swimming is so refreshing, learnt in 2011 and I try to go every weekend...and the more you swim, the more you improve.. tried swimming at the beach though, wasn't so pleasant, i need to learn how to swim in moving water ![]() |
lovely picture.. wow, this is a man at peace with himself and his family.. :d funny thing is, Buhari's kids probably chill like this too abroad.. na only blind nairaland supporters dey sleep for inside darkness, use our poor health and educational systems support good governance and not politicians.. APC and PDP na the same imo |
Benue state governor (and other middle belt governors ) are joining other 'Northern ' governors to defend the Fulani .. shame |
UNIBENDON:see fallacies.. most cancer patients die due to the effects of their cancers, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and surgery etc are still the gold standard of cancer treatment.. chemotherapy like other drugs has side effects but it is still the best chance for cancer patients and not herbal concoctions on a personal note, I've seen a lot of breast cancer px who picked up lumps early but wasted time using natural remedies and by the time they came to the hospital, the cancer was too far gone.. he who has ears should hear |
let him enjoy his hustle.. the day he's sentenced to death/prison for drug offences/fraud we won't be there ![]() |
like soursop like moringa, charlatans everywhere are taking advantage of people. you see so many people that come with late stage cancers due to time wasted taking herbal medications.. soursop or any herbal therapy should not replace chemotherapy, surgery or any other orthodox cancer therapies, time is life when it comes to cancers for the ladies.. pls inculcate the habit of self breast examination, it saves lives |
Africans and their wrong priorities sha, this same Uganda has one of the highest rates of infant and maternal mortality in the world, one of the highest rates of poverty etc.. instead of spending the money on improving these things, na porn detecting software be the next thing.. |
Adebola02:0gbeni.. there's no crisis in OAU |
What she did was wrong, but then we need to ask ourselves why she would behave like that? From her skin, i guess she is one of those migrant workers in Kuwait where for a lot of expat workers , conditions of service are only marginally better than slavery , so I'm not surprised. Lesson is, don't maltreat your domestic workers, they are humans too.. i hope they don't jail her sha |
GogetterMD:yeah, i agree with you and we don't even know what led to the RTA.. they might have even had their seatbelts on.. just wanted to create awareness about seatbelts on passenger buses, noticed that the vast majority of buses don't have seatbelts for passengers |
akuracy:LOL.. nope, everything is back online sha |
Wow.. what a loss , may God grant their soul repose and console their families.. and doctors too can rally round their familiesI think its high time seatbelt usage in buses is enforced |
Still driving my first car which is an auto golf 3, i must say its one of the best decisions I've made..its been reliable over the years and the maintenance is so pocket friendly. The only drawback is the gear which slips occassionly but hey, this is a 20-year old car and I've gotten a way around it Would i buy Volkswagen again? yes absolutely |
op your question is not so clear... a consultant can also become a professor, if his/her hospital has an attached medical school the entry salary of most consultants is around 450k and they start at lecturer 2/1 there are so many factors that determine what professors and consultants earn (experience, 'outside consulting', speciality etc) hence we may not be able to compare them en bloc |
same thing here, mtn deducted more than
a 2GB last week without any explanation,

