May God bless Faroese for protecting his people while Ugwuanyi keeps posing for photo ops with his fat face and stomach.
Enugu people shouldn't return the docile, weak and lame Gburugburu for second tenure.

An 18 year old herdsman, Haruna Ali, has been sentenced to two years imprisonment by a Chief Magistrate Court Ekiti state for unlawfully grazing his cows in a farmland in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. Haruna was arraigned before the Magistrate, Idowu Ayenimo, on Jan 22nd 2016 on a two-count charge of willful and unlawful damage of farm crops at Ago Aduloju in Ado-Ekiti. The case after the initial hearing was adjourned to today September 19th.
The magistrate while delivering judgement, ordered that the sentence should run concurrently, explaining that the term was minimal because the offence was committed before the Grazing Law was enacted in the state

Ugwuanyi is trying. He is a purposeful Governor working with his resources. This Opi-Nsukka road is classic.

My brother ask them, the architectures in the east are depressing. Believe me that is why the major cities in our region are looking undeveloped. Our office buildings are all looking like residential houses.

Architecture matters a lot. We need to ban building of those funny 4 storey buildings along major roads. Buildings on major roads should be glass or bonded houses.

Meanwhile this is the residential outlook of Owerri. I wonder if this is better than the those medium high residential buildings. Some people are naturally sadistic..

I used Orlu to avoid the usual unnecessary clash because some people find my views of those houses derogatory especially Anambrians which has made Chino post some nonsense already. lol! When you visit ordinary South African city of 50 thousand people you will understand that major roads in Orlu should be dotted with good architecture. The inner streets are okay with the 3 storey flats. Stadium Road in Port Harcourt is developing the way I wish all Southeast major Roads should.

Otondo I only posted that to show you that you need to take your advise to Owerri where shanties and Ikwerre-type residential houses are still dominant. Those 3-4 storey flats are still contemporary at least for the low and medium class that reside in them. It is still the best for that class all over Nigeria.

Gov. Ugwuanyi is erroneously regarded as a dull guy, perhaps due to his unappealing stature. He looks more like an 80s OMATA Igboman who has just gotten a new chieftancy title from his village. But behind that image is a man determined to leave a legacy for his people.
While passing Opi Junction on my way to Abuja in July i noticed he chose RCC, yes RCC, to construct the new four lane road from Opi to Nsukka. I am sure he is likely to engage the company on more roads inside the serene university town. Folks say he is really reshaping the town entirely with good new roads.

In 1992 during his time as Governor, Okwesilieze Nwodo only left heaps of sand and mud on the same road as he struggled to show Nsukka some love. Not even 1m of asphalt was laid on there before a soldier came saying 'fellow Nigerians' on radio. He was gone and Nsukka people never forgot he brought nothing home! Ugwuanyi seems to have learnt some lesson from Nwodo's fate. He is bringing something home fast and solid.

In coal city, he is goofing big time. Enugu residents were used to taking good roads with pedestrian sidewalk for granted during Chime's tenure. One could walk confidently on the city's numerous sidewalks without being scared of a crazy driver hitting you. From Agbani Rd, Ziks Avenue, Ogui Rd, Presidential, Chime Avenue , Garden Avenue etc, 042 was delighted in taking walk on sidewalks! Then came Ugwuanyi, Abakpa and Trans Ekulu roads were built without sidewalks. What a way to take us backward.
