Idi Amin: I hope you guys have jobs for all the police officers you caused their sack so far. They are people's fathers, mothers, brothers and breadwinners. I am not supporting corruption but how many of you have attempted to expose corrupt politicians, civil servants, bankers etc. An average Nigerian is corrupt so why emphasize on police alone 1.---The crusade has to start somewhere, and where best to start than the NPF, who are the most ubiquitous and brazen in bribery and corruption? 2.---Your argument about their being fathers, mothers, sister, etc does not hold water. The citizens being traumatised and extorted daily also have families. 2 Likes |

The arrest is only the beginning of the story. More important will be what will happen in investigation, prosecution and sentencing him to appropriate punishment according to our laws. I am not confident that will be followed to logical conclusion. |

victorv12: We need a lot of psychiatric institution in Nigeria. The percentage of people that are insane in our country is highly enormous. Most of the people that we see on a daily that we think that are sane are mentally sick. thats not to talk of the incessant brainwashing by lots of self-appointed "men of god" 1 Like |

Mr. Aladin: A civilised person argues with facts and figures, and from a position of objectivity, not with sentiments and baseless stereotyping. AND for your info, the average Aboki in far more intelligent than you, given the same opportunities. 5 Likes |

petrov 10: he can go to hell...who needs him ..stewpd aboki Jona CERTAINLY needs him for 2015: He presides over Kano State, the most populous state in Nigeria. (2006 census figures). He can easily unite majority of the Northern governors against Mr. Shoeless. AND like it or not, Nobody can win a free and fair election in Nigeria without the support of the North. 6 Likes |

uthupbe: Nairaland is a market place where u display your wares. If you are afraid to display the price along with it, its unfortunate that your wares will be ignored and opportunities pass you by. Its a poor marketing strategy. Think abt it. PRICEIS IS THE STRONGEST MOTIVATIONAL FACTOR. Good day seconded |

olabukola: Heat grow, gatwick, and many other uk airports are not managed by uk govt. you guys should get unself informed b4 hitting the keyboard. Yeah, but they are managed by reputable home-based (uk) companies. AND are Nigerians complaining about the current arrangement? Methinks someone stands to get kickbacks from this concession. We should be careful how we parcel out out strategic assets to outsiders in rhe name of management. |

Politics / Re: Exxonmobil To Construct 500MW Power Plant In Akwa Ibom by Novice1(m): 1:09pm On Apr 25, 2013 |
Why is always " FG to do this, Mobil will do that"? and Never "FG has launched this, fg has finished that"? MArk my words, the project will be on paper in the next 5 yrs. If it is the Exxonmobil I know, the only projects they give priority are ones which involve accelerating oil exploitation. The know our people are corrupt, so they know how to promise and drag their feet, while oil extraction goes on 24/7. |

TechyGuy: Put sentiments aside. Where in Nigeria do you think people are ready to give tips to the police? If the citizens have confidence in the police to fight crime, will they resort to frequent lynchings of suspects? How many have gotten into trouble for ratting out criminals to the police? AND AND AND.... How many of those policemen are actually not in cahoots with criminals? 2 Likes |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Canada Foils 'major Terrorist Attack' by Novice1(m): 9:39pm On Apr 22, 2013 |
TechyGuy: Following the news and like that of Boston, the people once again collaborated with security operatives to thwart the plot. If only our security operatives get the kind of support from the communities where terrorists have thrived in Nigeria, the security challenges would have been subdued. You don't get that kind of support from the community when you traumatise them even more than BH. 21 Likes |
