Beremx:Do you really mean this? |
EMMY76:Share with us nah. Although, I think that house rats are better than lizards for human consumption. |
Sometimes, the truth can become too bitter that everyone rejects it. Yet, only truth can set us free. A Nairalander named SUFFERInSMILIIN says that the major problem with Nigeria is that we weren't trained enough by the British before we attained Independence. For her, that's why we have been messing things up since then. So, she suggests returning the country to colonial rule. She says that if the British people were still in-charge, Nigeria would have been better than Canada and Australia by now. I need people to look maturely into this and say what they think.

mightyhazel:Say what? That they don't look all that WHAT? These kids look very hungry nah. |
As usual, it is turned into an opportunity for inter-regional quarrels as if any region is spared. There are issues that we should leave out of our inter-regional politicking.

Which tribe in Nigeria eats lizards? This photo here was shared online showing hungry-looking kids roasting lizards for food. The poster claims they are kids from a region in Nigeria. I've never heard that there's any Nigerian tribe that eats lizards. So, this must be a clear example of the level of food crisis troubling the country now. The government and everyone really need to do something about it before it gets out of hand. SEE ALSO: How To Buy Food Items Extremely Cheap Anywhere In Nigeria.

SUFFERInSMILIIN:You'd be more mature if you try to give SOLUTIONS in every situation instead of being an arm-chair critic. You cannot be criticizing only but never giving any solution and you expect people to take you seriously. |
crazygod:Everywhere in the world, leaders get projected based on their antecedents AS INDIVIDUALS. Manifestos belong to POLITICAL PARTIES, not to individuals. So, if you judge based on just manifestos, it means that only one party will continue to lead every country forever. But it's not so only because individual records are considered side by side with the party whose flag the candidate ends up carrying. So, YOUR opinion is very much needed. Thanks. |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:Are you saying that we are doomed to be FOREVER under bad leaders? Please, that's pessimism taken to a breaking point. There must be a way out of the quagmire. And if there is a way, there must be someone to lead the way. Even if we are all shitholes as you seem to be suggesting, one of us must be the BEST of the shitholes IN YOUR OWN VIEW. |
GOTVee:Thanks for trying to make peace. But there are things you are missing: 1. Arabic is the language of Islam but English is not the language of Christianity. The language of Christianity could be Hebrew, Greek or Latin but not English. 2. English is used on the Naira because, since Britain colonized us, English is our lingua franca. 3. Nigeria is a secular state. So, there should be no any indication of having a religious language on our common currency. 4. You said that it doesn't matter but it does. This is part of a grand scheme that we should not allow. That's how insightful people kept pointing out the dangers of open grazing but people like you kept saying that it doesn't matter. Now, everyone can see that it has mattered all the while. Christianity doesn't say we should allow our rights to be trampled upon. Jesus himself opposed the forces of unfairness in society and politics. |
crazygod:So, who's the PARTICULAR youth you want? |
Davash222:Sorry to sound like this but this attitude you have shown is one of the reasons we are where we are. How can you say 'ANYONE'? There is no way it can be anyone. If 'ANYONE' becomes the President now, we'd begin to regret it all over. Are we not tired of experimenting with our destinies and the future of our children in this place? Please, have a choice. And please stop attempting to start a political fight by using such a word as 'Tinubu'. Let's be serious with our lives for once instead of always whining like kids that leaders are not doing well when we could have played our little roles to get leadership right. In case you haven't realized it, one of the reasons that I started this threat is to be able to sample opinions and develop a data source that can be used to influence the course of events towards 2023. |
As the hardship bites harder on Nigerians, everyone is complaining. No food, no fuel, no this , no that. Even many of those who voted for Buhari in 2015 and 2019 are now saying they regret the decision. People like , helinues, and Omenka, for example, no longer seem to be die-hard Buharists - at least, not like before. So, it's clear they may be saying 'hard I known' in their minds but are too ashamed to admit it. Sorry if I seem to be insinuating anything you may not like here. Why am I saying all these things anyway? This is why: Many times, we complain about the problems in the country. But I think we can do things differently and better this time by turning that complaining energy into genuine change energy. After all, when we get our leadership wrong, everybody suffers it, including the leaders and their supporters themselves (since they are embarrassed by a bad reputation everywhere they go). For instance, when the President of Nigeria got called "lifeless" by now-embattled President Trump, there is no way you would tell me that both Buhari and every Buharist didn't get pains in their hearts then. I'm just using this to show you all why we should stop politicking with getting leadership right in Nigeria since we ALL suffer the effects of bad leadership one way or another. Even worse, if we don't do something to really turn the tide now, we are going to carry over our suffering to our children as Aisha Yesufu would say. So, can we start something now? Say YOUR OWN choice of ONE PERSON you know who is more qualified to be Nigeria's President than anyone else with effect from May 29, 2023 FOR OUR COUNTRY TO ATTAIN ITS FULLEST POTENTIAL AT THE SHORTEST TIME. Please, let's take this seriously. Please, please, please. NOTE: I advise each of us to try as much as possible not to see what others commented before we comment ours. Let's see if a personality that no one is thinking about can get thrown up. Thank you.

