Health / Re: Why Are They Taking Tramadol? by ziga: 11:48am On Feb 03, 2018
Why should you be able to walk in a pharmacy and buy tramadol?

In developed countries, you will need a doctors prescription.

Tramadol, just like Codeine, Vicodin, Morphine are drugs that need to be seriously regulated.

When they stop being effective, people switch to heroin. If you don't believe,, ask the United States of America

Politics / Re: Fulani Herdsmen Planning To Attack Taraba State - Reps Raise Alarm by ziga: 3:29am On Feb 02, 2018
It is sad that people can not see the irony of this situation.

The "Fulani herdsmen" can do what they do because you have reps that can raise alarm.

If all the reps can do is to raise alarm, then I think the people are totally helpless.

Can we simply say that this country is descending into full anarchy.

You all made noise on IPOB as if they were our real problem. What does it take for a government to make a law enforcing cattle ranches? And make facilities like good road network for easy movement of cattle feeds into the ranches? We all know the owners of this cattle are wealthy enough to construct ranches.

To save both the herdsmen and the farmers, this should not be difficult. What is really wrong with blacks for crying out loud.

If they do that, then we will know who the real "Fulani herdsmen" are.

Not the ones with the cattle, but the ones who have replaced their animals with weapons.

Sometimes, emotions prevent us from seeing right.

Nigerians need to open their eyes instead of all their emotional reaction to issues.

A lot of issues are not as simple as they seem.

Another very suspicious organization is the "Fulani Herdsmen"

But Nigerian intelligence organizations are non existent.

Errrr, you see that's the problem. I'm not a religious person, and do not subscribe to any traditional idea of morality, so we can't understand each other, 'cause I believe we don't speak the same "language".

The sex was consensual and the girl is 20. Nobody was harmed or hurt in the process----so, what's immoral about it?

Let me try to break this down to you.

It creates a potential for conflict of interests.

Lets say we are in court, and the defendant claims that she is in a sexual relationship with the Judge. How fair do you think the judgement will be.

He is her Principal and is responsible for her academic assessment. He could have threatened her to have sex with him for marks in class.

Africa is a male dominated environment where women are easily victimized. Especially if the male holds a position of authority over the female.

Let us stop making excuses for bad behavior.

Karma is a B|tch. You may have a daughter one day... I hope she wouldn't be forced to assume the position.

Call a state of emergency and invoke the Nigerian Army? Do something for goodness sake and stop all the news media theories!!!

What do they have to say? Why the silence from the Police. What kind of country is this.

This is Major crime and the Police is basically silent about it.

Why have they been so ineffective in this situation?

Nigerians need to ask the right questions. Instead, we all love to wail and form grammar.

No....we are definitely NOT on the same page. I believe the attackers are militant renegade Fulani killer herdsmen, who should be summarily dealt with and made to pay for their crimes. From your comments, it is easy to see that you believe the attackers are not Fulani, as you were doubtful about their speaking in Fulfude, and you also claimed that the Nigerian Police had not caught them. When the error in your trend of thought was pointed out, you turned round to claim we were on the same page. No sir, we are not! shocked Everyone can read. Yes, the attackers were heard speaking Fulfude and a mix of Hausa. sad Would you have preferred it if they spoke Chinese and Congolese?

And the Nigerian Police Force has been unable to do anything about it, because they are complicit in these attacks. Everyone knows how bloody inefficient the Nigerian Police Force is, within the country. Ask anyone who has had an encounter with them. Please do NOT ever hold the Police up as a standard of diligence, in Nigeria. The Nigerian Army are too busy battling Boko Haram. Well, no one can tell if they have not been compromised too....

We are probably saying the same thing...

There is a big conspiracy behind the "so called" Fulani herdsmen situation. And a lot of people have been compromised. Nobody knows, and in Nigeria, nobody cares. Not the President, Not the Governors, Not the Senate or representatives. Not the Police, Not the Army. At least, they don't care enough to make something happen.

And they have all turned a blind eye for some reason.

Pls stop asking foolish questions.

Why is the president and all his appointees making excuses for the herdsmen?

If they affect Buhari's chances, why is he refusing to tackle this genocide?

