Well, it depends on the part of the country u reside. Come to the north and u will hear the Islamic clerics saying that it is a SUNNAH to vote for buhari (a muslim). U will hear them even saying that a true Muslim should not vote GEJ... My brother, suffice it to say that our Islamic clerics do it more than the pastors but the latter enjoys more publicity than the former.
