This tragic event is so sad

But she did knew the relationship she was going into by dating a yahoo boy

Moral of the story

Ladies look before you leap.... Have an understanding of the person you want to go out with, don't fall because of money because am sure that's one of the things that did make her go for the guy.
And don't allow domestic violence, reject it and not promote or encourage it

Say no to domestic violence , to the ladies please beware, a guy that will slap you for any reason before marriage will turn you to his punching bag after marriage , there's no excuse for domestic violence .

May her soul rest in peace, pretty girl cry

Women! Women!! Women!!!
When are we going to learn?? Marriage is not a do or die affair. Money is not everything. And to think she had an opportunity to save her life and come back home. What kind of shame will she face that is worth her life now?

It's just too pathetic. May her soul RIP.

And What are we supposed to do?

She made her bed and has lain on it.

At least, she died a Mrs.

From the tweets you can see that the guy took everything she could have used to run away
Phone, money

But, am sure she could have made a report to the police over there
They have listening ears and could help

She was locked up for months in a room, deprived from the outside world following the beating.....

This is a lesson to those ladies who get beaten but choose to stay. It's better to leave and be stigmatized than to die a heroin.

RIP

We are supposed to advice those who are in a similar situation but decide to stay hoping he will change.

Death seems better than shame in many Nigerian marriages. I hope families and people suffering abusive relationships will learn but they never do

That was a rhetorical but it didn't start overnight. She might have been able to save herself if she didn't wait until it escalated to the point of him locking her up for months(if that's true)

Anyway may she RIP. cry

My dear lady,

Keep up the good work, God be with you...

If Liz Benson had the sense to run away from home because of FGM @ age 13, a 30yr old woman does not know when to run?

Let another victim come here and you advice her to separate while they find a lasting solution, you become a feminist and home wrecker or red bra & black pant crew come to teach her how to cook fresh fish peppersoup and wind her waist 360°…

Honestly, next story undecided

Seriously. Only when the victim is dead do our people see the fault in her having stayed in the union.

While she's still alive anyone who advices her to leave is an evil divorce advocate.

Can you imagine?
She was afraid to come back home less than a year?

Till Nigerian women start understanding that divorce isn't the worst thing that can happen to a woman...there would be more stories like this.
That nigga would beat you to death and marry another!

I don't even know who to blame, the society ...her family or herself (perhaps all)

We should look at the time frame here, she got married November 2013,and might have joined her hubby after some months or so-Malaysia is a non english speaking country. She might have not have any knowledge of the place, police station and no friends...

All this happen within a year, she was just not lucky....her chances of survival were slim.

I am sorry to disappoint you If you expect me to say 'eh ya... RIP ' because I won't

She is a waste to her family... imagine a father and mother toil to bring up a child and when they should enjoy, she commits suicide?

She was ashamed to come back back home because her marriage was not working??

Is it not a living person who works on her marriage?

What a waste to her parents.

It is better they did not give birth to her @All!

I really feel for them sad