Also, before you come up with more unintelligent responses, has Miyetti Allah ever denied being responsible for any of the attacks?

I don't know about the foolish questions you are asking me.

But in school, I learnt to analyze things.

How does Buhari tackle genocide? What are the responsibilities of the Police force.

I know you will tell me that Buhari is preventing them from doing their duties... Lol.

Let me respond to your anticipated response... Has Buhari given the NPF the names of every criminal that they ever caught. Or kidnappers...

How come the herdsmen are so elusive... Who is hindering the Police force.

BTW I only support good governance. And just as Buhari is complicit in letting this action continue. So are the state governors where the violence is happening.

You said; "Today, the name of the reigning group is "Fulani herds men". They are not necessarily Fulani, and they are definitely not herdsmen (where is their herd)." How do you know this? Did you conduct a census, or did you interview the attackers personally one-on-one? If they are not Fulani, maybe they are Efik or Ibibio, right? Most of those attacked within various communities in the middle-belt, have stated clearly in their accounts that their attackers spoke Fulfude and a mixture of Hausa. Is Fulfude taught at secondary school level?

Your response is not surprising...

"Most of those attacked" listened to all the herdsmen speaking fulfude and hausa? Were they talking to each other at once. And were those listening also running from the herdsmen?

It is unfortunate that innocent lives are lost. But what has the Nigerian Police force done about this issue? or the Nigerian Army?

I guess the herdsmen's charms are too strong!!!
Crime / Re: Fulani Herdsmen Kill Adamawa Villagers, Burn Houses (Graphic Photos) by ziga: 3:29pm On Jan 21, 2018
Crooked Politicians will always create some vigilante group to forward their political goals.

In the history of Nigeria, we have had so many of such groups...

Today, the name of the reigning group is "Fulani herds men". They are not necessarily Fulani, and they are definitely not herdsmen (where is their herd).

The aim of these moves is to create distrust among Nigerians. This distrust and division has always existed but the aim is to deepen this distrust.

By doing this, people stop to reason rationally and votes will be based on these sentiments. Similar strategy that is being used by Donald Trump and his party... Only without the violence.

At the end of the day, the people suffer.

The reason why the "Fulani herdsmen" are invincible is because they are a well funded group of mercenaries. To know who is their sponsor, we only need to ask the big question... Who really benefits from all this violence in the next elections.

Secular artist What does that even mean? There are lots of "gospel" artists who have "secular" songs... How do you categorize them?

So because he has sung secular songs, he can't be a Christian?

Do church goers not listen to Dbanj and Wande Coal on weekdays and then offer tithes and sing praises on Sunday?

You can talk about the content of the song he chose to sing... BUT, he is free to sing wherever he chooses or is allowed to sing.

In the same way, parading yourself almost stark_naked in a society that forbids such is just asking for trouble.

The issue of whether it is her right or not to be doing so is only secondary.

You're wrong.

I don't violate anyone who doesn't see things the way I see them.

Rather, I teach commonsense.

Commonsense demands that when you go to Rome, you behave like the Romans.

There's no question about that.

I don't even know why we are arguing over this.

You cannot come to a society that frowns against public nudity and start trying to 'force' them to accept it all because you think you're civilized or more enlightened or more liberalized than the others.

No way. That's nonsense. It doesn't work like that. You have to respect the culture of the society where you find yourself in.

I can still recall that day when I was living in the Northern part of Nigeria and I was teaching a class and a Muslim girl gave a very interesting answer to the question I asked.

With all joy, I reached forward to shake her hand and you can now imagine my embarrassment when she refused to shake the hand I offered.

Ordinary handshake o!

But did I start lecturing or preaching to her on why she should allow me to shake her because in my own opinion there's nothing wrong with that?

No.

I simply respected her religion and continued with my class like nothing happened.

Commonsense.

Great!!!

You respected her decision not to shake your hand. You didn't force her hand into yours! You were her teacher, older but you didn't beat her up. You didn't use your authority over her. Because there is no law in Nigeria that says you have to shake peoples hands or practice other peoples culture or respect other peoples cultures or opinions.

