The best places for Palm plantation are Imo, Anambra States esp Mgbidi, Oguta, Awo Mmama and Ihioma side bothering Uli, Amorka, Mbosi and Orshumuoghu, these places have well developed palm market and 90% of baskets being used in Nigeria today are produced in those clusters.

Enugwu is rocky and hilly for palm thave o thrive there

I
Apart from IMO and Anambra u mentioned, my consultants also mentioned cross-river, Abia, parts of Bayelsa and Rivers state. Edo and Delta were also mentioned. In fact the guys @ nifor office also added Enugu state. Two of the largestoil palm plantation in Nigeria are in Warri north Delta state and Edo state. I.e pressco and okomu oil plc. I would have looked at delta state but for the cost of land and community and youth problem. I got almost 3 thousand hectares in Benue state close to tony elumelus farm( tetra agro) and I am considering using the space for something else. So Enugu and parts of Ebonyi are the other places mentioned and cost of land in these places are far less than what u will get in Anambra, Imo and even crossriver. Again because of obasanjo farms that took more than 10000 hectares in crossriver state, it is becoming difficult to secure land there as well.

Concept
The Enugu Lifestyle & Golf City resourcefully combines four prime functions to distinctively meet the basic needs of living with sustainable grandeur and truly live up to its billing as ‘the missing link in living’. This concept is represented by the schematic:

Residential
The residential development caters for a wide range of housing needs including entry-level, middle-income, executive, and super-exclusive homes. The community will be located around an 18-hole golf course that winds itself around the entire stretch of the development. An additional, exclusive 9-hole golf course will be located within the Presidential Park Estate and will be open to only residents of this super-exclusive, ultra-secure community within a very secure Enugu Lifestyle & Golf City.

Commercial
The commercial development is in the first section of the city. It is closest to the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway. Entering the city, the commercial development is to the right, while the industrial development is on the left. The commercial development has shopping nodes to cater to the daily shopping requirements of residents, and a regional shopping mall catering for most shopping requirements covering a very wide tenant mix to serve the region’s populace. It is the intention of the developers to approach international retail chains and anchor tenants to open branches in these shopping centres, and in so doing, supply the international quality and expertise desired.

A 5-star clubhouse and hotel is the central meeting point for residents in the community. The hotel will be built as a resort-getaway for business conferences and families desiring a vacation away from their busy daily lives.

Social
Social amenities like schools – primary and secondary, places of worship, sports facilities, sit-out parks and many others are provided to make this a self-sustaining city.

Environmental & Recreational
In support of the lifestyle concept, the championship golf course will set the standard of a quality international development with tracts of green areas through the city. The golf course will attract golfers and their families from all over Nigeria to utilize the hospitality facilities offered by the clubhouse, international hotel, lodges and villas. Large swimming pools, squash and tennis courts, volleyball, and fun sports will add to the daily recreation menu. Restaurants, dining venues, conference facilities and function rooms will offer visitors and residents their dream venue for casual nights out, company conferences, as well as that dream venue to get married and or celebrate that special occasion.

I'm an Esutite, think Enugu is a place were u can settle ur life not really an industrious state like Anambra, Aba,and lagos. The place is peaceful and accommodating just that Igbos naturally are never united so makes it difficult for their place in this country to be recognize if not for GEL government that decide to bring them Into the drawing board.

How widespread is this "Mbaka Why" video in the East?
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by donacsa: 1:22am On Feb 22, 2015
The video is very popular and similar analysis is at http://www.nigerians-like-oppressors.com/?page_id=423
It is also very popular abroad.
The challenge is that Buhari did not build anything when he was in power and Goodluck has built a lot of things.
Buhari did not also create any jobs but Goodluck has created many.
Mbaka's message suggests money may have changed hands and it looks like Ibos feel betrayed by him.

castrogee:

How I wish this is really happening. I mean, that the video trends everywhere even outside Nigeria. People don't seem to understand that Jonathan is fulfilling a divine mandate in Nigeria. God made Jonathan what he is today, and no man including Mbaka can take God's crown away from Jonathan. Even as an ordinary Nigerian - watching Jonathan has come to strengthen my faith in God, and indeed I now know that God surely liveth.

