Politics › Re: 2015 Elections And Beyond: My Perception About The Igbos! by zendy:
dearpreye:
These are about the most interesting political times in our history as a country. This is probably the best period to be alive in Nigeria. But these are also trying times. According to Tom Paine, these are times that try the souls of men.

I'm not a secessionist. I love all Nigerians. I have NO issues with any particular people or tribe. But I love equity and justice more than I love even my own life. I just want a better nation; one founded on the tenets of equity, justice and fairness. And if the current situation doesn't favour these tenets, its time to look at another viable, peaceful, option. I have just one life, and it must be meaningful.

I'm not willing to handover to my kids a system in which they have no hope. I do not hope to bring them into frustration and injustice.

And to all Igbos here, you shall henceforth have my deepest respect and honour for being a BIG BROTHER. And if I have done anything to anyone of you, knowingly and unknowingly, this message is my plea for forgiveness, brotherhood, and peace. You deserve my deepest respect.

Let this message be the blood that is sacrificed for our unity, peace and oneness. God bless you ALL!

Dearpreye.
Unfortunately,if you are from the SS or SE, you are either a secessionist or a slave. It is either you accept the status quo, that the fraud called Nigeria will continue or you choose to disassociate your self from it by choosing a new political Union. You I and know that the problem of Nigeria is that it is running on a bad system. However, that bad system is benefiting a certain section of the country and they want that system to remain in place forever. Your kids are going to grow up in the bad system unless you lean towards Biafra or Niger-Delta Republic. Nigeria is a fraud created by Lord LUGARD and his "Royal Niger Company" 100 years ago and it has never worked since that time to now and unless you choose secession, your grand kids and great-grand kids will still be on Nairaland 100 years from now saying the same old story.

The concept of self determination that he elucidated in the write up was effectively negated by the part of the write up that says State must protect their territorial integrity and sovereignty.
There is no territorial integrity to protect if the state has no legitimacy.
Politics › Re: Biafran Struggle Through The Eyes Of Julius Nyerere. by zendy:
Julius Nyereres insightful piece on Biafra says it all. Of course, I don't expect everyone to have the brain power to understand the concept of self determination which he enunciated here. The Biafran tragedy could have been averted if the ideology of "we must all be Nigerians wether we like it or not!" Had been done away with. Sadly, even to this day, many so called Nigerians still have this archaic mentality. I am an Igbo man, I have the right inalienable right to decide for myself if I am Nigerian or not. After all, Lord Lugard did not seek my consent before threw me together with people I have no connection with such as Yorubas and Hausas. A country derives it's legality to exist as nation by obtaining the express consent or permission of the people. If a country loses that consent, it loses legitimacy. Nigeria was a fraud when it was created by Lugard in 1914 because it didn't take into account the wishes of the people. Lugard knew that the area now known as the SS/SE would have rejected being included in Nigeria. Nigeria was a fraud then, it is a fraud now and it will always remain the personification of the fraudulent practice of the White Man in Africa and that is why it will never work. Biafra is the only alternative and the only homeland I as an Igbo man recognise.

What a smoke-dream! Drean on!!

It appears you are ignorant of the constitutional provisions regarding land ownership in Nigeria. If you do, you wont lay any claim to land resources in Nigeria except FG.

As for joining biafra, you will play second fiddle worse than under Nigeria. As breaking away is impossible, the easiest way to achieve your goal is to vacate SS and SE and migrate to Fernanda Po to form your new biafra.
If you think that the SS will play second fiddle in Biafra then that's even an improvement. When Buhari takes over in 2 weeks time, the SS won't even play 'fifth fiddle' in Nigeria. As for saying that it's impossible for Nigeria to disintegrate, I'll let you know that nobody can hold anybody prisoner once there is determination to be free. Guns and bullets formed Nigeria and guns and bullets can end it.When it comes to the matter of the SS, I stress to add that not all of what the SS should be part of the new Biafra. Edo state and parts Delta state like Isoko,Itshekiri and Urohbos should not be part of Biafra unless they show commitment to the cause. The last thing Biafra needs are are a bunch of trouble makers and saboteurs undermining us. The SS and SE should unite and leave this British invented wasteland called Nigeria. When we get our freedom,if we don't agree,we can further split up into the republics of the Niger Delta and Republic of Biafra. As for those who say that Biafra sounds too Igbo, Biafra is named after the bight of Biafra which is in turn named after the ancient empire of Biafra which covers much what is present day SS/SE. There is nothing Igbo about the word.

