Anita should calm down for hubby oo. Wolves plenty for outside.

Good point. Another point is that they were married in Nigeria and not in the US, and while they were married, they never established physical residence, so the laws where they got married particularly if Paul isn't a US citizen would take precedence. The only thing Anita can go after is child support considering the kids are US Citizens. Then again, what do I know .

What they are interested in is exploiting you because of the population not that they value you... Meanwhile, they have these interest, yet it's either they're closing shop or porting over to Ghana our next door neighbor. Continue okay.

Even Twitter is losing aggressively too not only Nigeria

Twitter's worldwide revenue breakdown by geographical area shows that US and Japan accounts for about 70% of revenue leaving the other 30% to "other world". Even at that, Nigeria did not make it to the top 20 of other world. Given our economy and exchange rate, I don't think revenue from Nigeria makes any meaningful impact, hence why no significant move from Twitter. Don't overestimate our relevance when it comes to this matter.

The bank involvement would greatly impact on the general rates.. we still have those outside the book purposes today but we see the price crashing daily.. why?... because the supply is outweighing the demand on the BDC side.

For imports, people have bypassed the BDC's.. Nigerian organizations are now set up in various countries where you credit their naira account here and your payment is made abroad to the individual or organizations with a single transaction lien on transfer company account here in Nigeria until payment is received by your contact..

So how do these Nigerian companies "set up abroad" or in various countries, get rid of the stashed naira in their naira accounts? Are they an export business selling Nigerian products overseas? If these Nigerian companies abroad transact an avg of about $100k monthly, in exchange of N50M, my question is: how did they source the $100k and how do they get rid of this N50M now piled up in their account?

The case of onyeama made me see how fbi can issue stupid warrants once it's Africa, Nigeria especially, that is involved in the case....

But the likes of Enron, WorldComm and Bernie Madoff and so many other high profile indictments were all prosecuted and were almost all white people and Americans. Continue consoling yourself. If anyone does crime, they should face the law.

seunmsg:
So, when are you guys doing an analysis of the amount paid to Agberos in Enugu, Abia, Rivers, Anambra, Kano, Abuja etc? Abi NURTW only exist in Lagos?

Analysis like this would make a lot of sense if it was done all over the country or at least in some selected states so that we can do a comparative analysis. So, why single out Lagos state?

Btw, NURTW is a trade Union. Trade Unions and professional bodies charge their members huge sums annually. As a member of ICAN, I pay 30k to the institute as annual subscription. I still pay for conference, AGM and faculty due without complaining. So, are members of NURTW complaining? Who forced them to be members of the union?

N30k annual subscription is about N2,500 per month or about N100 per day (25 working days) , now compare that to the figures represented, that's about 1500% to 3000% increase depending on the type of operator. Now ask yourself if that's sustainable. Even more so, compare that to your earning and their earning and again ask if that's sustainable.

Inasmuch as we recognize young hard-working individuals, but it's important not to exaggerate stuff. On that note, please tell me that you're not quoting a Nairametrics article or some other newspaper article, because in that NM article, it says that "he believes that his company is worth $400M". I've looked around online to find a good source validating this valuation, just can't find it. If you can't point me to one, that'd be helpful. Doesn't hurt to learn everyday. And also, assuming this was correct, unless he's the "sole" owner of his company (without investors of cos), then this is somewhat incorrect.

Again, America has a long standing tradition and they DON'T negotiate with terrorists (in reference to a captured soldier or in cases of hostages etc.. Unless you have a Top Secret Security Clearance and in the know, please say what you know. The Taliban/Afghan deal you're indirectly referring to is about America's troops withdrawal and to bring peace to the region, this has nothing to do with captured Americans.

I'll personally draft and create a contract and get the very first investors to sign that at all times I'll own 60% of the shares.

All share sales and dilution will come from the remaining 40%. Can't come and form a company and then some modaf*ckers will push me out.

