thought you said that market was not good .
I guess those computer village guys are seeing something we are not seeing..maybe that is why they are business men and we are not...about this market being the most modern market is it going to be more modern that aba mall...by the way who they keep quoting 5b dollars for that egbema industrial park? Do they know what 5b dollars is?

I wish this market should be sited in onitsha or Aba. Mgbidi is not a commercial area and scattering of markets everywhere in igboland is not good.

I wish Igbos should make Anambra and Abia there industrial and commercial capital where Enugu and Owerri will be for offices and service firms, agriculture, tourism, education, medical and leisures.

Which market will Mgbidi serve situating inbetween Onitsha and Aba, these two commercial centers must have blocked the customers from the South South States and some Northern States. Even Onitsha computer market is expanding seriously.

Imo and Enugu should jettison markets, Mgbidi is a bad choice for the market.

Let's know what others will say.

Do we not have Nkwerre people here to post the pictures of that town? That town is one of the best places in Igbo land likewise ndi Mbano (out ocha people) impressed with the road connections in Orlu axis (Amucha and Eziachi) and some neighboring towns, though the Orlu Anambra roads needs reconstrustion and dualisation,me think its a federal road.

I think it depends on the amt of money circulating in the east...the more money circulating the more demand for goods and services..if money generating outfits increases the more the disposable income and as that increases their is likely hood that single or even double market source might not be enough any longer..at least this is not a govt project (the estate firm in charge of building this market built aspamda)so the firm should have done its analysis..now for those computer village guys to buy into these just maybe there is something they I do not know....moreover you wrote anambra and abia as commercial areas while Enugu and owerri as service and leisure areas..well owerri is not the whom Imo state..economic activities have to take place in other parts of Imo too..like someone said in the Enugu thread there exists building material market in nsukka that is bigger than the Dei Dei market in abuja

Those who see me as mouthpiece of Government are suffering from astigmatism. I only simply write the truth and I am very enlightened thats all.

BTW I thought Mgbidi was in Orlu or is your own Orlu different?

Earlier I wrote: The proposed mega-market in Mgbidi is on the recently-built Onitsha-Owerri road. It is highly welcome.

I insinuated: but hopefully, IMSG under Okorocha shall not sacrifice the International market in Orlu for that - given the record of Okorocha's govt in Orlu.
So why did you state that you thought Mgbidi was in my own Orlu?

Astigmatism
Abeg climb down to NL level. Even when I consulted the dictionary, I still needed a Physicist that specializes in Light to explain the dictionary definition of astigmatism.

I will like to know your definition of Orlu. Is it Orlu LGA or Orlu group of people or Orlu zone? Why I am asking is because whatever is done in any part by Government belongs to all of Orlu until you specify if its Amaifeke or Umuaka or Nkwerre or Amaigbo or Mgbidi or Awo or Umuna or Akokwa or Umuowa or Amucha or Ekwe or Nempi or Ihitenasa or Uruala or Mgbee or Eziachi or umuzike or Atta or Okporo or Umuhu Okabia or Obinugwu or Ihiteowerri or Ogberuru or Isiokpo or Isiekenesi or Osina or hundreds of other towns.

The market won't be that viable because Aba and Onitsha have established themselves in the minds of customers all over Africa.
They should have build it in one of the two cities because I wouldn't see any reason where a customer from Benin City will come to Onitsha to buy wares from there enter another vehicle going to Mgbidi to buy computer accessories.

The company is myopic, they should have leverage on the successes of Aba and Onitsha and establish their business there.

Okay that market Nnamani built at 9th mile up till now nobody is occupying the place, even the project was abandoned halfway because nobody saw any economic importance of it when there is Ogbete, New Market and Kenyatta Market in Enugu.

Mgbidi should be industrial outpost of Owerri, Aba and Onitsha just like Shagamu, Agbara and ota are offshots of Lagos industrial clusters.

You don't need market at Mgbidi because Aba and Onitsha will stifle her of customers. What Mgbidi need is industrial estate and hotels because of the lorry drivers.

well it is for the private firm to worry about..they wpuld be the one to lose if there are no buyers and customers..i would have been more worried if it was govt building it

Nna men, you know Orlu very well - I am very happy with you. You do some good jobs even some Imo people wouldn't do...

