Have they commenced full production in the factory with jobs created or they are still in the process of commencing full production ?

It made headlines last year which many liars said all sorts of things against Okorocha but those people have already eaten their words in shame.

03-04-2017

Imo State Governor , His Excellency Owelle Rochas okorocha OON, ably represented by the Chief of Staff Government House Owerri, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu on Saturday April 1st, 2017 led a delegation of Imo stakeholders to commission and handover to the new operators the resuscitated, and rebranded, Owerre Ebeiri Paper packaging industry in Orlu LGA of Imo State.

In his speech while handing over keys of the company to the new operators skyrun International Group ,Nwosu noted that the development was in keeping with the job job creation and industrialization and employment policy of the Governor during the electioneering campaigns of 2015.

He poured great econiums on the Governor for doing the things which past Governors in the state before him could not think of doing, adding that the latest in the series of Moribund and comatose industries he had bought back from those who bought them from the past administrations resuscitated and given back to the people for productivity of the state and for gainful employment of Imo people.

Nwosu on behalf of the Governor
appreciated some people and group who contributed in one way or the other to make the project a reality as follows; National cordinator/Chief executive officer of Nigeria -china Bussiness Council, Chief Mathew Uwaeke for facilitating the arrangement, Ugoeze Shirley okwudinma for attracting the Skyrun Group, the Owerre ebeiri community for protecting the industry even while moribund for over 37 years ago.

Nwosu noted with great delight the plan of the company to diversify into other areas of production like detergent and cosmetics production, as well as agro based production like palm ,cashew;cassava production and processing among others

He called on the community to give the Skyrun Group all the cooperation they need to succeed, show them the hospitality which Imo State is renowned for ,as well as ensure their maximum safety and protection.

Earlier in his welcome address ,the Hon. commissioner,Ministry of commerce and Industry,Engr chidi Ibe had gone down memory lane to recall that the company went Moribund for over 37 years and was abandoned by previous administrations but that Owelle okorocha in his usual magnanimous way and show of love for his state and it's Masses repurchased and was giving back to the people on the occasion.

He noted that the Chinese partners-skyrun international Group was not new in the State as they are already partnering with the Government on a company at Mbaise which has been brought back to full operation in the manufacturing sector and expressed high optimism that the new partnership will be huge success like the others.

The highpoint of the eventvwas the symbolic handing over Of keydcofctge company to the chairman ,Skyrun international Group,Mr xie shau and the handing over of the chinese Group to the traditional ruler of the community for a good working relationship .Also tape of the re-commisioning of the company was also cut by the Chief of staff assisted by the other dignatries.

If the Imo state government will bring some investors to build a new city like the Kilamba city in Angola a long this area of Owerri.

It has already been done. An area has been mapped out with building designs and land given free to whoever can build to specification. I will look for the video and post here.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Abagworo(m): 2:58pm On Apr 07, 2017
Points he made in the videos

1 All old houses will be refurbished or at worst repainted to give the city a cleaner outlook.

2 Keke will be banned from some major roads following the formal introduction of city taxis and mass transit buses. He said the plan was made with inclusiveness of all the parties involved and the routes to ply was equally a mutual agreement.

3 Some of the new areas in particular the 4th Inland road is being reclaimed for the purpose of giving out the land free to investors that will build according to Government agreed specification. There's an arrangement which allows indigenes to use Mortgage Banks but only on condition that the C of O will be addressed as belonging to the bank until payment is concluded.

GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA DONATES 4 HOSPITALS TO THE ARMY, NAVY, AIRFORCE & POLICE RESPECTIVELY

Governor Rochas Okorocha has handed over four, out of the 27 General Hospitals built by his administration in each of the twenty-seven local governments in the state, to the Army, Navy, Airforce and the Police.

Governor Okorocha explained the development when the Commander of the Nigeria Army Medical Corps, Major-General Abimbola Amosu came to meet with him on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff in connection with the donation of the General Hospital at Umuguma in Owerri West Local Government to the army which is now Army Hospital.

The governor also stated that the Navy had already taken over the hospital at Ngor-Okpala LGA, while the Airforce took over the hospital at Owerri North and the Police Force had earlier taken over the one at Ideato South LGA, adding that the essence of all these, is to make the state the hub for medical services.

The Governor remarked “as you are aware, we have 200-bed hospitals constructed in every Local Government of the state. We are trying to make Imo state health tourist city for the federal Republic of Nigeria. For these hospitals, we have started giving them out. Airforce has taken the one at Owerri North, Army has taken the one at Umuguma in Owerri West, Nigeria Police is taking the one at Ideato South and the Navy has taken the one at Ngor-Okpala”.

He continued “today we are paying host to major-General Amosu who is incharge of the medical Department of the Nigeria Army. She came at the instance of the Chief of Army Staff to inspect one of the new hospitals built by the State Government and donated to the Nigeria Army. We will be building University of Medicine in the state to use most of the remaining hospitals as outreach centres. This is a bigger picture of what we intend to do”.

He stated, “I am very quite impressed in seeing a woman wearing the rank of a Major General. This is not common in our checked history. This is quite exemplary and this defines the reason, the army medical section is doing well”.

