It is nonsense and utmost disrespect to the Sudanese people! If they want him at The Hague for war crimes, let the West use its attack dogs NATO to do the job and not set African brothers against themselves!

Can't be done.South Africa cannot hand over Bashir.
The repercussions would be felt all over.
Bashir committed war crimes, but it would be left for a subsequent Sudanese govt to repatriate him or not, not to a foreign govt he was allowed to set foot on.Its like kidnapping a foreign president,it's not done.

My comment of the day .. You have a good brain on your neck sir

Africa (nigeria) and their blind mentality of forgiveness. No wonder the continent is going down while the west continues to grow in prosperity. Until we begin to reward goodness and punish 'wrongness' in nigeria, we may never experience anything good as a nation.

In as much as I am not a fan of Al Bashir, if Nethanyahu, George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, etc are exempt from being Charged with war crimes, then no African person should also be charged with same.

No animals are more equal than others.

The west will never mind their business. Have they arrested the god of war called Bush whose actions and so called war on terror led to the death of millions in the middle east? One of the reasons why buhari should cut ties with them and create ties with Russia, Venezuela, North Korea and China.

Whats their goddamn business. Am not saying omar is a saint but why do africans always betray themselves and play a bootlicker to the west. APATHAID MENTALITY

u people will never stop blaming west for your woes. AS A BLACK MAN, IM PROUD OF SOUTH AFRICA FOR MAKING SUCH MOVE; THIS SHOWS THAT THEIR JUDICIARY IS MORE INDEPENDENT AND THAT THE COUNTRY IS NOT PART OF CORRUPT AFRICAN LEADERS CONSPIRACY.
I thought Bashir is wise. He ought to know SA is too advanced unlike other poor African country that give him red carper/state welcome with his genocide tag.

The message is very clear and like hope for many African countries that want to follow civilized footpath..... The last dictator in Europe was executed with his wife same day, same spot.
Name one Africa leader that has ever been questioned, arrested or executed by the Judiciary power? = non.

Africa should walk out of the ICC en mass. If that court was fair George Bush should have been arrested for destroying entire continent in the guise of war on terror.

Yes,Dubya and his lapdog Tony Blair need a leash on them asap 1st.The sins of the west and their wholesale slaughter of certain populations pale in comparison with Africans own mini bloodfests.
Re: Sudan president detained in South Africa pending court order by Nobody: 3:42pm On Jun 14, 2015
SA actually did the needful in detaining the Sudanese President as a big player in Africa in tackling corruption besides being a signatory to the Rome treaty establishing ICC they has the right to do so.
Perhaps, Nigeria lost the opportunity to put themselves on the map as people who are serious about fighting corruption and, shunning leaders with questionable characters when they fail to detain Al Bashir some time when he visited the country despite having a warrant of arrest on his head and despite the fact that Nigeria was also a signatory to the Rome Treaty. Let him face his sins as a war crime criminal.
