PMB has already scored big with this move beyond your wildest imagination. First, what Yorubas wanted was for that day to be NATIONALLY recognized and not some renaming of Unilag. Secondly, the Vice-president is a Yoruba man here and there are many in his govt.

Yes, many Yorubas still hate PMB politically but this master-stroke with the impeding loss of the chairman of APC by Oyegun will mean PMB will most possibly edge (albeit a bit) any PDP candidate in the SW.

But, for this, the Yorubas owes him.

So if another Abiola scenario happens, we will have 2 democracy day celebrations...
