Greetings great people. Please I have a question regarding emergency travel ceritifcate (ETC). I need to apply for one for my daughter (a year a few months old) to facilitate our trip to Nigeria. Can I do this on her behalf, presenting all the relevant documents, her birth certificate and a copy of my pasport inclusive, since no capturing is required? Or must I go with her and my wife? I would really prefer to go alone and save them the hassle. No speicific information about children and ETC on the Nigeria high commision website, so any other information regarding the application process will be greatly apprerciated. Thanks. |

Indeed, all the invaluable information and suggestions I gathered from here in no small measure made my visa application process a lot more easier. To the glory of God, I got a mail today that my application has been approved and visa issued after about 4 working days. Special thanks to SpikesC and DonOms. 1 Like |

Allenbaba: Has anybody gone to Abuja without booking an appointment and was attended to? PLEASE!!! I am scared of Teleperformance oooThough I booked appointment before going, nobody asked me for it. I was only checked in with my online application print out and my passport. |

Allenbaba:From my personal experience, you do not need appointment to submit your application in Abuja. All the security personnel will use to check you in is your online application form print-out and your passport. |

spikesC:Ok, I got it now. I already have both codes as they are needed for many online payments and I have been using the master card options since that's the card I use. I had thought it was something a little bit different. Thanks SpikesC for your time. |

spikesC:Which specific internet portal can I do the registration and so as to have have my activation code and secure code? how do I asses the master card gateway in order to make payment? Sorry for the many questions. I really want to get this thing because that last payment I made online (the transaction was in Pounds Sterling) was not funny at all in terms of the rate. Thanks. |

sashacoleman: I actually did mine without my passport because my passport was at the south African embassy. I just went with the data page of my passport and the collection slip for my passport collection to prove that I was being honest.Exactly what I intend doing because that is the exact situation I am in now. My passport is still with the SA embassy. Where did you do your TB test, Lagos or Abuja? |

Emmagency:Thank. Its just that a friend told me I can pay for my online visa application before printing out my bank statement since my application is deem completed only when I go for my biometrics and submit my supporting documents and not necessary when I pay online. The reason I put up the issue for clarification. Thanks again for ur comment. |

Please @justwise, SpikesC, DonOms and co, I want to know if I can apply online and pay for my visa application before my fund clocks 28 days. The essence is to get an appointment date as close to the day my fund clocks 28 days as possible. If I should wait till I print my bank statement on the 18th of August before paying for my application, I reasoned it may take another long time before getting an appointment due to the possible queue. Or is it possible for me to fix an appointment at the visa centre without paying for my visa application. I really need clarification here please. Thanks all in anticipation of your comments. |

DonOms:Thanks DonOms for the comment. Yes, I am using my personal account. My degree cert is the only document stated on my CAS. That means the requirement is minimum of 28 days in terms of the fund, but it can stay a little more than that? I was initially concerned with this. |

Many thanks Justwise, SpikeC an others for the great job you guys are doing here. Please, I just want to be sure that my calculations and preparations are in order based on what I have read so far here. I deposited the required fund into my account on the 18th of July From my calculations, the 28th day will be on the 15th of August, being a Friday. To be on the safe side, I plan printing on the 18th of August (the 31st day), being Monday since I cant do so on Saturday and Sunday (though I would have preferred any of these days), pay for my online application on Tuesday and book an appointment for Wednesday. Please, am I in order? Secondly, below are the documents I am hoping to use for my application 1. The degree cert with which I got my admission and which is also stated on my CAS 2. My CAS 3. My passport 4. Bank Statement 5. TB test result 6. My visa online application print out 7. My study leave with pay approval letter from my employer (I know this is not mandatory, I just want to include it to add credence to my application) Please, is there anything I am missing out? Thanks all as I await your invaluable comments |

Seriously, this should be thoroughly investigated by the relevant agencies and any one found culpable should be made to face the full weight of the law. |
