Plug your connected device - i presume you mean something like Hard drive, USB flash.

Click start - Right click computer

Click Manage - (A window pops open)

Click on computer management -

Check if your drive is on the right hand side of the open window

I checked there but it wasn't showing,however wen I checked device status d msg is "This device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (code 31)..

Great! Now restart your computer - with the external device plugged in.

(But hang on - What kind of external device is having problem? a USB or what exactly).

As a Windows 8 and above user, do I really need to install an anti virus or is the (frequently updated) Windows defender enough protection from malware and viruses? If I need an anti virus which do you guys recommend though I have a bias for ESET. Thanks.

AVG Internet Security 2014 is EPIC. You should install it. I use this and its amazing.

RichardSheddy: Please my laptop is giving me stress.
each time I am playing music/video, its sound production is good for some minutes, but will later not produce sound again while the volume is at the maximum.

keep pressing f8 for
advanced options
select disable automatic
restart on system failure then
see if there will be a blue screen irq error
make a note of it and let us know

You CAN NOT use more than one antivirus on one computer . Because one will see the other as a virus .

Your answer is NO: u might need to tighten your system more . Install a proper antivirus please

Use "hidemyass.com". This will get you through . But it might be illegal in UAE . Use at your own risk .

Right click - the uninstall.
Restart your system .
And let see what happens.

No Antivirus is 100% full-prove. The only one who can secure your Laptop is YOU. In my opinion the Windows defender is OK as long as you are updating it. I use it and have never had any case of Virus infection. Please be careful how you use your PC, an antivirus will only warn you and also remove Virus according to a Signature that has been downloaded during an update.

Firstly ,i think you should update your Display driver - that would be the cause of your Full screen game minimizing unnecessarily.

Secondly, for your sleep problem - i will advice you disable sleep - i think its useless.(too much problems). Anyways to solve this sleep problem, please remove your power cord from the computer and your battery. disconnect everything connected like USB, Phones etc. Then hold down your power botton for 20 secs.
Now put back the battery and hold down the power button for another 20 secs. After then , use your Computer as normal. Your issue should be solved! Post back if the problem persist.
