arresa: Sadly for you, Lagos has been penciled down as Arewa land. Your claim of ownership on Lagos expires the minute the Better South pulls out. The Amir of Kano must have hinted you on their proposed future claims to Lagos. 7 Likes 1 Share |

arresa: What a hilarious comedy! Okay, seeing that you know the 'real truth', why then are you and your Yoruba folks bitter and pained that Igbos and Easterners seek self-determination? 9 Likes |

90xtr93r: ****They're in Lagos for the same reason Lagos and the SW at large attracts the highest FDI in the entire country and is home to the largest market in West Africa. They're in Lagos because it is a land of opportunities. So far this year, Germany (the powerhouse of Europe)has attracted billions in FDI from American, British, French and Chinese investors. Why? Because the economy is robust enough to attract that level of attention. It's the same reason the Indians, Lebanese, Americans and Italians you mentioned are stuck on Yorubaland like hand and glove, coz that's the only place worth investing in. Even Igbos would rather invest in Ogun state and Lagos than the SE. It's the same reason the Chinese are aslo investing billions in FDI in God's own country today. It's not our fault that igboland is treated like a leper by your own people, so much so that your leaders have to shout at the top of their lungs that you people should 'invest at home', yet una no gree. No be Yoruba people fault. 25 Likes 1 Share |

90xtr93r: Poor understanding of your own history. 1. Awolowo and Yoruba people did not want Nigeria, but ZIK, iboman colluded with Hausa people to form Nigeria just to be made figurehead president. 2. Nigeria was operating under regional system of government with the 3 major regions controlling their resources and managing their own affairs, but another ibo man called Aguiyi-Ironsi abolished regional system of government and joined everybody together by moving power to the center, that single move by that iboman is responsible for our problems today. This is why we laugh when you losers cry about resource control. Your own ibo brother took that away. Learn your own history before posting rubbish on the internet.. 31 Likes 2 Shares |

FlyoruB: **** THE BEST INDUSTRIAL CLUSTER IN NIGERIA "Nnewi people have already blaze the trail in the area of building the nation's economy through individual efforts, I have gone round to see the factories in the town and I can say with all sense of responsibilities that this is the best industrial cluster in Nigeria. People from other areas should come to Nnewi to learn how the industrialists here are doing it." - General Abdulsalam Abubakar, August 19, 2016 https://www.nairaland.com/3300590/abdulsalam-abubakar-preaches-one-nigeria-in-nnewi "For Lagos State, more than 70% of the manufacturing concerns and major industries in the State are owned by the Igbos. If the Igbos were to stop paying tax in Lagos State, the IGR of Lagos State will reduce by over 60%. In contrast, Sir, go to the South East and look at the manufacturing concerns in Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi. Please don't forget those were areas ravaged by civil war a mere forty something years ago. The Igbos have certainly made tremendous progress but the Yoruba nation has regressed. I wish to state that this letter is not meant to whip up primordial considerations or ethnic sentiments but just to put things in proper perspective." - Maj. InyinyaAgbaOku: Like seriously?? Yorubas can move in droves to any part of YORUBALAND, including Lagos, without hinderance. It's in their natural and immediate environment -- always was and will always be! That's like asking why are there Imo state indigenes trading and living in Anambra state or Abia and vice-versa. Lagos is Yorubaland, duh! It's the same reason Lagos is part of the SW and not the SE. Comprende?? 13 Likes |

arresa: **** AGUIYI IRONSI DID NOT DISSOLVE THE REGIONAL GOVERNMENTS OR RESOURCE CONTROL; GOWON WITH THE COLLUSION OF AWOLOWO DID! Gowon created the first 12 States after the dissolution of the 4 Regions. Gowon did the damage by creating States to checkmate the Igbos. However a few months afterwards, an Igboman Emeka Ojukwu spearheaded the Aburi agreement in which fiscal federalism and even confederation was adopted, but the other Nigerian, including Awolowo and Enahoro kicked against it. That is why fiscal federalism has not been experienced in this nation since then. In 1972 Gowon with the support of Awolowo enacted and enforced the Indigenization decree which led to the collapse of the Nigerian economy. To add insult to the festering injury Olusegun Obasanjo promulgated the Land Use Decree (now Land Use Act) in 29th of March, 1978. By the provision of the Land Use Decree of 1978, the inhabitants of the oil producing communities were turned into squatters in their own ancestral homes, as land where oil is explored, produced, transported and stored were decreed to belong to the state long after political independence in 1960. The existence and application of the Land Use Act of 1978 contributed to the present state of neglect, under-development and the insecurity of the region. Remember the paper by Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the current Emir of Kano, a Fulani, where he revealed some truths about your people: "YORUBAS ARE THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA"? http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/yorubas-are-the-problem-with-nigeria-by-sanusi-lamido-sanusi-elombah-com.111348/ In sum, the Yoruba political leadership, as mentioned by Balarabe Musa, has shown itself over the years to be incapable of rising above narrow tribal interests and reciprocating goodwill from other sections of the country by treating other groups with respect. Practically every crisis in Nigeria since independence has its roots in this attitude. The Yoruba elite were the first, in 1962, to attempt a violent overthrow of an elected government in this country. In 1966, it was the violence in the West which provided an avenue for the putsch of 15th January. After Chief Awolowo lost to Shagari in 1983 elections, it was the discontent and bad publicity in the South-West which led to the Buhari intervention... 8 Likes |

[s] 90xtr93r:[/s] Lagos and some other parts of Yorubaland in Nigeria are doing well because of the midal touch of Igboness. Are your own ibo villages allergic to your midal touch of iboness to prevent you and your future generations from migrating to Yourbaland? Do you villagers even read the mindless rubbish you type before posting? 21 Likes 1 Share |