You acted more civilized than you sound right now.

Your statements are so full of contradictions and lack the logic that you are trying to prove.

When in Rome, you live like a Roman. I am Nigerian, just like you. My opinion differs from yours. Just like the opinion of over a hundred million Nigerians that exist. And we owe it to each other to respect each others opinions outside the Nigerian legal system.

Different strokes for different folks.

What you might term a bribe to a police officer to stop him from checking your car registration documents might be seen as a tip to the fuel attendant lady so that she can guarantee that you get direct service next time you come without necessarily staying in the queue and might as well be seen as tithe you give to your pastor so that s/he will pray for you to God for God to give you even more abundant blessing. grin

My point is: whatever you call something is what it is... to you!

Whoever told you violence is barbaric?

According to Aristotle, We make war that we may live in peace.

And according to Al Capone, You can get much farther with a kind word and a gun(violence) than you can with a kind word alone

My point here is that, human beings are intrinsically and inherently stubborn.

Therefore, sometimes, you need a strong tough hand to get people to act right.

If you tell that girl go and sin no more like my reverend father tells me after each confession, two weeks again I'm back at the same spot confessing the same sins to him while expecting the same three holy marys and one our lord's prayer punishment plus the go and sin no more admonishment again...

Yes, we have laws but as we also have commonsense and you don't need any laws to tell you what you should wear or not.

And it is commonsense when you know that you don't have to be advertising yourself like a harlot all in the name of fashion.

Can you try such a rubbish in Saudi Arabia or North Korea or even in Sokoto State or even inside my Catholic Church?

Don't ever abuse your freedom.

If you can't control your slutty nature by dressing seductively in the first place; then don't expect me to control my basic instincts as a man or even go as far as plucking out my eyes just because I want to maintain the status quo.

IT IS NOT JUST POSSIBLE!!!

But rather, I will join hands and beat the living demons out of your senses...

Nonsense! undecided undecided undecided

Different strokes for different folks... If you truly understand the meaning of that statement, you wouldn't have said anymore.

You sound like you are an intelligent young man but you seem confused or maybe just a hypocrite.

There are 2 sides to every coin but you only seem to see the side you are looking from.

There will always be multiple opinions regarding every issue. Not everybody can be Muslim, Christian, Agnostic or Catholic etc

But in your world, it seems you violate everybody who doesn't believe in the same things as you.

One thing I have also seen in life is that the people who preach violence to move their agenda forward are the most cowardly. All human beings are capable of violence... Not just you or the people you support. And you will never know who will pay you back

In the US, there are some people who believe that covering up your body in the name of religion is offensive. If they were given the opportunity, they would attack people who wear hijabs. But the law limits barbaric behavior in those places.

I guess you must have this statement before: "your rights end where mine begin" ?

That's the conflict we face everyday.

For instance, it is your choice to smoke your cigarette; but it is my right to have clean air to breathe.

Now who is going to adjudged right or wrong?

Let the masses decided.

And the masses have decided that it is morally wrong for someone to dress half_naked and be walking about the street.

You can dress all_naked as you want inside your room but once you are in the public, please, don't assault our senses consciously and unconsciously.

Because if you try it eh... sorry will be your name.

Your logic is 2 sided and works against itself.

You think it was right for "the masses" to impose their "rights" to her detriment?

And the fact that we are having a discussion on the issue shows that what you think is generally unacceptable by the so called masses is only your own perspective on the issue.

Live and lets live.

Violence is barbaric. The so called masses can and should not decide what is right or wrong. And that is why we have laws.

And as far as I know, the Nigerian constitution has no law regarding what individuals are allowed to wear in public places.

If it causes it you to sin, pluck the eyes out... just as it was written in the book.

people just love to misquote the bible and twist words to justify their ignorance.

for example - "Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm"

People are beginning to see the hypocrisy in the way we have become enslaved by religion. And they are therefore voicing their opinions.

Nobody has touched any anointed or physically harmed him. And there are laws of the land that protect against abuse. If I remember correctly, one of our Nigerian Pastors had a reporter locked up for months without trial for allegations of libel. He didn't wait for the eternal judgement that he preaches.
