Water works..

Piped Interest

It is amazing the zeal that envelops the Godswill Akpabio led administration in the provision of potable water in the rural communities. A total number of 122 boreholes are ready to be commissioned this year, 2010.

In 2009, twenty two local government councils got 47 boreholes spread across for them as their size and need warrants. In 2008, when the present administration was just one year in office, governor Akpabio commissioned a number of 3 boreholes in Eket, 2 in Etim Ekpo, 1 in Etinan, 2 in Ibiono Ibom, 1 each in Ikono, Ikot Abasi, Ikot Ekpene, Ini, Mbo, Nsit Atai, Nsit Ubium, Onna,Oruk Annam, Uran, Urue Offong, Oruko, while Okobo got 3, Mkpat Enin 2, and Uyo 2 to a total of 28 boreholes.

The water project complete with standby generator donated by Chief Akanimo Udofia, a United States based philanthropist, to Afaha Offiong community in Nsit Ibom

cjrane: Fashola is a shameless noise maker. Like his average native Yoruba person. It is an insult to compare him to Akpabio that have been developing his state without any help from the Federal Government nor heavily taxing non-indigenes unfairly, only to deport them after using their tax money.

If the Federal Government of Nigeria had not built Lagos as Nigeria's Federal capital territory and in the process creating our present economic problems by the mindless spending of all our money earned in the oil boom days on Lagos infrastructure, instead of building sustainable industries around the country to help Nigeria develop in a balanced way . Lagos would have been far less developed than Ado Ekiti in spite of Fashola's noise making.

Let me ask you about the infrastructure the federal goverment built in lagos and the state of such infrastructures today. You seems to have forgotten that the ffederal capital moved away from lagos more than 25 years ago and that all this has nothing to do with the economic growth of lagos to what it is today.
Just small verifiable figures for you. In 1999, the entire budget of Lagos was 1 billion and the monthly IGR was 650 million. Today the budget of Lagos is more than 492 billion with a monthly IGR of more than 21 billion. So let me ask you how do you think this economic growth took place? More than 85 percent of lagos IGR derives from corporate capital tax and PAYE, so you were just being emotional when you stated that Lagos heavily tax non-indigene.

karl max: don't mind them. Na the ppp road that was poorly renovated by lcc ...the lekki-epe expreSs road that has not been completed since 7years now and yet were paying toll for it as work is going on...

The fact that you can even capture all the roads just built in akwa ibom in a few snaps tells me that the guy has not done much. FASHOLA has built hundreds of roads , renovated hundreds on a yearly basis.
How many roads are you paying toll for aside from the lekki road?
Re: The Fashola Vs Akpabio Thread. by agbameta: 3:02pm On Sep 14, 2013
Well, that concludes Akwa Ibom's part of the thread.

I'll now start with Fashola from Lagos State.

it clearly states projects, if everyone start posting irrelevant pictures of villages in Akwa Ibom, will the thread make any sense. SHOULD WE START PASTING PICS OF VILLAGES IN AKWA IBOM? I hope you will be here when pics of fasholas projects start coming in

am not the one complaining you are.

Since the APC/ACN lapdogs have collaborated with their minion moderator OAMJ4 to block/hide my pictures of fashola achievements / negligence of duties they have decided that this will be a one sided comparison before i leave the thread, Akpabios transformation in AKS is not hidden but well doucumented if u are interested in his real transformation of AKS and not this APC propaganda visit https://www.nairaland.com/1256550/uyo-city-peace-beauty-pictures

Please, stop ascribing FG roads and flyovers to Fashola. That he chased away Agberos to plant flowers under the bridge doesn't mean he built the road.

What's wrong with private sector investment? As far they are in conjunction, why must it not be included?

Lagos Sends 300 People With Kidney Problems Abroad For Treatment

Lagos — About 300 people with kidney related problems were sent abroad for treatment by the Lagos State government in the past one year. Governor Babatunde Fashola disclosed this when he received a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) yesterday.

According to Fashola, the 300 beneficiaries were referred to hospitals in England, US and India due to lack of necessary facilities for the surgery in Nigeria. The governor also reiterated the commitment of the state government to develop the Gbagada General Hospital's Intensive Care Unit for kidney transplant and dialysis. He said the project would be executed in the first quarter of 2011.

"We are already recruiting staff and consultants, who will manage the facilities at the hospital," he added.
