He said, “No country equips its military overnight . Armed forces are built over the years because even if you spend $10bn today, you cannot equip the Air Force, the Navy and the Army. They refused to build their capacity, they instigated crisis and now they are telling you they can fight insecurity. “They said the military is corrupt. When this insecurity started, we had nothing so to tackle it very quickly, we used vendors to get equipment. But now, we are doing government to government arrangement and so there is nothing like corruption anymore. Is that not the way to fight corruption? You must prevent people from touching public money.” Jonathan said since his generation had failed Nigeria, it was important for the youths to vote for those who would invest in their future. He said it was his dream for the next generation of Nigerians to fly to the moon. He said, “Those of my age and above are finished; we are gone. That is why I am addressing those of you that are voting for the first time. We believe it is you that will take us to the moon. My generation has failed, we couldn’t take Nigeria to the moon. “Look at what India is doing? I said for us to get to the moon, our first class graduates should be sent to the best 25 universities in the world for postgraduate studies. “ So you must vote wisely. They will build prisons for you but I will build universities for you. I will build primary schools and secondary schools .” He said the APC was not on a mission to fight corruption but to jail their enemies. He, therefore, urged Nigerians not to vote for the party. Jonathan laughed at the reported endorsement of Buhari by the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta. He said it was unfortunate that the group which was responsible for killing Nigerians on October 1, 2010 was the one identifying with the APC. He also alleged that MEND jailed leader, Henry Okah, was paid to kill him in 2010. Earlier, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, said the alleged missing money from the treasury was a propaganda tool created by the APC. Akpabio said, “We (governors) were the ones that told Mr. President that we should share the 55bn. We said we could not be saving while our people are hungry. Will you be saving when your child is in the hospital? “If your child dies, wouldn’t you be a fool? The money was shared by the three tiers of government so no money is missing.” He did not say if the money was in naira or dollars. 55 Likes 4 Shares |

All the things said by Jonathan and highlighted by the OP are not going to help Jonathan. They are only going to help Buhari in this election. The more Jonathan opens his mouth, the more he sounds like he is either campaigning against himself or campaigning for Buhari. How can Jonathan campaign against Buhari for sending people to prison of 300 years for corruption and expect Nigerians to fault Buhari and vote for Jonathan instead? Jonathan is in a hole and he keeps digging himself deeper in a hole. 262 Likes 16 Shares |

OH my gUSh, look at that but...in Niki minaj's voice. What a punch! Now GEJ is up for it. And I'm all fired up. I can't wait for the debate ooo. Someone is gonna sweat. Thanks Firefire for tagging me to this wonderful punch line. Umaru Dikko was kidnapped from Britain in a crate by Buhari for those who don't understand. They were discovered at Gatwick airport! 41 Likes 2 Shares |

This Jonathan is just too intelligent for average Nigerians whose past and future was bastardized by people like Buhari and his old cargoes of military numbnuts. But just because of his humility and his hunger to follow the rule of law they labelled him clueless, now that the chips are down the C-IN-C has spoken let APC say theirs without their usual negative rhetorics filled with insults and name calling. 96 Likes 7 Shares |

I love your list but why did you intentionally omitted Tinubu, Fashola, Amaechi, Atiku, OBJ, even your Buhari out of the lists or are they saints? That shows you too are corrupt. You see your life? Simple list you don dey do mago mago and you are blaming some sets and leaving your friends out. Its GEJ till Buhari respect women. 154 Likes 10 Shares |

Buhari thought he can fight corruption that his way not remembering the three arms of govt are watchdog to themselves. It is very easy to create new States in Nigeria in absolute power(dictator) than a decentralized govt, same is applicable to corruption. Am not actually in support of corrupt govt but Buhari never outline his convincing road map in his intending fight against corruption because that his old way can't work under democratic dispensation unless he is planning to take us back to military absolutism. 48 Likes 4 Shares |

