Was her problem financial? I think the post didn't specify what led to her depression. She said people promising her but cancelling/postponing. Truly, it could be financial help but it could also be something else.
There is one area of depression that we are not paying attention to in Nigeria. I know most of our depression is caused by finances but hormonal imbalances and family history could also cause it. There is no amount of money or numerous counselling that could talk anyone out of it. Some depression medicines and therapy have to be involved.

You think she doesn't love the child she left behind? But her mind having been arrested by this deadly illness, she couldn't think beyond herself to the point of even remembering her child. Severe depression is as deadly as that.

I don't care the kinda depression she's going through, many have gone through hell and they are still living with hopeful days.
