Having nicknames for your country is commonplace:

Nigerians have the power to change the name our country from Nigeria to Naija,that is my opinion.

At the moment the name is relevant to the Nigerian Show/Entertainment world. I believe Dora is being fed misinformation from the enemies of Nigeria. The word Naija is uniting all Nigerians together.