lacasa:After then you'll have different sets of thieves replacing them and they become smarter. Listen to the man - He said the only way to fight corruption is by building INSTITUTIONS AND NOT BY MAKING STRONG MEN ,WHAT IF THE MAN CHAMPIONING THE ANTI-CORRUPTION MOVEMENT IS COMPROMISED? A nation should build more of an institutions and not strong men as men are likely to fail but institutions are run by people with different ideology with a system that checkmates excesses. A man fighting corruption can be assassinated - institutions with the right system can never be totally hijacked by some few corrupt men. 72 Likes 9 Shares |

gunuvi: Show me a case on tinubu? Fashola? Atiku? And obj?. Nobody is perfect, not even the American president is perfect, but wat is done is to bring Corruption to the bearset minimum. That's wat good govts do, not promotee and protect thieves and giving them national honors. 2ndly, Corruption is the No 1 problem in this country. Insecurity being joint 1st or a close second. So any Nigerian president that doesn't list the 2 as his 1st point of action as President, is not worth a vote. ThankGod Buhari has a reputation for facing both in his records. On the other hand GEJ loves anyone who is either Corrupt, terrorist sponsor or militant. And He doesn't deserve to be a local govt councillor wt that not to even go as far as president for 2nd term. #GMB the wise choice! 84 Likes 2 Shares |

We all know Jonathan endorses corruption that is why he would come out on national TV and say that stealing is NOT corruption! Just like the clueless president told us a few years ago when bombs started blowing off in the north that we should not worry that terrorism happens everywhere - maybe it is our turn! And yet some mother fvckers cannot see what a clueless and weak president he is. After 6 years, how many corrupt officials have fallen? Yea... none! Oloshi Ijaw man! 94 Likes 1 Share |

The born to Rule disease will be cured finally on February 14. Nigeria is 54 years old. Civilians = 1960 - 1965 = 5 yrs Military = 1966 - 1979 = 13 yrs Civilian = 1979 - 1983 = 4 yrs Military = 1984 - 1999 = 16 yrs Military Civilian = 1999 - 2007 = 8 yrs Civilian = 2008 to date = 8 years. TOTAL Military-Ironsi, Gowon, Murtala, OBJ, Buhari, IBB, Abacha, Abubarkar = 29 years Civilian-Balewa, Shagari, Shonekan, UMYA, GEJ = 17 years Military Civilian-OBJ = 8 years So who do you hold responsible for the rot called Nigeria? Now you want to vote for another Military Civilian. Don't you think we should keep away from those whose institution and background principally contributed to our rot today? I respect the Nigerian military but I sincerely believe that they have caused us more harm than good. Your Buhari has been in this same army since 1962. 61 Likes 9 Shares |

The same stupid 1999 constitution exploited by his people to get away, the same corrupt judges who accept bribe to adjourn cases indefinitely are the ones that will be here. And by the way, is it the same Buhari that told us his cert is with the military board and later said it was stolen that will fight corruption? The lies are falling apart by your own actions inadvertently. 20 Likes 1 Share |

Buhari say e fight corruption, so why is there still corruption? . According to transparency international, under Abacha with buhari as PTF head, Nigeria was in the top 3 most corrupt country in the world! Under obasanjo Nigeria was constantly ranking 1st and 2nd... Under Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria is ranked 33rd and still reducing!!! Whatever Jonathan is doing is working very very fine. Once again we all see the difference between a graduate and an illiterate. While a graduate is building schools to educate us, the illiterate is building prisons... While a graduate is saying NO to Godfatherism (ask Obasanjo), the illiterate surrounds himself with them... While a graduate believes women have a place in the society, the illiterate believes a woman's place is in the kitchen... While a graduate is reviving our railways, the illiterate would cancel them as he did 30 years ago... While a graduate would build infrastructures and create enabling environment for the youths to succeed (SUREP), the illiterate would save the money in a bank and be giving his Almajiri slaves 1 meal a day and 5000 Naira monthly... While a graduate believes the youths are the future of tomorrow, an illiterate at 73 years with grandchildren still feels it's his time... Buhari go and rest oooooo, you rule my papa u wan still rule me... TUFIA , God nor go allow am. I refuse to be a Slave. I am not in Egypt and you are not Pharoah!!! I refuse to be ruled by an illiterate 92 Likes 13 Shares |
