Latest News:

"I WAS ELECTED TO BUILD OWERRI"... Gov. Rochas Okorocha.

Yesterday, Gov. Okorocha Rochas told chieftains of Owerri who paid him a courtesy call that he was elected to build Owerri.

In reply, the Owerri chieftains told Okorocha that Owerri shall accept whoever Okorocha picks to succeed him as governor of Imo state.

It will be recalled that about two months ago, Owerri adopted Okorocha's son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, as an indigene of Owerri.

I don't know the exact area but it's in Owerri and it seems to be a private Westgate this time.

Federal government doles out monthly allocations to the 36 states and 774 lgas of Nigeria.

The money is meant for development of the entire land space of Nigeria.

But in Imo state, in the last seven years, governor Rochas Okorocha seizes these allocations, builds only on the state capital, and the occasional scratches like a drop of water in the ocean, outside the state capital.

Owerri land owners get delighted; dance Atilogwu.

Imo state outside the state capital decays.

Imo state is cursed, even the useless old man called abagworo has accepted this fact. Imo state is now useless and worthless that it has become a family property to the limping one legged failed incompetent Okoroawusa. An Hausa man is ruling the worthless Imo state. Imolites ebezina because APGA is coming, if you lots refuse then Okoroawusa will continue to destroy your state with backwardness, under-development, poverty and insecurity. Okoroawusa has wasted 8yrs with nothing to show except only statues. He has also squandered over 200billion loan with nothing anywhere in Imo state to show for it.

Where is the cursed useless old man called abagworo sef? cheesy

The Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Dr. Anthony J V Obinna, has accused the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, of running for third term in office through his son-in-law.

The cleric said there was no peace in Imo State because of high level injustice and inequity by the state government.

Obinna, who said this while fielding questions from reporters yesterday at Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri, reasoned that “there cannot be true peace in the face of glaring injustice and inequity in Imo State and Nigeria.

“Things are so bad in Imo State that even when any group has police permit to stage a peaceful rally or protest, the government of the day will use coercion and brute force to deny them this fundamental right.”

Answering a question on the Imo Charter of Equity, the cleric said, “Equity is a concept for justice.

“Although it was not my brainchild, since it was fashioned out to engineer peace and justice in the state, I support it.

“Equity demands that the senatorial zones should take their turns on the governorship seat.”

According to the Archbishop, he has “no special hatred for Governor Rochas Okorocha”, adding that “it was most uncharitable for the governor to attempt doing a third term through his son in-law, Uche Nwosu.”

Anambra plans new minimum wage of 50k, while the cursed worthless Imo state is yet to pay it's hungry poor workers half salary of N9,000 that has accumulated to over 10-months arrears. Pensioners in Imo state are owed over 70-months arrears.

Abagworo why is Imo state cursed? cheesy

Anambra to pay new minimum wage in July

Anambra State workers would from July this year begin to earn a new minimum wage.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr. C-Don Adinuba, who announced this during his first post exco press briefing at the Government House, Awka, said that although the minimum wage would have taken off in April, the state had to wait for the Federal Government pronouncement on the issue, so it would not work against the laws of the nation

They already know. Anambra will choose who governs Imo state again like we did in 2011. But this time, we will carry out due diligence to ensure the slave we pick will remain 100% loyal to Anambra state to the very end. We won' make the mistake of having another okoroawusa running loose.

Imo

The moment you and gov. Okorocha understand the difference between Imo state and Owerri, the better for you people.

Okorocha has stepped on the toes of many Imolites with his propagation of the falsehood that a state capital must be more developed by government than any other town in the state.

Owerri is less than 5% of the surface of Imo state for which the federal allocations are meant to develop. What happened to 95% of Imo state abandoned by Okorocha government, but left with only a tiny and occasional flash of infrastructure?

One of the reasons I like Okorocha. He is more advanced in thinking than the opposition sponsoring media attacks against him. He thinks well and acts well ahead of time. He has decongested Owerri greatly by moving of Ekeukwu to Alaba market in Naze and New market at Egbeada Mbaitoli as well as mechanics and auto markets to Avu. Not only that, he has also moved Keke business to those area thereby building new and busy suburbs outside the city for a lot of people to move in. To make movement from city center to those areas easy, he is expanding all the major roads in city center and created dozens of alternative routes and bridges across the river linking 2 sides of Owerri. He is also rebuilding all the small village markets to encoirage rural trading in more convenient environment with solar powered all night lighting.

How much tax do you pay?

How much tax and sundry revenues does Owerri generate to build very expensive and obstructive flyovers in Owerri?

Owerri is eating "Ngwori" from barely-educated state governors who think it is appropriate to use federal allocations meant for development of the 27 lgas of Imo state to build a Mega City in Owerri, while the lgas are denied basis amenities, not even common pipe borne water.

Once growing towns of Okigwe, Orlu and Oguta remain glorified villages - depopulated in the last seven years.

The Major problem with Rochas and his development, is lack of planning.

No detailed plan before embarking on any work.

Rochas travels and sights a piece of structure, once he gets back to Owerri, he assembles his local contractor and demands the monument, feature be replicated in the state.

Now, consider the giant lamppost he is erecting aside the roads. They are so big , their bases take up most of the walk way ( pedestrian walkway)
such that people are having to now walk on the road to evade the post . Essentially , when the sideways are to be properly constructed , the pillar and maybe the post will have to go - another waste of scarce fund by Rochas.

Schools: Rochas undoubted reconstructed a few decent schools in mostly owerri, and build over 100- 300 primary school in electrol ward ( at various stages of abandonment) . Imagine if this was properly planned ?
27 Standard school could have been built. one in each local governement, with exisiting schools, given a decent facelift, paint and ceiling and roofing .

Hospital: Imagine embarking on building 27 General hospitals ? That would have produce one standard western standard hospital. Rebuilt the Univeristy teaching hospital. And the a Nursing college.

Roads: why build 6 lane roads, when many major road within the state , even owerri is still in shambles. makes absolutely no sense.

Ugly monuments- see the Aka chi, a waste of resources. abandoned, becos if was not planned. no after thought of what it would be , how to commercialize it etc.

The only point i will not take away from Rochas, would be the expansion of the state capital, which is simply done by building roads ( very very substandard roads to connect areas of the state . same could have been replicated in the other towns in the state orlu and okigwe to help spurn developement in those areas too.

Imo state needs more enlighten folks - leadership and followers.

No place without pipe borne water is worth the name -
City.

When a governor who understands that water is the first need a leader must provide citizens emerges in Imo state, lots of the unnecessary Boulevards of Rochas Okorocha in Owerri have to be broken to pass pipes. Double cost.

It's believed that Mbakwe govt's water pipes of Owerri Regional Surface Water Supply costing billions of Naira have been uprooted or damaged by Okorocha government.

Everything you wrote is absolute nonsense without any sincerity. The aim is simply to belittle giant achievements which nobody can rival. The road network in Owerri is now the best in Southeast and all major roads are 8 solid lanes not 6 as you wickedly wrote. No other city has that priviledge at least for now. The smart trees which you called pillars is a failed diversionary tactics. Many cities across the world are gradually embracing smart trees which when fully completed and activated will serve several purposes including free wifi, charging of phones, direct communication between city Mayor and the people, street lighting and beautification. Owerri will have the highest concentration of smart trees in the world and it is not a bad record.
