hi @justwise or anybody with proper info...please I need clarity. I'm applying for a special visitor visa (short courses), I have my admission, paid the tuition. But the problem is accomodation. I intend staying with a friend who is on a Tier 4 visa, since the school doesn't provide accomodation for short courses. The friend lives in a rented flat and has a roommate. The short course is for 10 weeks. Now the issue here is would it raise any suspicion to the ECO or is it a must I stay with someone that has a proper job? P.S my dad is my sponsor.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site but I'm a big fan.
Now I had to join in order for me to ask this question.
I wanna visit the UK this April, I've read through the general visitors page but I need some clearance on the following points.

1) I work as an executive marketer for a pharmaceutical company ( just got promoted last month)

2) take home after tax is 150 but will be 200 this month end due to new salary.

3) I currently have 200 in my savings account which is my salary account as well

4) sometimes some lump sum ( like 500) gets to my account from hubby but it's not sitting in my account. I normally spend it all.

5) I'll be paid 100 for my leave allowance.

6) And recently my boss said I was due for some bonus ( huge amount like 200) cos she told me if I make up to10 million naira sale on a particular drug I'll get 2 % bonus .

Now my question is,
1)won't all this money be seen as money lodgement

2) what are the chances of the result being positive cos I plan on using hotel reservation cos all the uncles that can write invitation letter are saying they don't have good bank statement. .

I'll appreciate all of your response. Just wise and all. Thanks.

NB: my boss is willing to writ a letter concerning the bonus and leave allowance.

How much would be available for your trip and what would be the cash balance in your account upon application?

I don't think you can afford to travel now, you probably will be left with nothing after paying ticket let a lone hotel accommodation in the UK

Accommodation will be an issue, 10 weeks is a long time to be accommodated in a shared student flat.

Hi everyone.. Please I need some advice on how to go about a work training in the UK.
I have been working online with a UK company since 2013 and the CEO (a Brit) has offered me the chance of going over there for a few weeks on work training.
All this while I have been paid through Western Union only but the CEO is willing to show western union receipts, provide a letter of invitation for the training and also add a supporting letter from his accountant. I will also be accommodated in his residence for the duration. Please I'd like to know how I can go about getting a visa for this category of travel and what will be expected of me.
Mr Justwise kindly help, thanks a lot.
What you will need to proove is that you will return home after your visit.
The story at the moment with payment by WU. looks like some internet scam.
You will need a much better story and ties to home to stand a chance.

I'm sorry I didn't read your question properly....pardon me.
Amount I intend spending for this trip is 400.
I have 200 in my account now and will get 200 for this month salary and the bonus 200 making 600 upon application.
But I was informed by HR that my leave allowance won't be paid until after my leave. So is this okay?

Thanks for your reply Justwise ,but I'll be having 600 and I don't want to spend more than 400 , I'm getting only 3 weeks leave and I intend staying for 10 days.
How much do you think will be okay for this trip?
Nothing extravagant oo.
Thanks

The issue I foresee is convoluted financials. From your explanations it seems after factoring all the expense you would incur for your planned trip, your account would seem bare.
And their lays the problem. Not unless some financials amongst your request, I do not understand.

400k for a 10 day stay seems your salary for 2 months, not factoring your flight ticket(that would add additional 185k to your expense) 400+185 ......... Work it out and factor in all your present expenses, future expenses and this is how your financials post- pre trip are calculated.

Regardless of the length of time you used on the visa, reapplication can be undertaken upon expiration of the previous(you used the visa and did mot overstay).
A positive outcome is not always a guarantee. So submit your application, including all supporting documentation and keep your fingers crossed!!!

Ok thanks will do, I just hope they allow me to travel this time (when I probably get the visa) cos lastly the indicated that my dad should go with me.. But ill be 18 nxt year(april) so they were suggestions that I might be able to go alone

Your chances are slim, give yourself the next 6 months with your new salary range...spending 400k in 10days on your current bank balance is crazy.

Thanks again .

What I would personally suggest is, either you set a couple of months target, to get the bank statements up to a decent standard or apply jointly with your husband.

Thanks again Lexusgs430, I think I'll just wait for sometime as you suggested by then I'll have like 1m which is reasonable I guess.
Thanks for your time.....its much appreciated .
