I have attached 2 letters from lekki Gardens mgt on electricity reconnection to the national grid after court order and NERC ruling were served on them. Victory at last.

I crave your indulgence . I don't see this as any form of victory at all. It will only lead to hardship and serious pollution in the estate. I am a home owner and I hope the residents know they have made a grave mistake with the disconnection of the electricity. It wasn't funny at all to have your neighbor run generator while you are trying to sleep or think.

When It all started in december, I had to move my family to a hotel for the rest of our stay when they cut off electricity. I am deeply hurt and sad. I need to put my home up for rent asap.

I was renting in 1004 and I can tell you we were paying more than that on electricity . Farapark pays #55/KW(enjoys 24hrs), Calton Gate pays 70/KW(they don't have 24hrs electricity)

These are the things I don't understand. A company is ripping you off, and instead of you to seek redress, you start blaming those who do so simply because you can afford to pay their exorbitant charges. Look at 1004 estates. People are moving out everyday, mostly due to the high service charges. The residents also took the managers of the estate to court at one point in time, over different issues.

How many people live in Farapark?? More than one-third of the estate is still unoccupied many years after it has been fully completed. I know so many folks who have sold their flats in there, plus the fact that it is so far from town and they have to go through horrible Ajah traffic to get there.

Guy, please get off your high horse. People want value for money. C'est fini. If the charges for electricity were only like 10% - 15% higher than the rates from the Disco, no one would complain. People who earn their money through honest, hard work do not like being ripped off.

Just across from these LG Horizon estates is Richmond Gate Estate by Haven Homes, I understand the likes of Tuface, AY comedian, Iyanya and some Mavin crew members are staying there

The cost of homes in Richmond Gate are like twice or thrice the cost of homes, in Lekki Gardens.

hmmmmm; all these intimidations and oppressions from Richard Nyong is NOT the way to do business at all. It seems Richard Nyong got his business model wrong somewhere and is trying BY ALL MEANS to make money/ profit and as such has resorted to intimidation, corruption, use of force, manipulation, deception, lies etc. Trust me, he's getting away with it because of our broken system.

That is not entirely true.

Semi-detached 5 bedroom duplex in LG New Horizon 2 is about 50 Million naira, a 4 bedroom maisonette on 3 floors at Richmond Gate is 55 Million Naira.

Fully detached at LG New Horizon 2 sold for about 70 million, while the only fully detached unit at Richmond Gate with about 7 rooms with a visitor's suite, fully finished with steam bath and all the trimmings sold for 95 million naira...