Viva la Biafra!!!!!!

Do you know I have seen an Asaba man is threaten to keep kill a Yoruba man in Lagos for calling the Asaba Man a non Igbo? Asaba, capital of Delta is 100% an Igbo city. Forget the politics of Oil,all these people are Igbos. When the time comes, and these people are given a referendum to join Biafra or stay with Nigeria, you will see these people come out and embrace their Igbo identity with pride. We will set up embassies and you can go and apply for visa and their will NEVER be dual citizenship with Nigeria or at least with the country that comes out of The South West, we would never have ingrates, greedy and saboteurs among us whose only goal is to cry since 1966!
Don't be an Ignorant Mofo. Even after Igbos get Biafra, nobody will have any legal right to stop Igbos from traveling and living anywhere in Nigeria. You know why? Because Nigeria is an ECOWAS member nation. All west African nations do not need Visas to travel and live amongst each other. An Ivorian can travel to and live in Lagos without any Visa same as a Ghanain,Sierra leonan and the rest of west Africa. I suggest you go and find out why there is "ECOWAS" engraved in front of the Nigerian passport and what it means. In the event of Biafra, I as an Igbo man will be free to travel or live in Lagos or any part of Nigeria I like. So get it out of your mind that you can chase Igbos away when they get Biafra because it won't be possible.

The reason for secession is the same reason Awolowo,Zik,Dr Okpara and many others fought for independence. To achieve self rule. Nothing connects Nigerians to the British same as nothing connects an Igbo man to a Yoruba or Hausa man. Igbos want self rule to manage their own affairs in their own homeland. Its left for you to have a sensible mind about this man Ojukwu and what really triggered the Nigeria Civil War, that have wasted many igbos lives by putting them on a line. I am Yoruba and today, I decided to re-read about this Biafra war and why the Nigeria government did not want igbos to leave, because I am tired of Igbo cries and I want Nigeria to break up as well. I went on Wikipedia and to what I can gather about the causes of the war, was that Ojukwu doesnot like the Northerners in Power and he wants the igbos to be charge, due to the natural resource "Oil" is in the Eastern Region. The igbos were collecting Royalties from the Oil production even before the war. Most countries that supported Nigeria Govt. during war, was because of their Nations' interest. Uk was supporting Nigeria Govt cos of their Shell Company, USA was partially supporting Nigeria Govt cos of their Investments in Nigeria, Isreal was supporting Biafra cos of their nations Interest as well. Take a good look at these nations supporting each party, Do you think they give a fkkk about Africans, if they have nothing to gain from us?.( tell me about other Africa civil war and what Europe country give a fkkk, if they have nothing to offer to the Europeans?) Biafra claim they lost due to Starvation, will you feed your opponent when you are fighting, but Biafra refuse to acknowledge the fact that they went to war with less ammunition. Biafra have continue to blame Awolowo for their failure and forget the power of propaganda. We should be more focus on Ojukwu, who rushed the Biafra youths to war without better plan, We should also remember Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, who is power hungry as Ojukwu and he also betrayed his fellow Biafrians, We should talk about how Ojukwu released Banjo to fight his own people. To me, I believe Ojukwu should have been held accountable when he was alive for leading Biafria to war when they are not fully ready, I believe the causes of the war should be more focused on and if Biafra want to create their nation, they should do it in a diplomatic way. I am not been biased in anyway, just according to what I could gather online about the causes of the civil war.
So you read about the history of how the war started but skipped the part where an estimated 40,000 easterners including men, women and children were butchered all over Nigeria especially in the north? How convenient. That's why you have the luxury of criticising Ojukwu.