This is nearly impossible for many reasons, because a bulk of the dilution comes after the the early stage of the company, which is the growth stage, and also, because of the pre and post money valuation and certain types of clauses regarding voting rights, naming of directors and much more. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but most investors wouldn't subscribe to this. May be possible for a small corporation but definitely not a large or mega type corp.

I am known already with little or no introduction on this Esteemed Platform and truly when Nairaland was at its hottest through political debates and what have you with the likes of Onlytruth, Katsumoto, Dayokanu, Berem (now Beremx), Desola, ejine, Adadike, Babyosisi, Dede, Dede1, Naptu2, Ecoterror, GeneralScatter, GeneralIgrigri, Scatterboss, Ilugunboy, Gbawe, TonyeBarcanista, Engineerboat, Ngwuake, Andre_Uweh, Ngodigha  grin grin and many other gladiators too numerous to mention and even remember. We engaged back then in hot duels that would almost looked like somebody might die in the process - oh yes it was that tough and heated in momentum but somehow we were taken by passion for a Nigeria that will work for all and that we all can be proud of as Nigerians. Unfortunately, while some of us were hardcore realists, some were mere daydreamers with their flawed analyses on political discourse.

Shortly after the 2015 Presidential elections, we the GEJites or Jonathanians came under heavy attacks from the camps of the Buharists that Jonathan messed up the polity and it is only a Buhari Presidency that can fix the rot. The Jonathanians maintained that there was actually no rot of the magnitude the Buharists and APC were trying to paint but only propaganda by the Buharists just to get a power grab. It was in the middle of this online squabbles especially 2 months after Jonathan's loss in early May, 2015 that I coined my signature because I twas too sure that Buhari will be a disaster to our Country. Judging from what that had took place in the last 4 years and even now under Buhari, It is crystal clear that I saw the future today. My signature since that month of May, 2015 reads; "Goodluck Ebele Jonathan remains a HERO in the politicosphere of Nigeria and beyond. History will surely REMEMBER him for GOOD ! Buhari may end up being, 'the proverbial Hossana to the King and later on Crucify him' this is the story of Nigerian Politics"   looking at this signature you need no interpreter to tell you that what I saw and some of us (GEJites) saw about Buhari and his deens (Buharideens) have all been coming to pass right before our very eyes. May Nigeria survives this disaster called Buhari.

It sure has been a while on this forum; I did not know you were served a ban... Anyway, thank you for this wonderful post. Many saw into the future - that Buhari would be and still remains a colossal disaster. The Buharists were so certain that Nigeria would be the next Eldorado, they all believed that he would supposedly fix Jonathan's mess and Nigeria's problem with a magic wand; little did they know their bubble was about to burst, and their troubles were about to start, more so compounded. Sometimes ago, I believe about a year ago, I saw a post from "Berem" who was a staunch Buharigerian, grin and all a sudden, changed course and was against him. I guess she herself experienced the change Buhari promised. Nigerians are in fire for another gruesome four years, I'm hoping that all supporters of Buhari feel the "change" as well.

Because ALL pilots start out with regionals not just Nigerian pilots...EVERYBODY. Yes they pay you peanuts, but after you've earned enough flight hours and probably a type rating, then you can join the majors. With the pilot shortage, regionals are paying more and even there are tuition payback programs from some airlines up to $20,000. Airlines like American even offer a transition path from the regional carriers to American itself. So it's not terrible as you paint it.

As simple as it was, divorce was finalized in such a short period. So trust me, she was very lenient.

If you think they don't make as much, yet they own over 65 airplanes. And still making orders of new Airplanes.

An airplane is NOT a car you easily buy, airplane purchases are financed as capital leases or direct financing if you qualify with an outstanding credit profile. There are different methods of aircraft financing, even major airline corps finance their purchases to free up cash flow and NOT thru direct cash purchase. Now, though I talked about revenues, what you're talking about "owning" 65 airplanes is asset and literally doesn't have any major relationship to revenue. A good example assuming you're a Real Estate Developer, you built a 65 homes worth $65million, does that mean you would net $65million in annual rental revenues? This is the simplest analogy without me delving into this topic.