I know a one time governorship candidate of Anambra state, who in 2009 gubernatorial election visited and sought for the endorsement of the Sultan of Sokoto. Now one begins to wonder what has the endorsement of the sultan of Sokoto to do with Anambra gubernatorial election. This is simply to show us that in Nigeria there are powers that have been determining how things go, and these powers are now at work against Jonathan's re-election, simply because Jonathan has maintained his turf, not given-in to any kind of compromise.

A lot of injustices have been going on in Nigeria. I was astounded when a Director in the Ministry of Environment told me in 2011, that prior to Jonathan's presidency, all the Northern Emirs not including their Southern counterparts where paid over 10 million naira monthly, from the proceeds of royalties paid by oil companies. He even went on to say that most of the oil companies where compelled to have on their management board a nominee of any of the Northern Emir. Again, one begins to wonder the rationale, justice and common sense behind such arrangement. why will the oil gotten from the Niger Delta soil be used to service some Emirs in the far north, completely leaving out their Southern counterparts. These deals started immediately after the civil war, and all the leaders after Aguiyi Ironsi; including the recently converted democrat Buhari and Obasanjo endorsed it. Where is the justice and equity Buhari and Sanusi preaches. Thankfully, Jonathan did not only cancel it, but equally exposed the deal to some of his close aides and friends.

Some of us who have visited Bayelsa state know that the life those riverine people live is simply sub-human and despicable, yet their oil is what is sustaining Nigeria. Sustaining the Emirs, and Obasanjo that has been insulting the sensibilities of Nigerians. In overall, Bayelsans' bear the environmental degradation, while the rest of Nigerians including myself eat from their collective wealth.

What is most demeaning and disgraceful, is that 'we all' (Nigerians) benefit from the oil gotten from the Niger Delta region. However, while the Igbo race will be grateful to the Niger Deltans for helping us sustain our economy, the rest of Nigeria most especially the Fulanis rather take the path of insulting the very hands that feeds them.

Many a time I have heard Nigerians complain of corruption in Jonathan's administration. However, anyone who knows the workings of government will agree with me that in comparison, Jonathan is a saint compared to all the Nigerian former leaders (dead or alive). Jonathan cannot be compared to any of them in any positive aspect, he will win hands down. Jonathan may not be perfect, off course there are still lapses here and there, but comparing Jonathan with any of the Nigerian leader including Murtala and Buhari is like comparing black and white. Jonathan is the least most corrupt Nigerian leader!!!

When one aggregates all that has been happening in this country, evidently, one begins to understand why what Fr. Mbaka said is just pure bunkum and silliness. I want to believe that Mbaka is an informed citizen, and if he claims to be sincere with his conscience, and really meant what he said, then all I can say is that it is unfortunate we have such kinds of men parading themselves as priests.

Lastly, one thing I no for sure is that Jonathan has won his re-election, and Nigeria is becoming great. This is the making of history. For the first time in Nigeria we have someone (president) who fought the cabals (Oil, Nepa, Civil service, former military generals, heads of states, etc.) in power and defeated them. For the first time in Nigeria we have a president who is not seeking endorsement from the Mafias (Northern emirs, Past leaders, Business barons, governors forums, former and serving millitary generals, individuals and families like, the Yar-aduas, Obasanjos, IBBs, Tinubus, Babalakins, Bankoles Atikus, Ubas, Danjumas, Dantatas, Dangotes, Ibrus, etc.) to win his re-election, rather on the vote and will the commoners like me. This election will simply prove that Nigeria can move forward without any threat from any person, and its my hope that in Jonathan's second tenure he will begin to act decisively, and implement the agreements of the National conference.

I'm proud to be a Nigerian!
