PoliticsRe: 50 Crushed To Death On Abuja-okene Highway by zibe(m): 9:16pm On Aug 03, 2011
People should actually think before they reply. You think people actually choose to travel by night? Especially with the insecurity? Just try travelling from Enugu to Sokoto or there about and tell me if u won't journey through the night, no matter the time you leave your house. And then, not everyone can afford flight. So I don't blame them. You shouldn't too.

Your anger shouldn't be channelled towards the travellers please. Its a risk they had to take, I guess.

Somehow, I wish all these Boko efforts were targeted towards all those corrupt politicians. It would only take a week to resuscitate the country. Just saying

NYSCRe: Corps Members' Monthly Allowances Has Been Increased. by zibe(m): 5:30am On Jul 12, 2011
Everyone in my camp is happy about the news. Let's wait till the end of the month though. If implemented, its still an improvement. Just hope the cost of living doesn't increase too.
NYSCRe: Guys Posted To Boko Haram States On Nysc - Please Register Here For Network. by zibe(m): 7:06pm On Jul 01, 2011
@joecrack, no its not a joke. Got my call-up letter on wednesday and although mine was Delta state, some of my classmates saw Bornu state on their call-up letters. My two friends both got Sokoto and Gombe. I just pray they'll be safe. They intend redeploying after camp. Hope it works out.
We all thought the north will be scrapped in the deployment of youths, but apparently it wasn't so.

Yet another avenue to loot our money. Smh. And then 9 more universities while the federal universities already in place can't be restructured to world class or something

The only problem i have with the beggars is the way they involve their children in the act. If it was only them begging, it'd probably be ok but no, they have to involve their toddlers. I know this is meant to bring out some compassion from the passers-by but its just wrong. They keep giving birth to more kids despite their condition. So yea, I think they need some form of shelter other than the streets, at least for the sake of those kids.

@racoome, obviously you're voting based on tribalism. Well I won't be doing so.
PoliticsRe: Lagosians: Tell Us Who You Are Voting For As President by zibe(m): 7:50pm On Apr 06, 2011
Bandit C.:
@ Zibe, you are tired of corruption and the best way to go against it is by voting for extremism, backwardness, redundancy, government of vendetta, personification of evil, desperation, dictatorship, militarism and a military man that destroyed Nigeria's young democracy and brought unimaginable hardship on the citizens of Nigeria? I reiterate, you are not an igbo person and if you are, you are a disgrace to the parents that birthed you, yeah I said that. That being said, you people won't even know what hit you when Goodluck wins and you and your cohorts would forever be relegated, on the book of history, as those who didn't wish Nigeria good. I guess you ilks are loving the massacre of Ndigbo up north, right. Chukwu kpo kwa unu ncha oku there, efulefu.
Typical. Because I'm Igbo I should also share your views abi? and if I dont then name calling will solve the issue right? undecided
PoliticsRe: Lagosians: Tell Us Who You Are Voting For As President by zibe(m): 6:47pm On Apr 06, 2011
Bandit C.:
@ Saviola24, you bloody liar and pathetic loser trying to impersonate igbos, you are just making an arse out of yourself. No igbo man or woman, pronounces or writes igbo as "ibo" so you have to try harder. Meanwhile no right thinking igbo person would think of voting the dictator. Hell, most do not even see his relevance in today's Nigeria. If you do not know, Ndigbo really hate ex hausa military rulers with their life, I know that since I am from the capital of the igboland, which is Enugu.
There's no point getting aggressive here na. BTW, I'm Igbo and I'll be voting for BB. i also know many other Igbos that will be doing same. Doesn't mean we're not in our right minds. I'm just tired of the corruption i see everywhere and i wanna advance my youthful age in a better Nigeria.

Apapa - voting for BB

To those saying Igbos in Lagos won't vote him, well think again. I'm igbo and I know others who won't be voting PDP in.