If according to you, they make N2billion a year, and most businesses net about 5-8% net profit margin, then it's fair to say that revenues are in excess of N35billion annually, or about N3billion monthly. I'm sorry, that's not the type of business that's under the radar that govt cannot come after them. Even Air Peace doesn't net $100 million annual revenues yet it's a well known aviation company.

As much as this is a welcome development, I would caution that they ease out on buying new airplanes aggressively. This is how many airlines went bankrupt due to cash pledged in the purchase of new airplanes, and the most recent which is WOW airlines.

How come the pilots had no idea that it was a wrong route till they landed?

Is this how it is always done?

Was there no announcement.

Did the pilot think he was supposed to be going to Scotland?

Who is to blame really?

I'm really in the dark here.

Do you think a flight path and coordinates is visible like you have traffic signs on the roads? Pilots fly IFR after a certain altitude and unless it's a flight route frequently flown by the same crew which isn't often the case anyway, it's next to impossible to notice the error. The dispatcher informs the crew you're heading to Germany, but goes right ahead to file a flight plan to Scotland, Pilot programs his flight management computers with Scotland information as provided by the dispatcher. Pilot believes he's flying to Germany after all, and doesn't notice the problem until he's probably on final approach. Inasmuch as the pilot is responsible to check over dispatch information and make sure airport codes are correct, mistakes and lack of oversight do happen, the person to really blame is the dispatcher that handed over wrong information to the pilot to program. I can bet that Germany's airport code has the same characters as Scotland, perhaps it was transposed.

They dont need to be 'intervening' all day, just shut down the auto pilot systems and fly the plane like any other plane, chikena.

Many pilots engage the autopilot during take off and landing, not through out the flight. They can always fly manually.

It seems in these cases the pilots didnt know it was the autopilot he engaged that is nosediving the plane, so he panicked instead of simply disengaging the autopilot.

Try flying a plane for an hour, and then 3hrs and then more hours manually, then you'd see why it's necessary to engage A/P. Anyway, there seems to be a lot of chaotic contradictions, most pilots and Boeing engineers have repeatedly stated that MCAS automatically activates ONLY when the A/P is on OFF position. So this wasn't an A/P issue, but an MCAS software issue, and more, more training on how to disengage this system, at least during the crucial stage of flight.

I've seen clients get scammed by people like you, and to think Seun allows this scam on his site makes more sense why real people have left NL. Boy, just hit me up privately, I will bless you with $5 or N1,700 which is almost 20x your minimum, at least that way you can be super rich. Lmao... What a load of fuckery!!!!!

I was wondering, why are there no parachutes in air planes?

Am sure the pilots knows that the plane will crash like 5/10 minutes time b4 it eventually crashed

If there was parachutes inside the aircraft the pilots would told them to jump & save themselves

Then, even if na lions den u land put, at least u know u still have a lifeline cry cry

Commercial airplanes aren't designed like fighter jets where you pull a latch and baam, you escape. First, aircraft doors and latches are designed with such tensile strength to protect against intense pressure and temperature, and such, makes it nearly impossible to open midflight. And even if you were able to open it, chances of the plane disintegrating is highly possible.
Secondly, pressurization starts at about 8,000ft MSL, usually at that level, cabin is pressurized. Even if you escaped thru a parachute, you'd probably pass out due to low oxygen and cold temperature in few seconds... Finally, an airplane climbs out at least 1,200ft /min, but when it's on a freefall nose or tail dive, all bets are off. It's dive speed could be up to 4x or almost 5,000 ft/min... A plane at 9,000 ft which Ethopian was at needed less than 2min to hit terrain. In such chaos, two mins is just enough time to reconcile with God your creator and not enough time to react by aiming for a parachute. Please note that when the plane is on a vertical dive, how do you intend to move around the cabin? Besides, even if you had time, passengers are not really trained to use a parachute... So it's not possible in other words.