BadBradley:Yes, that's why I took time to explain that it is not only money that you can be scammed out of. You can be scammed out of other values as well. |
A scam is not only when someone takes your money. It is also when someone takes other values away from you in order to use it to achieve an aim for himself. For instance, if you are a director of a company and someone hacks into your official email account, the person may not take your money but he could take something out of your reputation by using the email account to defraud one of your clients. As you can see, it could even be better for you that someone takes your money than taking your business reputation. Also, I have seen people using the picture of an accident victim to defraud other people online. He/she would tell you to send some money to an account no matter how small. He/she would pray for you in advance, saying something like "as you help me, you can never be a victim of an accident this Christmas Season". Then, she would add, "even if you cannot give anything, at least, share this to help me". When you share, you have helped his/her crime to succeed. I know you wouldn't like that to be you. So, he/she has scammed you actually in a very big way just by making you share the scam post. Do you know how many more people who would get to read and fall for it just because you tapped the 'SHARE' icon in split seconds? It means that the scam artist is using you to smile to the banks very fatly. In one of those cases, the guy whose picture was being used for the scam even made a comment, posting his other pictures to prove that he was the real person. He also placed a curse on the scam artist using his predicament to scam people. BUT, SURPRISINGLY, PEOPLE KEPT ON SHARING THE SCAM MESSAGE just because the scam artist played on their emotions. People even continued to make comments after the comment where the original owner of the photo complained. WHAT TO DO? I am not saying that people shouldn't express their pious emotions by helping other people who are in need. I like helping too. But, we should be careful lest we are USED by unscrupulous people to achieve their sinister intentions. One of the red flags in such a scam is that the scam artist will not include his/her physical address. Someone who is genuinely in need would like to include a physical address where people can come to meet him/her with any help they have. In some cases, the scam artists might be daring enough to just place some unexisting physical address there, hoping that nobody would care about that. And even if you found out, you will still be unable to stop the message from spreading since other people will keep sharing it. Whatever happens, if the post has a phone number and a physical address, I advise you to call the number and tell them you are coming there. If you are not close to the address, you can ask someone who is close to go and confirm. You can even make a post here on Nairaland to get the attention of anyone who could help you to confirm if the person asking for help is real. That's by the way. WHY WE ARE HERE I have told all these stories above to prepare the ground to discuss the exchange I just had with a 'Christian-themed' scam message I just received. Someone might say, "after all, no money was demanded, so let me re-send it". But, if the scam artist makes you do something against your faith, it's even worse than any other type of crime. Yes, if scamming you out of your reputation could be a worse-case scenario than scamming you out of your money, then I can tell you also that scamming you out of your faith should be worse than the rest. The response I gave to this message made me remember when the Scammer-General (Satan) came to scam Jesus Christ out of his relationship with God. And what is your faith if not your relationship with God? Please people, there is hunger in the land. But some people think that it is by scamming other hungry people that they can satisfy their own hunger. Don't let them. Instead, trust in your God, be strong and don't let anyone play on your pious emotions. Thank you.