subscribed for a new 2500 smartphone

Money good oh.. that's the lesson from the relationship, i guess the babe is feeling the 'financial effects' of the breakup.. hence the desperation to get back with him If i were the guy, na permanent red card oh.. lol, else the girl will kill me one of these days.. and as a loaded guy, good women (or at least desirable women) can never be in short supply :d |
fabricated story imo... a chaperone is usually of the same sex with the client(patient ) and no doctor will ask you to chaperone without ascertaining your relationship with the client. whenever a doctor wants to perform an examination on your intimate parts, always ask for a chaperone.. it is your right |
heartbreaking story.. some men are animals sha.. i hope he's punished within the full ambits of the law i hope women also learn from her, love/marriage is not by force.. its better to be alone than being with someone that abuses you, countless women have died from abuse who desperation don epp? |
firstolalekan:fam.. i think you are mistaken, in most schools in the south west here the proportion of males to females in medical school is greater than 70:30, in the favour of males.. in fact for most residencies there are far more males than females.. and the situation is worse in the north interestingly, O and G is not a female-friendly speciality, its soo demanding esp for women with young families, so there are far more male obstetrician-gynecologists |
hopefully, this will draw government's attention towards the health sector... thought RNs and BNscs were one under Johesu sha.. |
lovely.. can't believe that she's still this beautiful after 2 children.. i hope her husband realizes the gem he has sha.. in time |
More than 90% of responses were actually castigating the OP.. wow, how do we expect the country to move forward? .. Nigeria is truly a nation of cheats. Change has to start from within, and has to start from 'small issues' like this. Would you want a doctor that cheated through school to treat you/your relative ? |
still can't believe a woman as beautiful as her is being serial cheated upon.. this life na pot beans folks ![]() Will she make those excuses for her philandering husband if he was dead broke? Probably not.. money good is good folks, and the man has an eye for drop-dead beauties :d (y) consolation is that her husband takes very good care of here, better to cry in Paris than to cry in the house of a dead-ass guy.. Most men cheat anyway She sounds so hurt, i hope she continues to hold her sh!t together, at least for the sake of her children |
well, its just a political statement that cannot work in reality.. until our government invest massively in the health sector and we have quality health insurance.. there's no free lunch anywhere |
What a waste... Nigerians will beat ordinary goat/phone thieves to death but will hail/defend corrupt politicians.. *sighs* (not saying stealing is okay though |
mine was in secondary school... had a collision with an opposing player while playing soccer, landed awkwardly and broke my right femur.. spent a month in hospital, then 2 weeks on 2 crutches and another 2 weeks using a single crutch .. the pain was madddddd.. helps me understand what patients are going through sha ![]() |
So much hate.. choi All i see are beautiful ladies that are still managing to keep it together.. damn age or body shape. Checked a few dps (of the bashers)... na the pot of beans looking people dey complain pass, better pray that God picks your own call If your words won't improve the silence, please keep quiet. |
interesting thread and an eye opener i must say especially for "us young guns" thanks Chief for pushing out this so that Nigerians can see what doctors go through everyday.. judging from comments, it seems 1. Nigerians are not realistic, they will bandy the Hippocratic oath about, yet they won't sit with you to fathom out ways of getting clients to pay.. same people will increase their prices if they get to know you are a doc 2. there's no way you can win when its comes to public opinion, detain patients for not paying bills, they will come to social media to demonize doctors (seen a couple of nairaland threads), demand for money before payment, na wahala.. more social media threads.? refer patients because you think they need specialist care, they will still blame you.. yet if something should go wrong, they won't hesitate to sue your ass and collect the little you have 3. a guy has to really be firm,if he/she wants to survive in private practice, its not the fault of doctors if Nigerians are comfortable with successive governments irresponsibility towards health Nobody's blood is on anybody's hands, afterall folks will buy S7s and iphone 6s yet won't plan for their own healthcare, people will see government's lackluster emergency services and are not bothered .. we are all responsible to/for ourselves e go better! |
nice! i don't really see why this is making news though.. That's the job of medical corpsmen |
Wow , extremely sad and gory.. Jesus should just come soon, tired of African leaders. For those bashing doctors : Is it the fault of the hospital? probably not.. i guess their healthcare system is a broken as Nigeria's, where most interventions are still directly paid for by the patient and one would not expect doctors and other healthcare workers to pay for patients treatment from their own pockets. Griding poverty, poor leadership (and a lack of health insurance) has lead to the avoidable deaths of 3 people. The government can be mandated to set aside money for the treatment of the very indigent to prevent cases like this. |
Innocence stolen. Its the same sad narrative each and every time, wtf is the Nigerian embassy in Libya doing? they've chosen to collect money from these traffickers and look the other way I guess. The grinding poverty in Nigeria has created a readily available 'victim supply' for these traffickers, everyone wants to get out of Nigeria and most people are ignorant about visa requirements etc. I think we (NGOs/Government agencies/private individuals) need to sensitize more people about human trafficking etc Who will save our women? |

, may God grant their soul repose and console their families.. and doctors too can rally round their families
