Joshthefirst: sorry sir. But I got to think about this before and I was surprised too. From a book claimed to be written by God, I would expect tides of goody goody and good good stuff. But the bible is the contrary. It tells the true story that pricks mens hearts. It tells history undiluted. It speaks of suffering and death and sin and the judgement of sin and mankinds perversions. It tells of God coming to judge. But it also speaks of a saviour, of Gods plan to remedy it all through the ages, and of Gods promise of a new world to the faithful people who continue in righteousness and in christ jesus. like that of jonah and the fish. |

rationalmind:we learn a great lesson from jonah and the ninevites. The ninevites were ungodly and wallowing in sin and wickedness. God was ready to judge. But he sent jonah to preach. When jonah preached, the people repented and God forgave. God is able to forgive all who trust in him and repent of their sins. Repent now and stop looking for excuses to wallow in sin. |

Joshthefirst: we learn a great lesson from jonah and the ninevites. I learnt a great lesson from the fish swallowing jonah and vomiting him after three days. And I just learnt a great lesson from you today. Its unadulterated history. |

plaetton: "Ten thousand dead in the Philippines is proof that there's no God!" says the skeptic. No. Rather, the terrible tragedy is proof that the "Fall" of Genesis is true. Every day more than 150,000 people die, and every single death substantiates the truth of the Scriptures--that man is in rebellion to God. Someone recently said that he and his wife watched a movie that made no sense. It was only when it ended that they discovered they had only watched the second disc. They missed the entire first half of the movie, and so it suddenly made sense as to why the movie made no sense. Disregard "In the beginning," and nothing in this life will make sense. Ignore "Let there be light" and you will be left in the darkness about your origins and the reality of suffering and death. For further details watch www.evolutionVsGod.com 1 Like |

Either God can do nothing to stop catastrophes like this, or he doesn’t care to, or he doesn’t exist. God is either impotent, evil or imaginary. Take your pick, and choose wisely. http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/cruelty/long.html |

OLAADEGBU:? God loves humans, wants to be in a relationshp with them yet all he can do is kill 150,000 of them daily?. . . . Someone recently said that he and his wife watched a movie that made no sense. It was only when it ended that they discovered they had only watched the second disc. They missed the entire first half of the movie, and so it suddenly made sense as to why the movie made no sense. Your god is perfect but he created an imperfect system filled with death and destruction, eh?. . .I am putting it to you that you are much better than your imaginary god because if you have the ability to stop the storm that raged the Philippines, you would have stopped it. . .All these silly excuse to protec your imaginary god is pathetic. . . 1 Like |

That is judgement right there, I don't know why you stiff-necked heathens can't understand/see it....Well, it's delusion; you guys are deluded for judgement as recompenses for rejecting the WORD, that is why you fear when you hear about judgement Repent now because una turn dey come soon Looking for a reason to blame your creator? Manfromuranus: Matthew 7:21-23 King James Version (KJV) 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. |

Dear op... If you don't repent and give your life to GOD, you yourself will experience more punishment than that of these victims. |

doubleDx: And then what is the point of accepting jesus if at the end, you are swept away by storm like everyone else. I might as well play lottery and cast my lot with ancestral gods, or even Hindu gods, or even allah. Christian god takes 10% of my income and bails out when it's time to perform his obligations. Sounds like Nigerian insurance companies. 4 Likes |

Zombie, Why don't you trade your life and the lives of your family for the fate of those deceased. Why don't you do it now? That would be the ultimate Christ-like sacrifice. Would it not? One day, Your god will surely also punish you with horrible death. 2 Likes |

Manfromuranus: Who says "tithe" is a prerequisite for "righteousness" ? Only new generation Churches do that.... I'm not a Church goer BTW! It's no gambling; the King of Kings knows his sheep and his sheep knows him! John 10:14 King James Version (KJV) I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.<<<<<<<He knows when you LOVE and trust in him that delusion and disbelief would never come nigh thee |

Joshthefirst: I only repeat the same answers because you repeat the same questions. Stop talking nonsense. . .Natural disasters have been a part of this planet since inception. . .We now get to hear about natural disasters that happen all over the world because of technology. . .During the time of Jesus christ such news would not have been heard at all all over the world. . .If you know anything about the planet you will know that natural disasters are an integral part of the planet and have been in occurrence since inception . Natural disasters have nothing to do with god and they have nothing to do with sin and they also have nothing to do with the end of the planet. . .An asteroid can hit the planet and end all life today, it has nothing to do with your imaginary god's judgement. . . 1 Like |

I think it was better in the good old days when christians answered these kind of questions with lines like, 'I really don't know why God allowed these to happen but our hearts and prayers goes to the victims' Not Josh and Ajibam coming here to talk rubbish that this is judgement. You brood of vipers are so insensitive to other people's predicament, I hope you or your family never experience such. Hypocrites Judgement my ass 1 Like |

I didn't say the earthquakes are judgement btw. I said they are a sign. Its because of the bolded that satan has used peoples ignorance to pull them away from the faith. You and plaetton are the shameless and insensitive ones. Using disaster to spread godlessness and encourage sin. |