I said it earlier, it shall be hard to get anybody from Owerri who has been to Orlu before, talk less, recount communities in Orlu area like you did. Why? Because every thing Imo state has is in Owerri. So some one from Owerri has no need to visit Okigwe or Orlu areas for anything

Rochas Okorocha became governor and worsened the situation. Do you ever see any Owerri guy on NL or anywhere criticizing Okorocha government? Hard to see. This is because Okorocha nearly reduced Imo state to Owerri.

Nwanne bone that thing. You have to know that trade and industries are related. You can't talk about industries without having the markets where the outputs would be discharged. Mgbidi is a good site based on its location. Even if it serves only the people of Mgbidi it is okay. Nnewi is some miles off Onitsha yet the traders there are making it big time. My dear great things start small.

Another investment this time from people like me who trully love Igboland and not the Jonathanians hell bent of making Igbos victims of what they are innocent of.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aigsdNI2VZ8

I'm loving the level of investments pouring into Imo State in the past 3 months of Buhari's admin and Okorocha's 2nd tenure which has run into billions of Dollars. I don't expect wicked TANoids to acknowledge it but the icing on the cake is when our various highways deliberately neglected by past regime are gradually tackled.

God bless Okorocha

God bless every Igboman that puts our interest and Nigerian interest ahead of Jonathans failed wicked regime

God bless these diasporan Igbos who found it wiser to save lives by investing heavily in health sector instead of paying Nnamdi Kanu to create enemity and another massacre of innocent Igbos.

abagoro/Abagworo,

I can bet that you are not Igbo. What "another massacre" are you insinuating?
Look, Nigeria is a signatory to the UN. So any fiam - any massacre of unarmed innocent people - whoever is on top in Nigeria goes to The Hague to face justice.

Scottish people even went to Downing Street to campaign/clamour for independent Scotland from Britain.

The massacre is the end result of the way radio Biafra is broadcasting. Instead of it to be calling for Igbos to return home and invest which will see gradual reduction of our population in other parts of Nigeria, it rather broadcast hate words that will lead to a clash with our host communities. The end is the rest of Nigeria as usual uniting to kill Igbos like chicken.

Attack is the end product of hate speeches. Has any Igbo attacked any Nigerian anywhere? What are u insinuating? You kill yourselves - not Igbos; no Igbo in the process of asking for Biafra has attacked any Nigerian. Igbos don't hate other Nigerians. Any Radio or whatever has not made Igbo hate other Nigerians. Instead, some Nigerians like you who believe they cannot survive without Nigerdelta oil say somebody is preaching hatred against them.

I'm from Niger Delta Igbo myself so I gain more from oil if that is the issue. The issue is the hate speech against Hausa, Yoruba and the entire North and Southwest by radio Biafra. The worst is the claim of other peoples land like Iguocha and other minority area surrounding Igboland. Meanwhile majority of your people are living there.

The "radio Biafra" I will support is the one that will

1) preach Igbo unity

2) Encourage Igbos to locate their business headquatres in Igboland

3) Encourage good leadership

4) Condemn tribalism and religious intolerance

5) Allow Niger Deltans be and stop the disgusting attache by force.

6) Preach against get rich quick syndrome

7) Embark on scholarship scheme for brainy Igbis from poor background

Let me stop at this 7 as the list is endless.

This hospital is the greatest thing Igbos will collectively do since we built the Imo Airport. If we work together we can build the 2nd Niger bridge in 6 months without all these 30 years of insult from IBB, Obasanjo and Jonathan.

I don't like how they have kept using it as political blackmail against us. Hopefully Buhari will build it and I will agree with you but if not then it remains the same old politics.

You are most disgusting mor.on on this forum. Idiotic jackasses such as you are minnows that come to public arena looking for sense when you lacked intellectual pedigree to indulge. Majority of so-called idiotic Ikwerre peeps have loudly stated they are not Igbo but from Idu. Why would a sensible Igbo son or daughter inject imbecilic Ikwerre dialect into a serious discussion pertaining to Igbo? Your silly types bring to mind why the zoo called Nigeria is found in awkward predicament.

You must be declared a persona non grata in Igbo land for writing the above crap. The originator of hate speech against Ndigbo are moronic dumbasses from northern region of Nigeria. If you do not like the speeches from Radio Biafra, I suggest you haul your imbecilic self out of Igbo land instead of taking a hypocritical high road formerly reserved for efulefu.

Heard from unreliable source that it belongs to Okorocha's daughter. Well if it does I bear no grudge since its in Owerri. If found funded with State funds, then they will have to pay back or lose it in nearest future. What I hate is investing outside Igboland.
