natural resources will not be accepted into the EU, at least not in the immediate, I don't see any hope for landlocked, resources barren Biafra in the committee of nations.
If ECOWAS refuse us entry,we go it alone. Like I said in my previous post, it might even be a good thing to have all Igbos in Nigeria repatriate their investment back home and help build their country. Scotland was not rejected by the EU. What they were told was that all EU member nations would have ratify their membership before they could join. As for saying that Biafra is barren and land locked. We are strong in solid minerals,Oil and gas and I don't mean the Oil of the South-South. There is oil flowing out of the ground less than 40 miles from house in the village in Anambra. Some of the richest nations in the world have no minerals like Japan and Canada but that didn't stop them. Countries like Austria and Switzerland are landlocked but are richer than Nigeria. With the Oil and sea-port, Nigeria hasn't even moved forward. It is the human potential of a country that makes it great.

Biafra will have a problem
With Niger (For sure)
With Mali (For Sure)
With Guinea (Islamic)
With Senegal (Islamic)
With Gambia (Islamic)
With Ghana (Naija ally on international issues)
With Benin (Yorubaland extension)
With SL & Lib (staunch Nigerian allies)
With Togo (A nation which is itself at the mercy of ghana and Naija)
So, how on earth do you plan to enter?

And you don't expect a country to join Ecowas, if any of the member oppose it.... All members have to agree. Also, is Naija not the country you plan to continue living in, or is it Liberia?... You will be free to go and join Chad, Congo DRC and Central African republic , with their Kings Cameroon and Gabon in the Central Africa union (That is if they allow you in)
Anyways why are we talking in future tense, when biafra will never become reality. I am sure you know that as well as I do.
If the other nations oppose it then we go it alone. It might even be a good thing to have Igbos repatriate their investments back home and join hands to make their country great. As for Biafra becoming a reality, nobody can force any determined group of people who want be free from eventually attaining freedom, it's just a matter of time.

Pathetic!!!!
Ghana,Benin Republic and Sierra Leon are members of ECOWAS. They are not Nigerian citizens and have nothing to do with Nigeria but many of them are in Lagos and living there legally the ECOWAS free trade and movement agreement. Have you chased them back? You cannot because you don't have the right. Times have changed and the law is the law.

loool... funny person.
The Member states of ECOWAS will have to approve your entry FIRST before you become a member, which I am sure Nigeria will never allow.
You think any entity can go print a passport and write ECOWAS on it, and then claim to be a member?
It looks to me like you don't know what you are in for.
Of course other member have to ratify Biafra membership but Nigeria is just one country in ECOWAS 15 member nations and Biafra has no problem with the other 14.

Oh mine..

You will be SHOCKED from the treatment that will be meted to you people by Yorubas that very moment you turn Biafrans.

Thats when you will know Africa is not America nor Europe. BET ME, June 12 crisis will be a child's play then if you refuse to succumb to their demands to leave their lands.
Well,if Yorubas turn to that sort of criminality because the Igbos seceded, then that's their shame. It won't be the first time it has happend to Igbos and it won't be the last. I still maintain that in the event of secession, any Biafran or Igbo will have the right to travel and live anywhere in Nigeria he wants without needing a Visa same as the citizens of all 15 countries in west Africa can. That is what the ECOWAS in front of the Nigerian passport is there for.

Secession doesn't mean I have go anywhere. Czechoslovakia divided into Czech Republic and Republic of Slovakia. Both countries joined the EU and to this day, many Czechs and Slovaks live in either country. None of them had to move anywhere.

These are part of ECOWAS but kicked out of Nigeria. Perish the thought of eating your cake and having it.
The Ghana must go episode happend when ECOWAS was still in its infancy and bilateral and free trade/movement treaties had not yet been signed. ECOWAS now has a parliament and strict laws that guide it. All 15 countries in West Africa under ECOWAS are free to travel and live in Nigeria without needing Visas. Biafra, hopefuly will be the 16th country to join ECOWAS.