This is very interesting but a question that I have not gotten any satisfactory answer for till today is, why was Ojukwu rejected by the Igbos when he ran for presidency in 1999? Not that he lost the elction is my concern but why did he fail to win the Igbo votes?
Ojukwu did not run in 1999. In 1999,there were only 3 political parties PDP,AD and APP. Ojukwu ran in 2003 under APGA. I was in the east then and I witnessed the Igbos vote massively for him. Unfortunately, PDP did what they normally do and rigged everything.
Politics › Re: Throw Back Picture Of Odimegwu Ojukwu And Wife Stella by zendy:
Read the following if you want to know the truth about Ojukwu:

. There are so much convoluted, diluted and distorted stories about Ojukwu out there. Many people don't know anything about the man except that he led the short lived breakaway republic of Biafra and that later he fled into exile at the end of the war. Love him or hate him, Ojukwu is an indelible part of our history.

Languages:- Ojukwu is one of the few people who could speak the three main languages of Hausa,Igbo and Yoruba fluently. Ojukwu was born in the north to Igbo parents but grew up in Lagos as a young boy. Ojukwu would later work in East as a district officer, in the north as commander of Kano Garrison and in Lagos as Quarter- master general. In all, Ojukwu was fluent in 5 languages, Igbo-Hausa-Yoruba-English-French.

Affluence:- Ojukwus father, Sir Louis Ojukwu was one of the richest men in Africa. Ojukwus father made his money by taking advantage of the post world war 2 economic boom to make shrewd investments. His Business empire spanned shipping, banking, import and export, manufacturing, transportation and properties. He sat as chairman of John Holt west Africa, African continental Bank,Nigerian stock exchange and Ojukwu transport company. Ojukwu transport company was one of the major reasons Igbos fanned out across Nigeria using it to travel outside Igbo land and some of Ojukwus earliest drivers were the late chief Ilodibe (Ekene dili Chukwu) and Izuchukwu (Izuchukwu Trans) who all later became transport magnets themselves. It is estimated that in today's money, Ojukwus father would have been worth about 10 Billion American Dollars. People who say that Ojukwu declared Biafra to enrich himself make me laugh

Humbleness:- Despite Ojukwus fathers wealth, despite Ojukwus first class education at Epson college,Surrey and Oxford University. Ojukwu shunned his fathers wealth, rejected the plush position his father offered him in his organisation and joined the civil service as an assistant district officer when he returned from England in 1955. This enraged Ojukwus father who felt his son deserved better and when he tried to remove his son as a civil servant, Ojukwu did worse by joining the army as a common recruit! How many of us would have done such a thing if we had rich fathers?Imagine Dangotes son joining the Army as a private. After this,Ojukwus father wouldn't talk to him for a long time.

Army:- Ojukwu was the first graduate to join the Nigerian army. He was also the first indigenous Qaurter-Master General of the Nigerian army. Ojukwu would later serve as an instructor at NMTC Kaduna where he taught future military leaders like Murtala Mohammed,Obasunjo and Ike Nwachukwu military tactics.

Seniority with Gowon :- It has often been a subject of debate about who is senior between Gowon and Ojukwu. Gowon stated recently while celebrating his 80th Birthday that he was commissioned as an officer in 1956 while Ojukwu was commissioned in 1957 making him Ojukwus senior in the army. This is true, however it should be noted that an Army officer is still a civil servant. Ojukwu joined the civil service as a graduate in 1955. When Ojukwu joined the Army and was subsequently commissioned 1957 after undergoing officers training abroad, the government backdated his commission date to 1955 to reflect the year he joined the civil service and that is how Ojukwu gained seniority over Gowon. The government just saw his joining the military as transferring from one Government department to another. To this day, the Government still recognises Ojukwu as senior to Gowon while the Army might recognise Gowon as senior to Ojukwu.

One Nigeria:- Believe it or not, Ojukwu used to be a staunch believer of one Nigeria. "When we were British subjects,we saw our selves as one but as soon as Britain granted us independence and left, everything unravelled fast, everybody suddenly remembered that they were Hausa,Yoruba,Igbo etc. We could never see our selves as Nigerians and it became increasingly clear to the discerning mind the one Nigeria was a mirage"

Beard:- Ojukwu started growing his trademark beard the day he was appointed Military Goveror of Eastern Nigeria. Before then, Ojukwu was always clean shaven.

