A fi o joba, o tun nse oogun awure!
Se o fe di Olodumare ni?
A difa fun Lagos ti o nbeere special status!

That Lagos will go to Abuja to ask for special status is clear evidence of wrong priority of the leadership. You already have everything and some people are saying already that you are no man's land only for you to go and request for special status! That is really sad!. Lagos island is Awori land and Aworis need to rise up and insist their land must never be given special status by Nigeria. Break up Nigeria and return people's land to them.

And those countries dont come close to kenya in GDP. Stop d joke please. These countries are not even in the top 10, and u are bragging about them. I made mention of kenya because kenya is among Africa's economic giants. If i wanted mediocre countries like the ones u mentioned. Lagos tops all of them except 4. Thats why its fifth.

The water table in Lagos is probably too high for a true subway system.
The Channel tunnel passes through the Ocean so a high water bed, table or chair is a relatively minor constraint though I do not believe an underground subway is necessary

No one is in pain the money will accrue to the state from what the FG generates IN THE STATE . To that extent I do not agree with the bill. It should APPLY TO ALL STATES let EVERY STATE get the same share of money generated within its boundaries. Why the need for special status. Let us go for full blown federalism

This new strategy of adding Kano and Anambra states to to the special status bill means the bill has a better chance of being passed, but it's a sober reminder of the geo-political fault lines in our nation that must be recognized in ways that could hinder genuine economic progress.

Above all, this is great for Lagos, it will enable Ambo-super to continue his magic in the centre of excellence. I look forward to the day that Lagos develops an effective underground rail system to solve the myriad of transportation problems and boost economic development.

It's not as if your comment surprised me, because you have always been dumb!

It's just that this is a hateful lie! A dangerously foolish comment!

Have you ever been to Onitsha in your miserable life? I doubt so. Like it or not, that place is deserving of some kind of help to encourage its growth. Rivers State deserves consideration, yes, but to talk down other places as less deserving of such on grounds of some silly reasons is the peak of stupidity.

Labelling Kano an unproductive state tells of a creek soldier who barely knows a thing.

You should seek whatever god you believe in sometime, you need profound cleansing! Your kind of hate could consume you otherwise.
To hundred Stupid and deluded comments, dre is always a perfect comment/fact. Ur comment is d real definition of FACT. 1000 likes 4 dz comment.

Now, back to the OP for me,any SW state would be a NO NO for me. Because once the so called " special status" is granted our Anambra,Lagos become "for all".

Lol! I can see " we SS people" convulsing over the inclusion Of Onitsha in the plan.
Funny enough, I saw none of these people complain on behalf of SE when plans to totally marginalize the zone in Buhari proposed loan.

Anyway, the inclusion of Anambra is a welcome development.
Told those " We SS people" thinking that Nigeria is more favourable to them than Ndiigbo, that Nigeria or Biafra, the Igbo man will always get his share.

Anyway, as the highest oil producing state, I think Akwa Ibom should be added to the list to sweeten the bill and to represent the SS. Akwaibom is also very densely populated and deserves the recognition.

Many people on this thread think the bill is about federal government giving free monies to those states. ..lol.

You only get back 20% of proceeds generated from your state.

This bill isn't about giving free money to onitsha, Kano or lagos.

Lagos will benefit largely because it's clear the federal government generates more money from lagos state .
Lagos alone contributes 60% of our GDP ..Kano and anambra were only included for political reasons and for easy passage of the bill. some are even saying it will help the textile industry in Kano, pls how much is the textile industry generating for FG. ..in reality it's only lagos that's benefiting from this kind of Bill because FIRS is more active in Lagos than any of the other two states mentioned

It's only states like Lagos, ogun, akwa ibom, rivers, ondo that will benefit from this kind of Bill if they were included.

Most of Anambra's proceeds goes to their state government, so it's like giving anambra back their 20% of nothing

I would still argue it should apply to ALL STATES . Those that get 20% of nothing will realise that soon enough but why single out Lagos state. Let us first establish the principle and the rationale for the principle.
The other issue is why 20% and not 13% . Why not increase oil derivation to 20% too?
