Love how Chinese people just laff at Africans who think they are just there to clean up their mess.
They are probably looking for how to benefit from the place and leave the africans in their mess.

Still, its a great industrialization move by Rochas.
Many governors wouldn't even have the sense to hand over to private companies.

Hopeless frustrated old man. Anyone that comes to tell you the truth here is always chino..lol

Imo state is messed. Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe are all listed as the dirtiest places in the world. See link below.

IMO STATE development is stunted as the least developed state in the SE that's why its indigenes are running to other states for greener pasture. 1/3rd of Imolites are resident In Anambra particularly Onitsha but there's no Anambran resident anywhere near Imo state. What does that mean to you?

We always prefer easy way out which leaves us slaves to the races that are ready to work. I lost my cool when some supposedly educated friends were arguing that we should import rice instead of suffering and buying at 16k per bag just to encourage local production. It's just a pity.

Meanwhile work is about to resume on the Egbema power plant project which has been on a pause since 2010. I pray it is completed by Buhari led FG.

Abagworo,

That Paper packaging Industry is along this Old Owerri Road in Orlu.

This road was scrapped, abandoned non-motorable by Okorocha government since 2012.

Perhaps those Chinese shall build the about 6km road, while in the state capital, Okorocha govt asphalts 8 lane streets and puts more money to decorate the top with metal fittings.

All these hospitals and diagnostic centres roaming in and around Owerri, in addition to FMC and Imo Specialist Hospital.

FUTO is about to establish a teaching hospital in Owerri on a huge acres of land between Avu Junction and Obinze.

Yet, last October, Gov. Okorocha set up a committee to explore the possibility of relocating Imo state university teaching hospital from Orlu to Owerri, after four years the teaching hospital was deliberately denied life support.

Does Okorocha ever remember that one day he shall come down from the seat of governor of Imo state, as he intensifies his fight against Orlu lga?

In the same state, these are the urban roads of the second most-populated city of about half a million population in Orlu in the last five years they were scrapped by this govt. Last road is remaining asphalt on the main road in front of the state's University Teaching hospital.

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by mandax: 9:23pm On Apr 03, 2017
Rochas Okoroha, only state governor in Nigeria who bought more than 100 buses, ordered they ply only the roads of the state capital, and the buses have plied only the roads of the state capital since last year they were launched.

The only governor who builds roads where no body lives in the state capital, puts street lights on them, but keeps untarred and dusty the out-of-state-capital roads where thousands of people live on, dusty for many years.

Okorocha who builds state library only in the state capital,

Only governor who thinks water supply project should be only for the state capital.

Who expects Okorocha to change formula? What happens when he leaves office?

LOL. When the fulani man in Imo govt house clears half of the 6 months salaries he is owing his workers, he can then compare himself with Ortom of Benue state. Anambra level is beyond the reach of Okoroawusa.

Seriously, Imo state needs more of these factories, even if it is pure water factories, in order to check the scourge of HIV/AIDS, that is ravaging Imo state due to the ubiquitious hotels and motels that have made the average Imo girl to pursue prostitution as a career.

Anambra has more indigenous prostitutes that engage their trade in advanced cities like Owerri, Abuja and Lagos because of poverty. Civil servants in Imo verifiably earn twice that of their Anambra counterparts and even more in many instances. Remember Chidinma the cucumber girl and mire recently the ones arrested in Ghana.

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by ruggedized1: 9:55am On Apr 04, 2017
As much as I don't like the unwarranted attack by nonsobaba, when we talk of prostitution, it is purely in the DNA of every IMo state girl. You can Bleep an Imo girl in the car, in the office, in the toilet, in the bush, even under the staircase. Genuine and seriousminded Imolites have left their state millions to Lagos, Abuja, Onitsha, Kano, Warri, etc, to earn a decent living. Imo state girls are known to be naturally se.x hawkers. They are equally very cheap to buy. Owerre is a town with little or no economic value. In all the major cities of Nigeria, prostitution is dominated by Imo state girls. It is a well known FACT everywhere. We are happy that Imo state is trying to enact industrialization to stem the tide of high level of commercial se.x hawking in Owerri and environ which is now the biggest income earner for the state though unwholesome. Worse of all is that it is increasingly dangerous to raise a family in Owerre town because of commercial se.x hawking among Imo state girls.

Imo state pays the least in the SE despite the fact that they are owing over 10months arrears at all levels in the state.

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha and four of his aides have been dragged to the National Industrial Court by the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Imo State chapter, for allegedly withholding and slashing of their monthly pensions.

The claimants and three of its officials: Messrs Gideon Ezeji, Livinus Ashiegbu and Fabian Agba want the court to declare unconstitutional, a letter issued to Imo pensioners by the state government slashing their monthly pensions by 60 per cent.

The originating summons filed at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Owerri Judicial Division, marked NICN/OW/144/2017, which contained claims and other facts of the suit was made available to Daily Sun yesterday.

NUP pointed out that section 210(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) states that pensioners in Imo public service, including the second to fourth claimants have right to pension.

The claimants want the court to set aside the
letter/form prepared by Imo government under Okorocha, addressed to the Accountant-General and entitled “Letter of Set off in Respect of my Outstanding Pension Arrears.”

The pensioners demanded the court to make an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants, by themselves, representatives, successors or whatsoever name called from implementing, executing the content of the said letter/form.

Ezeji, the Imo NUP state chairman explained that the union approached the court as the last resort, adding, “we have exhausted all avenues for a peaceful resolution of this matter, yet nothing meaningful came out of our efforts for Okorocha to do the needful.

“The leadership of NUP oppose the slashing of the meagre money we receive as monthly pension because our governor publicly said that there is no economic recession in Imo and his lifestyle and that of his appointees support that position.

“It will be an aberration for the state that is economically buoyant to trick its pensioners into forfeiting their legitimate pension which the state government had refused to review upward for more than 10 years now and so, we want the court to interpret the relevant sections of the constitution,” he said.

Ezeji said hearing on the suit has been fixed for Tuesday April 4, 2017, saying “pensioners will attend the court sitting in Owerri in their numbers next Tuesday in spite the failing health of some members who are now owed about three years pension arrears.”

The 40% of Imo pensioners is more in value than 100% of Anambra because Peter Obi refused to apply minimum wage in Anambra. Anambra pays the least in Nigeria. Go and verify.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by ruggedized1: 11:06am On Apr 04, 2017
You are not only cursed but you are demented.

Now lemme lecture you frustrated old man. Anambra paid 18k minimum wage under Obi and when Obiano came he moved it to about 23k. Anambra pays promptly on the every 25th of every month. Imo state on the other hand pays the least in the SE. Even the least they are paying is not forthcoming as they are owing several months arrears at all level. Imo pensioners have gone to the court, what do make of that? Pensioners are owed, civil servants are owed too. What is Okoroawusa doing with Imo state allocation?

Stop coming online everyday to deceive the public because Imo state civil servants are hurting for the several months of unpaid salaries. And we all know that Imo state is a mere civil service state.

Anambra paid 10k minimum wage but rather than simply make 18k like other States Obiano played pranks by making it 11,500 terming it 15% increase.