Secession:- Contrary to popular opinion, Ojukwu did not get up one day and declare Biafra, neither did he start the war. The counter-coup of July 1966 of which the president-Elect Buhari was a ring leader saw the massacre of mostly easterners all over Nigeria. An estimated 30,000 men, women and children were butchered in wave after wave of remorseless violence. There are two things Ojukwu did to show he still believed in Nigeria. After the first wave of killings,Ojukwu asked many of those who fled home to the east to return to the north and even encouraged those who were planning to return to stay put. Ojukwu even escorted the returnees to the border between the north and eastern region as they went back, sadly many of them were killed in the next wave of violence. The second thing Ojukwu did was that even though he was besieged by his people who asked him to pull the Eastern region out of Nigeria, Ojukwu resisted and went to Aburi,Ghana to negotiate with Gowon on how to keep Nigeria one. Ojukwu and Gowon reached an agreement called the Aburi accord which both men signed in front the president of Ghana. Sadly,Gowon returned to Ghana and repudiated the agreement and to make matters worse, Gowon went ahead to create States without the permission of any body. With the the failure of Gowon to stop the killings, his abandonment of the Aburi agreement, the eastern Nigerian consultative assembly (a body which comprised of traditional rulers and district heads that adviced Ojukwu on how the east should be run) gave Ojukwu the mandate make Eastern Nigeria self Governing. Ojukwu the declared Biafra. Even then,Gowon could have returned to negotiation table.Instead, what he did was to rally troops and attacked, starting the war. If anybody caused the war, it was Gowon.

The war:- It should be noted that Ojukwu went on numerous peace missions during the war to end the crisis but to no avail. What type of Warmonger does this? Despite being outgunned and out manned,Biafra fought gallantly almost 3 years

End of the war and exile :-Contrary to what some people say on Nairaland, Ojukwu did not dress up as a woman to leave Biafra. He also did not abandon his people in the middle of the war to save his skin. I urge people to read the following books to get the true idea of how the war ended and how Ojukwu left Biafra. 'The struggle for secession' by NU Akpan and 'Nigeria and Biafra: My story' by General Effiong ( in Biafra, the 2 most high ranking officials after Ojukwu were both from the south-South. Effiong was deputy and Akpan was secretary to the Biafran Government) Ojukwu was adviced by his commanders after the fall of Owerri that the war had become hopeless. Ojukwu convened a meeting of his Government where it was decided that Ojukwu and top members of his Government and their families would fly out of Biafra. Ojukwu would hand over to his deputy General Effiong. Ojukwu later went to Uli airport with the contingent that was to travel with him. Ojukwu even inspected a guard of honour. NU Akpan what was on the flight stated that Ojukwu was the last one to enter the plane. Two days later, Biafra collapsed and Effiong surrendered to Obasunjo. Some people call Ojukwu a coward for leaving at all but ask the same people what would have been the point Ojukwu staying back to be slaughtered when the war had virtually ended and had been lost? People become martyrs for a cause that is still alive, not a cause that is dead. Ojukwu spent his entire fortune financing the war and flew into exile virtually a penniless man. He would later raise a loan start business and by the time he returned from exile 12 years later, had become a successful international business man. Ojukwu often said that he did what did to protect his people and he had no regrets. Former minister of Health, Professor ABC Nwosu once said that if Ojukwu had not declared Biafra,he would have killed by his people because only a deranged human being can be shouting one Nigeria as 40,000 of his brethren are being kille

There's more to self determination than designing silly flags and anthems.

Apart from begging and running from one organization to the next, what plans and strategies do you have in place>

Do you have any state sponsored or any organized regional institution strategizing and planning for your imaginary self determination socially and economically? No

Are all your local and National leaders on board with Biafra? No

Where are your socio political and economic agenda? You don't have any.

Do you have any meaningful economic and industrial base to sustain your dream? None

You manpower willing and committed to stay and help develop the homeland? No

What was achieved by the EAST during the regional administration era when each region determined it's own destiny? Nothing...

