That is a risky twist to it.

How much do you have in your business account?

No you don't if your transit is less than 24hrs and you are not leaving the airport

Thank you very much.

Those documents are good but i think they will take just the TB certificate and the application form and ask you to send the rest to SHEFFIELD.

So the best thing to do is to go with all the documents then they will take the ones that are needed in Nigeria and tell you what to do with the rest.

@justwise good morning, please what is the NHS fee about plus do i need it for my spouse visa application

The NHS surcharge is like healthcare insurance paid by anybody coming to the UK to stay more than 6months...students, work permit holders, spouses visa applicants etc...its £200 yearly but as soon as you get your ILR or British citizenship you stop paying it.

So if you are applying for 2yrs visa its £400.... refundable if your visa is refused

thanks a bunch.. please what other things should I take along.
I know I would be having about 1000 pounds cash. even though we stated lesser than that in the application. we stated about 840 pounds
Aside your visa-bearing passport, your return ticket, proof of accommodation and the money, any other thing that you bring in is for your personal purpose; nothing else is required of you: immigration and custom officers are not interested in what you did not bring into the country, they are only interested in what you bring in.

Hello Justwise, please kindly help me out here. Do I need to have a UK transit visa to fly on BA to the US in September?

Nop. Not all! I flew BA to US via UK early this year.

Just for the fun of it...... What is the process of getting a UK transit visa? I am not ready to apply for a UK tourist visa as I have been refused too many times for my ego and my main destination is the US.

Good day, completed my online application for UK visit visa today and I am having difficulties with payment. It keeps coming back unsuccessful. Is there any other means of payment and how long does it take for passports to get back.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 5:43pm On Aug 08, 2015
I used my credit card and PAGA the two times I applied.

You really don't need a UK Transit visa if you re flying to US.

The process of getting d UK tourist visa remains d same as you have done in the past; fill form online, pay, book appointment and go submit+ do biometrics. The thing is for u to address the reasons u were refused and make sure ur circumstances hv changed since prev applications...if you want to apply again. Have u checked to see if u were banned.

Iberia are a Spanish airline which has merged with British airways, they are not the best airline in line with the planes of BA or that of virgin.

Its more the cost, Iberia offer really low priced flights compared to many other airlines...but far better than Arik air,

http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews7871.html

the reviews are not great, but i know people who have used them and said it was fine, just not to expect a service which Virgin/BA offer

I personally Live in the UK and each time I want to come to Nigeria to see my hubby I pay approx £800 for my flight and then pay about £300 for my own visa (on each visit) , so in all I need £1100 before I start, so of course when I saw that with Iberia, my flight and visa would be less than buying just a flight ticket with Virgin, its a no brainer for me

its definitely worth giving them a go, what have you to lose? Depending on the flight you choose you can get really good connection times too.

The review on Iberia is very discouraging but i checked Qatar and Lufthansa review and its almost the same thing meanwhile i know Qatar to be a good airline.

I think i will rather pay extra and fly with Lufthansa or Air France cos i might need to change my return date.

Yes, I opened a PAGA acct/wallet. Then paid into PAGA collection account, after wch PAGA credited my wallet wt d amount. So I logged onto the visa application website and clicked pay wt PAGA (from dos options) and paid. It went instanta!

If u want to use PAGA, I advise u pay into PAGA collection account in d same back u will be transferring from. I mean, if u hv an acct in Diamond bank, den transfer money from ur DB acct to PAGA' s account in Diamond bank. When I transferred from my DB acct to PAGA's acct in GTB, I waited for more dan 24hrs, it wasn't funny ooo. I called customer care for complaints. The next time I transferred from my DB acct to PAGA's acct in DB, my wallet was credited within few mins.

Tho I prefer using my credit card for visa payment

you can change your return on any airline dependent on the ticket you buy, you just need to make sure you select the flexible economy, bare in mind all airlines impose penalties for any changes, I book flights and deal with exchanges on a daily basis, Business and first class are the only tickets that only allow one change without penalty.

Also don't assume if you purchase a non flexible on your outbound flight but a flexible on the return, that you can change a flight, since the most restrictive airline rules applies, so make sure both segments are flexible.

I hope this helps smiley

If you just have a visa that allows you to stay in the UK, I believe you may still need a Schengen visa unless you have become a British Citizen, I'm sure someone else will quote me if I am wrong.

check here for the Schengen visa

You should have explained that large deposit because its always an issue especially when you do it closer to your application.
Not adding documents to support your daughter's application is a mistake, i don't know what the Tls officers was thinking

@ justwise @ ogreene, iblaw... Please what should the content of the cover letter look like?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 7:05am On Aug 09, 2015
It shud contain everything you feel you need to explain, starting wt addressing d last refusal and providing more info supporting ds new application, be very convincing and polite. Don't try to be defensive, mention the strong points you have to back up ds application. Write it like a formal letter. I typed mine sha

I also mentioned my itinerary, how d expenses will go, that I hv booked a hotel in London, and hv gotten my leave from work approved, wch can be seen in d doc I submitted. Anything you say, if u hv a doc for it, put in bracket beside it that dey can refer to so so so document u hv attached. I ended by saying I hv no intention of staying back der or working der, dat am available for an interview either to provide more docs or for more enquiries if they so desire.

This is wot I did, others own might be diff.

The truth is that while most of the inflows are genuine, prior to my wife's application there was a 500k deposit into our joint account with detail : Mr X refund 4/04/2015. We actually made a withdrawal on the 4/04/2015. And to boost d balance in our joint, we made a deposit of 500k with the detail of deposit above. Making the deposit to show like a refund.
Now that she was refused base on not providing source of fund, we intend to reapply explain the sources of other inflows. And for the 500 we intend to explain that it was withdrawn in April to buy property but due to the price review by the seller to 550k, the 500k was refunded. Letter from a property seller on price review will be attached.
The only concern I have is that the refund cash deposit 500k occurred in july 8th and on that same day, the outflow of 550k occurred. The statement submitted only showed the 500k refund.

I know we goofed for cooking the 500k deposit but what do you guyz advice?

He can apply for renewal at the UK embassy, and how long it would take will depend on circumstances even though there are official time frames