When Biafra comes, don't really expect Igbos to pack and go, it ain't going to happen. Go and look at your Nigerian passport well and ask what "ECOWAS" engraved in front of it means because you will see that same ECOWAS in front of the Biafran passport. ECOWAS allows anybody in west Africa to travel and live anywhere in west Africa. Any Yoruba man who thinks that Biafra means kicking Igbos out of Lagos and taking over their properties should perish the thought. As a Biafran, I will never need Visa to go anywhere in Nigeria including Lagos.
Politics › Re: You Need To See What Gov Rochas Okorocha Said About Biafra Yesterday(must See) by zendy: 8:41am On Jun 01, 2015
I laugh when people say Biafra is dead and gone. The trouble with Nigeria is that it is a country built and surviving on a mountain of lies. The people that populate Nigeria never had a say about being Nigerian. My ancestors got up one day and found out that the white man they welcomed into their land had suddenly 'baptised' them with a strange name. For me,what Biafra represents is my right to decide for myself who I am. Historically, nothing connects us Igbos to Yorubas or Hausas. We were all forced to be together against our will. I cannot answer a slave name the White man gave me. The future of Nigeria must be decided in a referendum.

We maybe bigger but we are not stronger or more respected and we certainly are not happier. Russia wants the USSR back for the same reasons Yorubas and Hausas want 'one Nigeria, the economic and political subjugation of others. Millions have died for the sake of "project Nigeria" and that project has been a complete faliure. Nigeria was the invention of the White man,now it is time for Afticans to invent their own countries. I'm a proud Igbo man and Biafran.

My fore-fathers were progressive to the level that was available then, it was just a matter of time before they had proper contact with western civilisation. While we appreciate the civilisation the White man brought us, that didn't give them the right to foist a country on us and join us with people we have nothing in common with. That mistake has already been made but the present generation does not have carry on with the mistake of the White man. It is time for us to have our own country and manage our own affairs.

Biafra the land of the rising sun was a country that was ill conceived to fulfil the ambition of one man.

Biafra was born out of bitterness and envy nee jealousy.

The biafran war would always remain the most costly clash of egos the world would ever witness.

The igboman is brave, domineering and independent and would never want to be under any authority 'igbo enweghi eze' But biafra, my people, is not the independence that we seek. For as it is in the animal farm, So shall it be in biafra because it's an Ill thoughtout enclave.

We need fiscal confederation and not some biafra. we need to manage our resources our selves. we need to manage our companies and markets ourselves.

Biafra would never solve our problems. creating more state only made us more distant than we were. giving us our own country would only divide us the more.

I am igbo and I stand for one Nigeria.

join me If you are Nigerian and proud.
If you have "slave mentality" then take it somewhere else. Your fore-fathers survived before the White man came to create Nigeria. Nigeria will never give you fiscal confederation, not now,not ever. This same fiscal confederation was what Ojukwu asked from Gowon and he refused (Gowon actually agreed to this at Aburi then reneged on it) which led to the war. The reason they will never give you a confederation or even regionalism is because this is tantamount to giving your own country and the northerners know that. The choice is to agitate for your own country or to remain a subjugated slave in a Nigeria that has never worked as a nation.

The terms of any treaty can be amended at any given time.

UK might be in the EU but that doesn't give permission to a schengen visa holder to enter the UK without a UK visa.

UK is currently considering exiting the EU and there are talks of treaty negotiation and also a referendum to leave the EU.

Greece is also on the verge of being kicked out of the EU.

Not all countries in Europe are parties to EU membership. Many are still waiting to be admitted while others have certain conditions attached to the movement/right to work of their citizens across member states.

If Nigeria has to pull out of ECOWAS to protect its borders and save itself from "immigrants" and refugees (yes, you people will end up going to war with the "Ijaw Nation". Aka. Niger Delta as they would like their oil to themselves with their leaders in full control) from the "biafran republic", then so be it.
The terms of the treaty cannot be ammended to suit just Nigeria. I don't know how Shenzhen comes into this, we are talkng about talking about west African citizens of which Igbos are part of. Shenzhen only affects none European citizens. To control her boarders Nigeria must pull out of ECOWAS and all the trade benefits there. When this happens, Coupled with the fact that Biafra is in place,Nigeria will cease to be a regional power. As for the Igbos and any of the minorities fighting over oil,it will never happen because Biafra will be run under a true federal fiscal policy where every state will get at least 50% of everything accruing on their land. Ijaws will get 50% of their oil money which is something they have no hope of getting in Nigeria. Biafra will emerge as a triumphant nation created by Africans as opposed to Nigeria which is just a white mans invention.