Shouting self determination is one thing, but reality is another....

Worry less about the SW because SW is the most ready region in Nigeria socially, culturally, politically and economically.

When we determined our own future, in less than 5 years, we achieved many firsts in Nigeria, West Africa and in Africa. 1st TV station, first modern stadium built in Africa., 1st skyscraper, OAU university, O’dua Group and so on.

SW is Africa's 2nd economic and industrial base and this was made possible by the SW regional government by creating all the industrial estates still responsible for Nigeria's industrial output (Ikeja, Matori, Apapa, Mushin, Ilupeju industrial estates) and now supported by Ogun state.. Ogun state alone has more factories and industries than the entire SE/SS combined.

SW is Africa's Media and Entertainment base. Media and Entertainment money is in the SW.

Oil is in the SW and we don't even need oil to thrive

Unlike your erosion ravaged land, the SW has more than enough land resources to farm and mine for precious materials..

Can you show me any forum organized by your leaders or governors championing biafra strategizing and setting up economic, political and social agenda like they have in the SW aka Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN). Don't decieve your self with this long epistle. The fear of the unknown is not enough reason not to venture into the unknown. Self determination is not about how ready the people are for the consequences of self rule, it is about exercising that right in the first place. You can't put the cart before the Horse. A prisoner cannot start dreaming of the business he wil do while he is in jail, a baby cannot think about running with Hussien Bolt in the Olympics when the baby hasn't even started to crawl yet. In that same vain, you cannot start asking how Biafra will build the institutions needed to survive when Biafra has not been actualised yet. It is quite patronizing for anyone to think that Biafra cannot survive without Nigeria, you underestimate our resilience. We all survived before Lord Lugard came to 'herd' us together like a Shepard herds sheep, but it is now in this 21st century we won't survive? How laughable. You talk about the SW as the economic power house of Nigeria. Guy, don't delude your self. There is nothing in SW except Lagos. That same Lagos became what it is by the collective contribution of Nigerians in n general and its status as the former capital. There isn't one single commercial hub-city in all of SW except Lagos but I can say with no sense of self indulgence that that my home state has two (Onitsha and Nnewi). You SW people had better start getting mentally ready for the end of Nigeria because Biafra is an unstoppable train that is moving foward very fast

If Biafra splits tomorrow (and it will) what will be the fate of the leftover called Nigeria if not to follow suit. I don't see the West uniting with the North and ditto for the North. My advice is the Yorubas should begin now to design their flag and national anthemn in readiness for the inevitable D-Day Biafrans will cease to be Nigerians otherwise they will forever be the footstool of the North politically and economically which towers over them in size and strength and clout.

I see tough days ahead for this territory called Nigeria should Biafra go her way. This marriage of incompatible tribes was never meant to be.
Biafra must be actualised because the British did not seek the endorsement of the people before creating the 'cattle market' called Nigeria. I have no doubt in my mind that when Biafra comes, the Yoruba people will be not be able to co-exist with the northerners as one country. That is when the Yorubas will start agitating for Odua republic. Nigeria only works when the Yorubas and their Hausa-Fulani paymasters have the SS/SE people to exploit.

I ever remain a proud Igbo man and Biafran.

