Schematics:Boastful lines indeed! I see the insults as a byproduct of weakness, so i prefer to ignore such especially if it comes from a fellow Igboman on this forum. Just as i told Chino sometime ago, you guys should lay low. Each state in our part of this world is abundantly blessed, but as it is in all federal settings, we shall all develope gradually. An Igbo adage says "onu na ebe akwa, imi esoro ya na ebe"! |

You don't seems to understand my point. I don't have any problem with you nor your state, go up on this thread and see where it all started. I only commented based on what some of your people posted earlier about 2pages backward. Do a little search up there. Let us be mindful of our comments. Nightshift: |

Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by sunny80: 9:39am On May 29, 2017 |
we are the architect of our own problem..when chimaroke was there as a governor ,most of those fighting his government were all nkanu people...they encouraged other parts of Enugu to rebel against his government...at the end the man became confuse and lose focus..... Nkanu man told other people that chimaroke was insane including all his family members....nkanu man funded a group of opposition fighting chimaroke`s government..i havent seen where brothers ganged up against one of their own except in Nkanuland...when chime was governor, udi people supported and encouraged him...nsuka people are now doing the same with ugwuanyi...the irony of it all,is that you will never see any nkanu man raising his voice to complain of marginalization when other people are there.. when chimaroke was governor..he did three major roads across the three senatorial roads..{opi/nsuka road..agwu/ndiabor road..agbani amagunze road} all these roads i mentioned have all been rehabilitated and upgraded expect the agbani /amagunze road.why the hatred towards nkanu people?nkanu people should learn to appreciate their own,,we need to put our house in order... Prof.Barth Nnaji `s power station in aba is currently facing serrious problem not from any other person but from his own brother an nkanu man in connivance with emeka offor.. ITUKU does not own 80% of the land where UNTH is located ..the name still remain (ituku/ozalla) ..Ozalla seems to own greater part of the land.. relocation of Esut from enugu urban to agbani/obe/amurri/obofia ...The relocation was in order,..the relocation was within the same zone and the city needs to be de-congested... |

sunny80: I have said this before on this platform, that Nike(Nkanu people actually) , male up a huge part of Enugu metropolis including the north. While Udi contributed Camp area, New market side, etc. Ogui ,Asata, Obiagu, Njemanze, etc are all parts of Nike land and Enugu north. I don't know who contributed Independence layout, Ekulu, GRA, New Haven though. But I can say that Udi and Nkanu contributed to the City . Finally Nkanu is vast. Enugu south, East, North, and the core Nkanu hinterlands |

sunny80: I am aware of the Nike compostion in Enugu north, but when you have the whole of Coal camp, Asata mine road down to Depot, Mgbemena, Ogbete market areas, New market areas till miliken hills, GRA, and up till Onoh quarters, Golf estates all being claimed by Ngwo, you cannot help but agree that Ngwo has a lot of grounds in Enugu north. What do you think about that? |

I used to hear my Dad then say he went to enugu ngwo, it was later I got to know that nkanu owns greater part of enugu |

sunny80:I have read you, let me tell you that the reconstruction of agwu ndeabor road was done by ekweremadu and I ask you if you don't have a senator representing you to do the ozalla amagunze road. Let me also remind you that Agwu (Ituku) provided more land than Ozalla |
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by spyder880(m): 6:48pm On May 29, 2017 |
sunny80: Bro, I think Independence layout, Ogui (Ogui Nike) and Abakpa are all Nike/Nkanu parts of Enugu. Legend has it that Nike is the elder brother of Nkanu. Ekulu on the other hand is on Ngwo side of Enugu. There was an old man who told me a story one day, he told me Ngwo used to occupy all the expanse of land now called Trans Ekulu, till the last war was fought a long time who where Nike people chased Ngwo people across the Ekulu river. I don't know how authentic the story is though. |

InyinyaAgbaOku:Lol, but one of your brothers here is claiming that Enugu city should not be considered as Nkanu and crying about some remote villages as if such places does not exist in other zones, seems Nkanu remains the largest beneficiary in Enugu state then |
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by igwebuike01: 8:31pm On May 29, 2017 |
I thought Nike people are distinct people, i am surprise hearing that they Nkanu sub group. well they own a large part of Enugu, but Enugu was primarily Ngwo (Udi) land but the Udi hill could not allow expansion into Udi hinterlands, thereby pushing developments towards Nike and other Nkanu lands |

ckenneths:Abuja is not in South East but Enugu city is in Nkanu land. how can you claim marginalization when you host the capital that takes lion share of all infrastructures? |

Nightshift:In that case, Nkanu man (Jim Nwobodo) terminated the establishment of UNTH in Nsukka and took it to his Nkanu home. So what then is the complains of Nkanu people here |

Afam4eva:But he should understand that same condition applies to all agrarian local governments, he makes it look like his people are targeted |
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 8:56pm On May 29, 2017 |
igwebuike01:He hasn't said that his people are targeted and he's aware that his community is not alone but he has to fight for his own. Though we all know the government cannot construct roads everywhere but there's no harm in ringing in the ears of whoever cares to listen. For instance, i'm from Enugu-south LGA but there's nothing wrong with me complaining about the neglect of my village in particular (Amechi-Uwani). 4 Likes |
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by igwebuike01: 9:17pm On May 29, 2017 |
Afam4eva:you really need to go through the thread and stop trying to be his mouthpiece. we really need to evolve away from this village thing. Cities and satellite towns should be mapped out in every zone and given utmost priority. Your Nkanu brothers should stop comparing their villages to Nsukka town too. Nsukka town is equivalent to Enugu city apart from Enugu's status as state capital. The way you have Nomeh, we have numerous communities in Uzo uwani LGA too that are disconnected. Resources are limited and there must be prioritazation |
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 9:22pm On May 29, 2017 |
igwebuike01:Except you're a learner, you'll know that he has been complaining for some years now. it did not start today. You're the one needs to open up your mind and entertain different opinions because it seems to me that you want to shut him up. He has the right to complain even if his father is Chimaroake Nnamani. It's your prerogative to overlook his complaints if it unsettles you. 6 Likes |

Afam4eva:Check this out, pay attention to the underlined. Is the section of the state he is complaining about in the same category with his village? Is his own section of the state not the highest beneficiary in the State? Even if he want to complain about his village why always dragging with somewhere that is not mate with his village?

. spyder880: I really wish Nnamani had won that election. Gil Nnaji is as ineffectual as he is inconspicuous. It constantly puzzles me how that man was re-elected to represent an area as sophisticated and diverse as Enugu East. Whatever little (town halls and youth 'development' centers) he has achieved has been in his native Nikeland. We at Isi Uzo have benefited nothing from Gil's over 10 years in the upper house, and I'm sure the situation is the same in Nkanu. So laid back that Ekweremadu is even more popular than he (Gil) is in his (Gil's) own constituency. A part of me swells with anger whenever Gil is mentioned too often. Dear Gil Nnaji, Three-time senator representing Enugu East, Isi Uzo and Nkanu have yet to feel your impact. The Obollo-Ikem-Eha Amufu-Nkalagu(Ebonyi) Road is a federal road in your constituency, and while the Obollo-Ikem section has been done by your Enugu North counterpart, you couldn't be bothered about the Ikem-Eha Amufu-Nkalagu section, thus the Federal College of Education, Eha Amufu has remained inaccessible for a decade, under your watch. Eha Amufu, a once thriving agrarian railroad town, has turned into a backwater area where no one wishes to visit, and you couldn't be bothered about that either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-__eVwvyfk |
