@Chyz

Talk sense into your igbo people's head. Why are they confusing Nigeria? Why are they drawing back and not joining the fight wholeheartedly? why are they backstabbers and backbiters? Is it because they put GEJ there or the fake igbo alliance in 'ebere azikiwe'? If you want us in the south and the west to join you in the fight for liberation, you guys better know where your loyalty lies or you guys will fight alone!

They are back biters and backstabbers? The last time I checked, they were betrayed by your forefathers. Remember the Aburi Accord? You must be 5 years old. This is the time for the south west to take the lead. The rest of us will just sit back and watch. When you get there, let us know. And please dont talk to us about loyalty because you really are short on that. I wouldnt stake my 2 cents on you.
Politics / Re: Fuel Vouchers: A Better Way To Subsidize Fuel? by dmainboss: 1:02pm On Jan 10, 2012
Honestly, apart from a few flaws I see in it,  the @op's suggestion actually raises one of the fundamental questions about Nigeria that has not been answered. Why dont we have a national database? This is the single most important problem with Nigeria. More important than the power and transports problems combined. Once we have a real national database, then we are ready to move into the 21st century. Until then, we are still living in the 20th century. A national database will fight corruption, help fix the power and transportation problems, help fix to a large degree the security problem. Also jobs, education and many other sectors will benefit. I think those who dont want the national database to work are our biggest enemies.

You are posting st.upi.d fake pics. That is not from a today protest in Benin. I grew up in Benin. tell me who is leading the protest? Is it students? Is it market women? Is it ACN party people. Is it who? If they carried a coffin. who sponsored it? You think you are talking to children? You just look for fake pics from google images and post them here. You are too dishonest. Oshimole is in full support of fuel subsidy removal so ACn is definitely not going to protest. Who will then protest and go as far as sponsoring the use of a coffin and buying one? Is it civill society groups? because I cant see any of them in your pics. Even if you are right for fighting against fuel subsidy removal, you shouldnt spread false information to butress your point. We can only join real struggle, not lies like yours. It is the likes of you that are spreading rumours and propaganda that iweala wants to resign and Abati has resigned and all that crap. You are not helping the fight. You are destroying it.

Mr londoner, please I would like us to get the issues straight and not digress unnecessarily. The issue at hand is the more than doubling the price of fuel overnight and unannounced, that is a shock to any society in the world. Would London remain the same if such thing is done?

The Niger delta crisis was armed rebellion against clear injustice, it was not a protest and they (the militants) did not invite others to join them. Even though wole soyinka was a actively in support.

This is an issue that will further pauperize everybody but the elite who do not pay for services anyway, so we must mobilize and ask for our rights. The purpose of government is not to build roads, houses, bridges, airports, etc, but to ensure the
welfare and happiness of its citizens. If the citizens are unhappy, then whatever you build is useless.

So in conclusion, the demand of everybody is first a reduction (if not complete elimination) of corruption and affordable transportation (persons and goods). Then later we can discuss how we intend to live together under the Nigerian state, by we agreeing of a constitution instead of living under a decree.

Boko haram, niger delta militants, OPC, MOSSOB, etc can bring their grievances to the table.

Please stop grouping Boko Aram with these other groups. BH is a terrorist group. They bomb innocent people. They have nothing to bring to the table

I hope the ND will not also join the NLC/TUC strike next week  lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

I would not debate you here,  'cos this is not the appropriate thread. I know what I am talking about. The SE are more realistic with themselves than us ND. You mention Rivers and Akwa-Ibom,  funny enough, the political instability in both states means it is unlikely that the tempo you talked about will live on. A case example is Cross-River state. Remember Donald duke and His visionary leadership? What has happened to Cross-Rivers under the present governor?

Let me leave it at that,  I have the figures and facts of Akwa-Ibom like the back of psalms, and sorry,  it's Economic hemorrhage more than anything else!