I dont blame this clueless Oba Akiolu, I don't think he knows that we Igbos don't 'dobale' for anybody. Ambode has not yet been sworn in and somebody is already talking doing 8 years.
Politics › Re: Why Do Yoruba And Igbo Attack Each Other Online? by zendy: 9:53am On May 10, 2015
tbae:
It makes me scared most times when I come online and read comments people write against each other. The funny thing is, in my immediate environment, these two tribes move on well but online, am amazed at the hate. I sometimes wonder how we can hate each other so much and still shout 'racism' and 'xenophobia' to other countries doing the same to us. During the whole xenophobia saga, I read a post here on nairaland where someone said they should keep killing the igbos in South Africa. This blew my mind and am like 'people like thie exist?'. Please even though we can't love each other, let's tolerate and train our children to be better than we are. #oneNigeria
I'm am as Igbo you can get. Yorubas see Igbos as egotistical, self serving, money loving pratts who have a secret expansionist policy while Igbos see Yorubas as chest beating cowards, who's food preference and attitude to hygiene leaves a lot to be desired and people who have chosen to be a$$ lickers of the North. The two tribes dislike each other but to a large extent, tolerate each other. Nothing really connects "Ofe mmanu" and "Omo Ajaokuta ma mumi". We are as different as night and day. We don't trust each other, and inter tribal marriage is very rare. It is also very rare to find a Yoruba man in Igbo land. The only way for the Yorubas and Igbos to forster a healthy relationship based on mutual respect is for us to have the republics of Oduduwa and Biafra. As long as we are in one country,we will forever be fighting like man and woman in a forced marriage. Nigeria doesn't work s country and it should be divided so we can stop giving each other head ache over the mistake that Lord Lugard made 100 years ago of bringing together people who should not be together

You should add Denmark to the list. I head that before you get Danisg citizenship, the Queen of Denmark has to sign your papers first.

I am Igbo so this has nothing to do with tribalism or jealousy, I am simply stating the truth, I live in the UK and I know how whites who make up 90% of the population think of black people, Umunna may be half white but in their eyes he is not a son of the soil and therefore will never be accepted by them as a leader. Obama was successful in the US because blacks and Hispanics overwhelmingly voted for him and they constitute a sizeable proportion of the US population, UK blacks (who are likely to vote for Umunna in overwhelming numbers) only make up about 3% of the british population so black people in the UK are insignificant as far as politics is concerned here in the UK.

The british labour party are now so desperate to get back into office that they are now clutching at straws, it doesn't matter how much they compare Umunna to Obama it is not going to convince staunch white English racists to vote in a half black british man as their future PM.
You maybe right in your assertion but if you followed the general elections, you would see that Labour needs to come up with a 'Tony Blair' right now after their disastrous outing. Ed Miliband had no charisma. An Obama type effect may just be what Labour needs. It's a gamble but a Blackman being the leader of a major political party like Labour could have an electrifying effect especially amongst younger voters. The so called racists you talk about usually don't vote in election. Personally, my favourite for Labour leader is yevette cooper even though I'm Igbo but I still like Umunna.

Family › Enmanuel Adebayor Exposes Family On Facebook by zendy(op): 7:19am On May 07, 2015
Enmanuel Adebayor took to FB to state his grievance against his family:

I have kept these stories for a long time but I think today it is worth sharing some of them with you. It's true that family matters should be solved internally and not in public but I am doing this so that hopefully all families can learn from what happened in mine. Also keep in mind that none of this is about money.

"At the age of 17, with my first wages as a footballer, I built a house for my family and made sure they are safe. As you all know, I have received the trophy of African Player of the Year in 2008. I also brought my mother on stage with me to thank her for everything. In that same year, I brought her to London for various medical check ups.

"When my daughter was born, we contacted my mum to inform her but she immediately hung up the phone and didn't wanna know hear about it. Reading your recent comments, some people said my family and I should consult T.B Joshua. In 2013, I gave my mother money so she could consult him in Nigeria. She was supposed to stay for 1 week; but 2 days into her stay, I received a call saying she left.

"Apart from all that l also gave my mother a great amount of money to start a business of cookies and different items. Naturally, I allowed them to put my name and picture on them so they can sell more. What else can a son do in his power to support his family?

"A couple years ago, I bought a house in East Lagon (Ghana) for $1.2 million. I found it normal to let my older sister, Yabo Adebayor stay in that house. I also allowed my half brother (Daniel) to stay in the same house. A few months later, I was on vacation and decided to go to that house. At my surprise, I saw many cars in the driveway. In fact, my sister decided to rent out the house without me knowing. She also kicked Daniel out of that house.

"Note that the house had about 15 rooms. When I called her and asked for explanation, she took about 30 minutes to abuse and insult me over the phone. I called my mother to explain the situation and she did the same as my sister. This same sister says I am ungrateful. Ask her about the car she is driving or anything she is selling today?

