on chime's peaceful stepping down for Ekweremadu

Today I saw courage and patriotism overcome personal interest.
The courage of one Man who carried the development burden of our State on his shoulder for years, turning it around from a haven for thugs and robbers to one of the four most developed and peaceful States in Nigeria.
A great leader who refused to allow trappings of power to corrupt him.
A Noble leader who displayed excellence and selfless service.
A motivated leader who inspires others to become effective future leaders and developed them to supersede him.
Against popular mandate, he made a great sacrifice for peace to reign in Enugu State PDP family today.
Yes! He is an African leader with a heart of Gold for his people and the courage to step up Peace.
Today he became the heroic winner in the hearts of Millions of Enugu people. Today he made history again and continues to leave monumental  legacy for democracy and good governance in Nigeria.

Thank you spider. Enugu is beautiful. I am thinking of touring Enugu this Christmas. Thank you for showcasing Enugu. I believe the government should promote Enugu as a tourist heaven just like Calabar. Enugu is even better developed than Calabar yet tourism wise, Calabar is in the lead. You are doing a great job.

A big truth. Very much unlike Nigerian politicians who prefer to fight dirty to the end. Whatever reasons informed his decision, it is a wise one. Goodluck Jonathan should borrow a leaf from Chime and bow out honorably in 2015.

What I find heart warming these days about Enugu is the order in which people park there cars on the streets. May God touch the incoming governor to improve on it.

This is Chima's legacy. I didn't like his government but he had some good initiatives. It was a good move connecting New Haven and Independence layout through that road. I used it a lot last time I was home.

@Centje you know this is a big fallacy and I'm sure you know I will pick it out when you spew it.

Chime stopped fighting when he lost all. ALL I said. He lost out, forget that lame repacking of the greatest loser in Enugu politics by his lame aides who could offer no help to him, even a lame one. Amaka is a Diaspora dunce, I hope you know. She was recruited to open doors of international investment and aid into Enugu. What did she achieve? If she did her work, Chime wouldn't be borrowing billions in dying minutes. Amaka sat and Ekweremmadu defeated Chime in Diaspora Enugu election. Together with Jude Akubuilo. Now he has also defeated him at home. You see have the facts and figures. There is no nobility in Chime. Its just a shame. See the problem. Chime is surrounded by buffoons and defended by re-tarded chimps like you.

Why are you wasting eye shadow on a corpse, Centje? Chime: Dead he is for sure and fast proceeding to political rigor mortis. Just free us, abegi.

What was your noble Chime looking for seeking to go to the Senate? Was that not avarice? Someone who despises people and practically locked himself in inside the government house and who did nothing for his people of west district, just doing Enugu big boy and paving, painting and studding Enugu city center streets while his wine tapper kith and kin of Udi continue to clime and fall to their death from palm trees. What is Udi know for and how has he helped to modernise or progress it?

Please educate yourself by reading the real gist under the right heading below. Lame face-mending cannot assuage the disaster for which Chime connotes today -a disaster long predicted, anyway:

PDP Senatorial Tickets: Govs Uduaghan, Chime Forced Out By Power Play

As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) begins its primaries to choose its candidates for the National Assembly elections, an intense powerplay, intrigues and upsets have forced two frontline governors to abandon their senatorial ambitions. Barely 48 hours to the party’s senatorial primaries, governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan and his Enugu State counterpart, Sullivan Chime, lost in the power tussle in the state.

We have Sullivan Chime to thank for the peace and tranquillity in Enugu state. Whoever is forcing him out should just be prepared to work harder than him. He set the bar so high that it will take another great man to surpass him. The one billion dollar question is; who will succeed Sullivan and raise Enugu state higher than it is now?

You are right, Chimaroke Nnamani may have played some "hardman" politics but nobody can ague with the results he left on the ground. Some smart road connection he did are just great, like the Ebeano tunnel crossing. It eased a lot of traffic trouble in Enugu.

Welcome my brother, we in Enugu are not known for bitter politics. I dont know what you expected but if Chime had started to battle with Ekweremadu either I Abuja or Enugu, who will lose? Me and you and all the commoners too!

When two elephants fight, its only the grass that will suffer, so Chime is wise to step down and allow the better man go, as such Ekweremadu will be challenged to make a better representation of the zone.

The personality of Chime is built around calmness and tact. It will be foolish for him to sacrifice that on the alter of political over ambition. Enugu state is better because of the peace that will reign. Let us continue the peaceful march that brought us this high, while praying for the next governor to make this the very best state in Nigeria and beyond.

If the brain was attached to the head, those are jobs being taking away and food snatched from families. If the aim was to control traffic at every intersect in Enugu city, our current state of economy would have directed us to employ hands -a special squad of roads marshals paid minimally N19- N30,000 permonth.

Right now, apart from initial capital outlay, the recurrent costs of energy and maintenance is a minus. But if I dare say that, those whose contract it is will descend on me. Fanciful decoration of Enugu Centre when unemployment is killing the youths and women of Enugu State is close to a mortal sin.

My brother, I think you are wrong on this. The army of people you are talking about has not done any good controlling traffic in the few places they have been left to man. I will reply you with examples and if you insist, I will make a short video of two junctions, one will be Ogui road junction near the stadium where traffic lights control and Nowas junction of Trans Ekulu where humans control.

Humans are fraught with errors, and pure wickedness. I have had series of brushes with these thieves employed by Enugu east LGA till they noted me and now they dare not touch my car. They are always asking for bribes and can impound your car without any reason and make you to pay hefty sums. They are the judge and jury. Please dont support touting in Enugu state. It leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
