Because you have an Eze in Lagos and Ogun, means the states are part of Igboland? The population of Ilorin is mostly Yoruba Yorubas never lost Ilorin because they've always lived there and still do The governors have always been Yoruba so the city is politically and culturally Yoruba Besides how does the ownership of Ilorin concern you? Now my question, will Igbos ever reclaim the SE from the Erosion goddess 28 Likes |

The answer is simply NO. Ilorin is one major reason the Yoruba seems to be hanging on to one Nigeria and always discouraging other southerners with all sorts of under hand argument/ tactics. What happens to Ilorin if or when one Nigeria comes to it's final chapter? Through Junaid Mohamed, the north has made it clear that Ilorin stays with them. 15 Likes |

Flat heads, why the obsession with ilorin? Okay, Ilorin was built by Landerin, afonja's great grand father, and it fell when afonja was killed, not long after his rebellion against alaafin aole. But saying Ilorin is under fulani occupation is utterly disingenious, its just like saying Lagos is under benin occupation just because the royal stool of Lagos has historical ties with the benin monarchy. 4 Likes |

Kwara state which has ilorin as its capital occupies 36,825kilometersquare(14,218squaremiles), A size thrice as large as the entire iboland put together. Kwara state is a cosmopolitan state with yorubas as the primary ethnic group and a significant number of Nupe and Bariba minorities. Ilorin is in the firm grip of the Yoruba's and the presence of the fulani's is incosequential except in the religious and monarchical circles 4 Likes |

They will rather turn the whole of southern Nigeria into another Kwara than confront their colonisers at Ilorin. Witness how some posters above are trying to spin themselves dizzy, making it look like a simple issue. Kwara is an insult cowardly accepted, a diisgrace willfully ignored, a century old sore still festering. Maybe the whole southern Nigeria should contribute troops to free kwara otherwise the fear of the fulani will always force our SW brothers into all sorts of unholy alliances with far reaching implications for every southern group. 13 Likes |

These Igbos are irredeemably da.ft. So becuase the ilorin monarch assumes a fulani nomenclature automatically means the entire kwara state is under fulani control? The Governor, Deputy governor, Senatotrs, Legislators, Local government chairmen, and Ward councillors are all Yorubas. So where is the fulani subjugation coming from? 6 Likes |

The Emir is more yoruba than fulani, infact it has been that way for a long time but our friends from the east do not know this. Ilorin is a yoruba town and the state is led by a yoruba man. 3 Likes |