His words, “You are in the right place and we are ever ready to partner the army. Before now the army has taken possession of three command schools, one in Orlu, one Okigwe and one in Owerri which the rescue mission government built and donated to them. We are enjoying a good collaboration with the army, and we still think that NDA which is the Army University should be here. We will provide the resources and build it if need be. Imo people are already seeing the wisdom in partnering with the agencies to bring their facilities down here”.

In her speech, General Amosu said, “I am here at the instance of the Chief of Army Staff who got the letter and appreciated the offer of the state government to donate a 200 bed hospital to the Nigeria Army. One thing is clear, that even if the hospital is donated to the Nigeria Army, it will definitely serve not just the military personnel and their families, but the communities around where the facility is located because that is one thing we do with our facilities. The medical care, our schools etc are not just for the military, we use them also as a way of improving our civilian-military relations”.

According to her, “The army is passionate about medical care and that’s why we offer free medical outreach to the public. Just like the one we had in Imo during the Chief of Army Staff Conference hosted in the State. The donation of this hospital will now make it more permanent because the military medical outreach is of high quality. We are satisfied with the hospital having inspected it. We will make it world class and it will key into the plans of the government to make the state a hub for medical outreach in the country”.

In its most recent release, Nigeria Medical Association says Imo State University Teaching Hospital Orlu, is worse than a pigsty under Okorocha govt.

Okorocha is pursuing his private business agenda of owning a private university in his home town, thus heavily rendered his state's university teaching hospital non-viable where it is located in Orlu, some 12 kilometers from his university; and he now tells his state that the university hospital is due to be transferred to the state capital. In business terms, Okorocha is on a quid pro quo business plan to trade the teaching hospital with Owerri for a private university in his home town.

Very good. It should be turned to a piggery to reduce unemployment while a new and befitting one is built elsewhere.

Must most things in Imo state be destroyed under this administration?

There is a distance of about 26 km from Orlu to Owerri.

The population in Owerri is less than 1 million

The population in Orlu is about 1/2 a million.

The University teaching hospital in Orlu functioned optimally for many years when it was established, until locust leaderships took over Imo state.

What sense does it make killing a university hospital which Imo state had invested tens of billions of Naira to build in Imo state, then spend another tens of billions of Naira to build a new one in the same state? Only a lunatic or someone with ulterior motive would do that.

By the way I read you write about a month ago that it was false the rumour about transferring that teaching hospital to Owerri from Orlu. How come you now confirm it as truth?

Look i want where the investor or investors will build a turn key city where people and companies buy into it, allowing individuals to buy land is one thing we don't do well no matter the specification. What i'm talking is a well constructed city with good infrastructures like water, underground electricity, sewage and drainage system, a well planed streets and roads not all the mediocre projects.

Give me an example of such place in Nigeria. The one in Angola you posted earlier known as Kilamba has ended up empty and a monumental financial waste. The types we have in Owerri, PH and Lekki are good enough.

“ A heckler once interrupted Nikita Khrushchev in the middle of a speech in which he was denouncing the crimes of Stalin. “You were a colleague of Stalin’s,” the heckler yelled, “why didn’t you stop him then?” Khrushschev apparently could not see the heckler and barked out, “Who said that?” No hand went up. No one moved a muscle. After a few seconds of tense silence, Khrushchev finally said in a quiet voice, “Now you know why I didn’t stop him.” Instead of just arguing that anyone facing Stalin was afraid, knowing that the slightest sign of rebellion would mean certain death, he had made them feel what it was like to face Stalin—had made them feel the paranoia, the fear of speaking up, the terror of confronting the leader, in this case Khrushchev. The demonstration was visceral and no more argument was necessary.

Sir because you are not well informed about Kilamba may be you read the 2012 BBC report. If it was a monumental financial waste as you put it why are they still expending the projects and still constructing in different part of Angola with the same concept in building mass housing. And again you should understand that Angola is not Nigeria in terms of viability. If the Imo state government want individuals to buy land and develop, first they need to build the necessary world standard infrastructures like good road network, electricity, water, sewage and under ground drainage systems all this has to be in place before the start building and also they have to established a strong monitoring committees that will supervise to last order of specification.

That's what the Imo State Government has done but surely there is no underground sewage and electricity is not state managed. Let us just watch things unfold and I will still display them here. Already there are such estates but very tiny ones scattered across Nigeria but none is like Kilamba. Even Dubai is not like Kilamba. In Owerri Okorocha built Heroes apartments and there exists a lot of other model private estates like Lescourt estate, Arugo garden estate, Graceland estate etc.

Just look at those estates they are with 15th century technology soakaway and open drainage systems and overhead water tanks. If we want to have world class cities we have to do things that conform to world standard this is 21st century we can't continue doing things backwards. Governor Okorocha's Apartheid policy in Imo state has set the state many years backward .
By building more than 90% of roads and other development projects in the state capital alone, he economically empowers only land owners in Owerri who sell a plot of land for millions of Naira.
He impoverishes the greater part of the state. Okorocha's style is not how to govern a state.

Do me I do you, God no go vex.

Ifeanyi Ararume kicked against establishing university in rural Ogboko when the falsehood was floated that IMSU should be relocated to Ogboko.

The present NPC Chairman who is also from Ideato kicked against transferring IMSU to Ogboko.