You are only spewing propaganda like you people always do. You are the best at that. I have to give it to you and your people. The new port is already underway in Akwa Ibom. The power generating project is about done. You like stay there and keep spewing propaganda. River Niger port is about taking off fully. You still there?  You can say all you like, but its your fight now. You do the fighting and the sacrifice. the SE and SS have done their part over the years. Do you know how many people where killed in the Biafran war? Do you know how many people have died in the creeks? You have no idea. You come and and fight now. Its your turn. We just want out. Simple

Beaf, it is unethical playing the ethnic card, it will only create animosity from other tribes.

Do you know the ethnic composition of the protesters in Lagos, Ibadan, Ilorin and Abuja? Or are you saying no body from the Niger Delta is among the protesters?

People are protesting on a personal basis, that is how the fuel increase will affect them, and not on tribal basis or because Jonathan is president

Niger Delta  ex-militants on Tuesday blocked the Bomadi Junction, a section of the East-West Road in Delta State to protest against President Goodluck Jonathan’s decision to remove fuel subsidy.

The ex-militants allegedly armed were said to have engaged the  Joint Task Force  in a gun battle that lasted for over an hour.

The  protesters numbering over 300 were also said to have blocked the Warri-Port Harcourt Road, causing traffic gridlock and frustrating travellers.

Simply put: COWARDICE,  supra intelligent,  feeding all Nigerian States,   yet the other day Northern transporters went on strike, there was barely any red tomatoes to buy in Warri,  so much of you feed all Nigerian States.

Listen, 'm Niger Deltan myself,  and we are ALL deceiving ourselves in that region with the exception of Edo State. If you do not know it, ND stand to suffer most from this policy than any other region! GEJ might be there for the next 3years at best, but does it bother you that ALL the projects GEJ is 'attempting' to do in the ND will take nothing less than 4years to complete; meaning the next president, if S/He plays same ethnic card (as the SS/SE are doing currently), will leave the projects abandoned!

Think One Nigeria, Think about your less privilaged neighbour

Sorry You dont know what you are talking about. Niger Delta is under going the biggest transformation in the whole Nigeria right now. Both in terms of infrastruture and human capacity development. Do you know what is going on in akwa ibom and rivers? and the River Niger dredging project? you have no clue. By the tme GEJ is true, half the port activities in Lagos will be moved to ND. You certainly dont know whats coming

I Just spoke to a friend in PH this morning and asked him how the subsidy protest is going and he laughed and said, it is the poor guys in Lagos that are protesting. He said GEJ has empowered boys in ND and they dont have time for protest. He said the guy that used to paint his office and house told him he no longer has time for that because he now collects 150k monthly amnesty pay. He just came back from SA for training. Boys are smiling in Niger Delta and they dont have time for any yeye protest. It is time for the south west to fight it out. When Ojukwu was shouting his voice hoax over 40 years ago, they said he was a f00l. Some still come here and insult him.

Let them fight it out. It is their turn now. This is not the fight of the SE or SS. We are watching. When we see the terrain is clear, we will act. No more free beer. That era is gone. Boys are driving around with big machines in PH. No time for yeye protest.

How you gonna divide without removing PDP from power please explain? What dont you undesrstand that all memebrs of PDP benefit how NAIJA is now. You think they care about splitting?

The last time I checked,, the people that dont want Nigeria to divide are mostly in ACN and CPC. The SE and SS want to divide and they are in PDP. Do you see why this protest will not work? It is so partisan from day one. Until you find a way to start a non partisan struggle, it will continue to fail. I am currently out of Lagos and can tell you that apart from the SW, nothing much is happening around Naija. Not because the people are happy with the removal of fuel subsidy, but because they see it as the fight of the SW. Even in Edo state that is ACN controlled, no one is even coming out.

See,. I will give some of you good advise. If you want the SE and SS to join  you, first stop insulting GEJ and start addressing the issues of government and true federalism. Insulting GEJ will continue to put them off. If you think they are going to be happy with you when 23, 000+ ex militants are undergoing training all over the world, then you are f00ling yourself. You might disagree if you like, but you will still come back to this post

We were joined by students from D Polytechnic UI.

We all had d honour of a senior police officer and her team escorting us to see the Governor at the Govt house.

After initial resistance, some commisioners came out to address us bt we insisted on seeing d governor. He bowed to popular demand and later came out to listen to us, address us and take a letter containing our needs to be delivered to Jona dull.
