What kills battery faster is; if you're always pressing and charging the phone at the same time... The epileptic light conditions in Nigeria has really taught a lot of us poor charging habits.

Whenever I start charging my Gionee M5 Mini, and switch it off so as to charge faster, the battery percentage would skyrocket immediately. Even today, the battery percentage jumped from 29% to 55% when I switched it off. It drains faster than it should everytime such thing happens. Please help me

The battery is bad. It needs to be replaced. If it is inbuilt battery and you want to replace it yourself, let me know here. I will show you how to replace it.
