chris4gold: My baby girl is about two weeks and 4 days today, my questions are myself and the mother are in eager to take her to church for dedication, but people kept saying we should wait till 40 days, 1. ist compulsory that we wait for that period? my daughter enjoying sleeping on hand to her cot and bouncer 2. what can we do stop this from happening? 3. is their anything to wash baby tongue? 4. what need to be done so that she can be sleep over night?.

1,why not wait till a month or two.baby's too small to be carrying her around. 2,dont really understand ur question. 3,leave ur baby's tongue,u can start cleaning it with a small towel when she starts taking regular normal food . 4,at 2 weeks,she'l keep waking up till about 4 months,because their tummies are small so they take only little feeds at a time.hunger,wet or soiled diapers will keep waking them.so my dear,dont worry so much,just be strengthened

my dear,dont give flagyl.diarrhea in kids is usually viral.just replace d fluid with ORT.unless u see a dr and he sends u for tests,after d test results,he then prescribes drugs for u.

Am unable to lay my hands on any antibiotics as we are currently not in Naija and pharmacies here refused to sell to me except I get a prescription. Though I travelled with medical insurance from my organization but I really don't know my way around as in going to a hospital etc and am also on a tight work schedule.
Please help with suggestions on home remedies I can use and also non prescription drugs that can stop purging in an 8m+ infant.

diarrhea in infants is usually viral so I wouldn't advice antibiotics just yet.what u need is to replenish d fluid ur baby is losing and ORT,Oral rehydration therapy can help with dt.d satchets are sold in pharmacies.or get a plastic bottle,fill it with two coke bottles of water,add five cubes of sugar and a teaspoon of salt,mix and give d baby like 80mls when she purges,guessing ur baby is 8kg,u give 10 mils x her weight.

veronix: Hello mums in da house. Make una advice me on what to do. My baby is 2 months and 2 weeks. His head is not yet strong and my mum is worried cos he is not carrying his head yet. So she said, I shld not be feeding him always. She wants me to be timing it for him cos he is getting fat and becos of it he is not able to carry his head. Should I be worried that he is not carrying his head yet.
I love my baby so much and moreover he is my first issue.
Please at What month do they start carrying their head?

two months and two weeks is not late.but like wendy suggested,by three months,lie him on his tummy to help with d neck muscles
