This smacks of desperate politicking. Assuming but not conceding to the argument of the appellants, was it raised before now? It is not in the genre of jurisdictional issues that can be raised at any time even before the Supreme Court. A Litigant is not allowed to nibble at his claims. Litigation must have an end. This, surely, is a pre-election matter actionable within a given time that has since lapsed? This would appear to be an ignoble submission calculated to ensure that JEGEDE remains visible in the eye of the electorate between now and the next Gubernatorial election in Ondo State to stand him in better stead to be elected Governor of Ondo State. Notwithstanding, the appeal appears to be a dishonourable course of action to take. Better to have a philanthropic reach-out to the electorate instead.

What is Britain supposed to do about a criminal who jumped bail in the country of his other passport where he is also obliged to be law abiding as is demanded of him as a British citizen. His alleged offence is known to Nigerian criminal law. He is Nigerian. He has not renounced his Nigerian citizenship and returned his Nigerian passport. He is a
Nigerian subject to Nigerian Law. His folks may as well advise Osama bin Laden’s family to sue the American government for killing him on foreign soil - Pakistan. What are his folks afraid of? He will have his day in Court. He is presumed innocent until proved otherwise.

The Head Public and Government Affairs of the organization, Mr Effiong Esumo, stated this in Uyo when he led a delegation of ExxonMobil staff to inspect the facility on Friday.

Mr Esumo said he was delighted that the building and the installed facilities are of world class standard.

"we don't find much issue with the building or facility apart from some few areas that could be addressed as an in-tenant, but overall it is a fantastic facility", he said.

Mr Esumo also said the visit was primarily because the organization has much interest in the building and assured that management of his organization will meet and be briefed on his findings after which they will get back to the Akwa Ibom State Government.

The Commissioner for Ministry of Special Duties, Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh received and conducted the delegation round the facility.

The Special Duties Boss who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Engr. Efiong Efiakedoho applauded ExxonMobil for furthering its interest in the Dakkadda Tower by sending the delegation for facility inspection.

The Commissioner assured that any adaptations and suggestions to the Tower to better its functionality will be implemented, where possible.