"My brother Kola Adebayor, has now been in Germany for 25 years. He travelled back home about 4 times, at my expense. I fully cover the cost of his children's education. When I was in Monaco, he came to me and asked for money to start a business. Only God knows how much I gave him. Where is that business today?

"When our brother Peter passed away, I sent Kola a great amount of money so he could fly back home. He never showed up at the burial. And today that same brother (Kola) is telling people that I am involved in Peter's death. How? He is the same brother who went and told inaccurate stories about our family to The Sun in other to take some money. They also sent a letter to my Club when I was in Madrid so I could get fired.

"When I was in Monaco I thought it would be good to have a family of footballers. So I made sure my brother Rotimi gets into a football academy in France. Within a few months; out of 27 players, he stole 21 phones.

"I would not say any anything about my brother Peter Adebayor because he is not here today. May his soul rest in peace.

"My sister Lucia Adebayor keeps telling people that my dad told me to bring her to Europe. But what would be the purpose to bring her to Europe ? Everyone is here for a reason.

"I was in Ghana when I received the news about my brother Peter being seriously ill. I drove the fastest I could to Togo in order to meet him and help. When I arrived, my mother said I could not see him and I should just give the money and she would solve everything. Only God knows how much I gave her that day. People are saying I didn't do anything to save my brother, Peter. Am I a fool to drive 2 hours to Togo for nothing?

"I organised a meeting in 2005 to solve our family issues. When I asked them about their opinion, they said I should build each family member a house and give each of them a monthly wage.

"Today I am still alive and they have already shared all my goods, just in case I die

"For all these reasons, it took very long for me to set up my foundation in Africa. Every time I try to help the people in need, they had to question me and all of them thought it was a bad idea.

"If I am writing this, the main purpose is not to expose my family members. I just want other African families to learn from this. Thank you."

Igbos are very unserious lot. They want to separate from Nigeria, yet they don't want to reave ragos. Bunch of confused souls
Since when did people have to be Nigerian citizens to live and do business in Lagos? Even if Igbos get Biafra tomorrow, they will still be free to live and travel to Lagos without Visa under the ECOWAS free trade and movement agreement. Some people think that the 'ECOWAS' in front of the Nigerian passport is there for decoration.

Buhari can't be blind to see the pictures of the Almajiri underaged voters that returned him to power.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Buhari would have lost this election if it were not for the underage voters that may have been used in the election. It beggars belief that some Northern states had more voters than Lagos. Just how did many northern States, some in Boko haram infested areas, achieve over 90% PVC collection?
Politics › Re: Is This The End Of Boko Haram? - REUTERS by zendy: 8:43am On May 06, 2015
PapiWata:
The Boko Haram terror gang is merely the armed wing of northern Nigeria's Born-to-Rule network, whose abiding duty is to ensure that anarchy reigns whenever a NON-northern president is voted into office. The agenda of making Nigeria "ungovernable" during the regime of Jonathan Goodluck has been implemented with great success, with the result that Jonathan Goodluck has been sent packing from office.

Now that Buhari, the point-man of the Born-to-Rule folks, has been rigged into power as president, using "creative accounting" of Nigeria's voting population figures, the contract assigned to the Boko Haram terror gang has been fulfilled and completed, ensuring once again that those all-important oil drilling leases are renewed ONLY for select members of the northern Nigerian crude oil mafia in 2016, when the leases for the old drilling rights are due to expire.

With the oil fields again under exclusively norther Nigerian control, generous allocations of petroleum export income will be allocated to the leadership of the Boko Haram terror gang, thus essentially keeping them on a permanent "retainer", where their foot soldiers can be re-armed and called into action the instant any southern Nigerian president is again voted into office.

Simultaneously, the justified compenasation paid by the Johathan Goodluck administration to the Niger Delta communities will be stopped the instant Buhari commences his RULE, since the Niger Delta inhabitants will be expected to assume the role of docile conquered and colonized economic slaves, whose interests must take back seat to those of the Boko Haram terror gang so loved by the northern Nigerian crude oil diverting cartel.

This is in essence the "Change" promised to Nigeria. Love it or leave it, y'all.
I couldn't have said it any better myself.