PhonesRe: What Is Your Download Speed On Your Phone? by zibe(m): 4:51pm On Apr 04, 2011
I used to get download speed of 200-250kb/s with 3G both day and night but since 2months or so ago I don't know what went wrong as I can't even download in day time except in the midnight. By then it gets to 150kb/s. I use a Blackberry bold2. Maybe the issue is from mtn. I plan on switching my BIS to airtel soon, heard its better.
CultureRe: Do You Find The Word "nigga" Offensive? by zibe(m): 12:13am On Apr 03, 2011
People saying its not offensive only say it cos they don't really know how the word came about. Its just like someone pointed out before, too much tv or movies make us use words without actually knowing how the word came about and think its cool to use it on just about any one at anytime. I was watching a tv programme on ait one day and a pastor was preaching and used the word "damn" twice at the church (it was a church programme). I kept shaking my head at the level of ignorance.

I take offence at the use of the word. Why must you want to attribute yourself with a word that the whites used to call the slaves while they whipped them to go pick up cotton or while they chased them out of a "whites-only" rest room.
PoliticsRe: Bride Abandons Wedding For Nnpc Test? (PIX) by zibe(m): 12:31pm On Mar 28, 2011
@dell_net, so how should the place look like? A hotel room? Or inside nnpc building. Do you know the number of people that wrote the test or you still doubt people that wrote the test themselves and are saying its true. One of the witnesses said it was in a public school.
TV/MoviesRe: Are Nigerians Pround Of Nollywood Actors & Actresses? by zibe(m): 9:04pm On Mar 26, 2011
I am Igbo, and truth be told, most nollywood films do centre around the Igbo culture, especially when they have to act the village scenes. The soundtrack alone should tell you so. I'm proud of what the actors are doing though, but I'd still like to see films about the different cultures of Nigeria, from the warri people to hausas to edo to every other part of Nigeria, igbos included. Maybe its cos most producers are Igbos sha. So I guess we need more of other people on the scene. Just saying.
ComputersRe: Your Mtn Browsing Experience by zibe(m): 11:33pm On Mar 24, 2011
Lately I've really been wondering what's been going on with MTN. I used to download very well on my BIS plan using MTN but lately the story's been different. I can't even download anything during the day time. I have to wait till midnight, which wasn't so before. Once this one expires I'm thinking of opting for my airtel line. Pls does anyone know how good airtel BIS is? I'm seriously tired of the mtn crap!
PoliticsRe: Presidential Debate on NN24 by zibe(m): 9:59pm On Mar 18, 2011
Never heard of Shekarau till today, and he definitely tried. I hope GEJ has a good reason for not showing up, although I keep wondering what reason that is when he can show up for D-banj's interview and think that he(d-banj) is representing the youths. Clueless people! This can't go on!
PoliticsRe: Mock Presidential Poll: Who Will You Vote For? by zibe(m): 10:46pm On Mar 15, 2011
But then, my vote may not count, but that's the least I can do- vote!
PoliticsRe: Mock Presidential Poll: Who Will You Vote For? by zibe(m): 10:44pm On Mar 15, 2011
If truly no one has been able to associate corruption with Buhari and that he has no tolerance for corruption, then I guess I'm game. With the way Nigeria is now,the first problem to fight is corruption, every other thing will definitely fall into place after that.
PoliticsRe: Mock Presidential Poll: Who Will You Vote For? by zibe(m): 9:50pm On Mar 15, 2011
In as much as I like Jonathan, I really don't see any reason to vote for him, to be objective. The depletion of our treasury alone is something I don't want to see more of. The problem now is, people don't see things objectively, they'd rather stick with someone of their religion or ethnic group even if the ship is capsizing. That said, its obvious that GEJ has reached out to more youths, who obviously make up for most of the population. I didn't actually consider Buhari at first, but I had to do some research of mine, considering that I wasn't born when he ruled before. So the youths, especially those in the rural areas, would rather vote for GEJ, or whom ever their parents tell them to vote for, still GEJ.

Right now my parents believe that voting for GEJ is voting for a change in the south-east, I don't know how true that is, but I'll rather study the three contenders objectively b4 I cast my vote.

Taking advantage of people's death to campaign further for pdp is just plain wrong. Imagine using the opportunity to tell the survivors to keep supporting pdp. Is that what her condolence visit should be about? Smh
