tomakint: Mr, you cannot quote Sub-Section 68(1)(a)-(h) without quoting Sub-Section 68(2) which gives action/power to 68(1)(a)-(h); 68(2) The President of the Senate or the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as the case may be, shall give effect to the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, so however that the President of the Senate or the Speaker of the House of Representatives or a member shall first present evidence satisfactory to the House concerned that any of the provisions of that subsection has become applicable in respect of that member. Now according to 68(2), it is NOT you, me, the police, the President that has the constitutional power to give effect to subsection 68(1), it is the SPEAKER (in the case of HOA) that has the constitutional right to give effect provided there is a SATISFACTORY EVIDENCE. subsection 68(1) is not automatic. The constitution is clear. 8 Likes |

There is only one logical explanation. The president was having his 57th birthday party inside the NASS complex and the police and DSS was posted there to prevent those without invitation cards from gaining access to the party and collecting a gold iPhone 6 souvenir pack... Rubbish! Please call a spade a spade jare and stop trying to feed us illogical explanations 1 Like |

Good work by our ever vigilant police FORCE. i can see all the thugs (about 20 of them), all well dressed. Some of them even in ties others in the african 3 piece suit white for that matter. Most importantly, none of them with any weapon, none of them seem to be interested in damaging our dear govt. properties. We should all learn to condemn illegalities when we see one. what goes around comes around. most of us have nothing to gain from our blind support apart from getting our ego polished. I might vote GEJ (though i am on the verge of making up my mind against him), but this is so wrong. 4 Likes 1 Share |

If going by the second pix, cos I counted d number of people escorting him and I counted 35, if 35 people escorting aminu tambuwa is what the police called a crowd, then I av a big pity 4 d nigerian police and d pdp .......cos 35 people escorting d speaker into d complex @ a time like dis is not a biggie and its not something new in d entourage of politicians in Nigeria. Btw GEJ himself always travels with times 10 of that, anytime anyday. Kai, GEJ is mis-using is power o 2 Likes |