Zzor:Don't we all know that Emmanuella is a Youtube star? Do you know how much Youtube stars earn? So, why are you asking for how the house came about. If I knew her personally and I got to know she was about to make the achievement public, I would have advised her against it, knowing that there are so many wicked souls in Africa. But that's not to say that it's wrong to celebrate it, as she has innocently done. In other places (America, for example), people would celebrate the achievement and use it as an example to brag about the superiority of their race. But not here in Africa. It's actually why Africa is underdeveloped. We are far more wicked than other people, naturally. |
alBHAGDADI:That's exactly what I said. Do you know how many people who get angry in your town just because you got out of your car that you even consider poor? They say, "see how he is hanging his shoulders" no matter how humble you are. I tell you, most times that we become busybodies and say that people are "showing off", it is only in our eyes. Tell me, what's wrong with celebrating your own success? There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. But, if anyone thinks there is something wrong with it, it is only because that witchcraft spirit is there. Very bitter truth that many people would prefer not to hear, but this is the truth anyway. Someone somewhere celebrating his/her success should not become an issue to someone else unless that WICKED spirit is there. And, let me tell you: The words 'WITCH' and 'WICKED' have common roots. I am actually sharing this because I see that so many people are guilty of this that people are beginning to think it is normal. No, it is not. |
Some people think that witches are only those who grow wings and fly at night (if at all there is such a thing as witches flying). No, witches are not just flying creatures. Instead, they are human beings that you may even know on the street. By the time you finish reading this short piece, you are going to be able to identify anyone who has a witchcraft spirit even if the spirit is still hiding. I am using what happened recently in the life of Emmanuela the famous child comedienne to help you see this clearly. Since the child comedienne Emmanuela was reported to have built a house for her mom, I have discovered how angry many people have been. They said she is too young to do that and more. Some people are even calling out those who congratulated her such as Regina Daniel. If you are one of those who are angry with her for the feat just because you think she is too young to have done that, I want to inform you that THAT'S EXACTLY THE KIND OF MIND THAT INFORMED THOSE WITCHES AND WIZARDS MANY OF US ARE AFRAID OF IN OUR VARIOUS VILLAGES. This is how: naturally, people are uncomfortable when they see a younger person achieve something that they themselves haven't achieved or couldn't achieve at that age. This is how many of these people would develop unwarranted bitterness against the younger generation for no other reason than that they achieved the success that they think those people shouldn't have achieved at their age. So, be careful if you see yourself being angry just because someone else is able to do what you yourself cannot do. In fact, I have to let you know that, if you have that mind, that's a witchcraft spirit developing in you. So, you need to deliver yourself through repentance. Otherwise, one day, you are going to get caught in a situation that will turn you into a full-blown witch or wizard. For instance, many of us here may have people in our various families and villages who are working assiduously to ensure that YOU don't succeed in life (my next article will be on how to beat such people in their own games). Yesterday, a school mate of mine who is a successful pharmacist was complaining bitterly about Emmanuela, saying she is too young to build a house for her mom. Again, my friend said he would be happier to hear that Emmanuela graduated from school. I immediately cautioned him by reminding him that many older people in his own village must now be angry that he has achieved this much at his age. Each person has his/her own grace. Some people are meant to achieve early success in life. Such people often get embroiled in scandal before they get old due to the euphoria of early stupendous success and its effect on their young brains. But while the early birds are basking in their early successes, some late birds get so bitter at them that they neglect their own grace and value. Thus, they spend the spiritual and mental energy they would have used to work on themselves to actualize themselves - they spend that energy on fighting the early birds instead. Such people will get angry at everything the early birds do. "See him hanging his shoulders" someone would bitterly say from a corner in a townhouse just because you came out of your car and stretched yourself. In as much as we all hate to have someone else do this to us, let's learn no to do it to others as well.

Wickedfact:Like Peter Obi abi? You be man wey sabi. |
LINTUNE:You are a damaged soul looking for other souls to damage. You lack peace and, instead of seeking help, you are trying to transfer your demons to other people. People like you are the reason many people have committed suicide. |

I am one of those who believe that holding sincere and meaningful discussion among people of different backgrounds would be a very effective approach towards solving our problems as a people. I thank God that all our religions teach about the value of sincerity, fairness, and honesty. So, I am placing this discussion here for us to determine before God and human whether it is actually right for the Naira to bear Arabic inscriptions. : Please, NO CYBER-BULLYING HERE. If you do that I report you to the admins. Let's have meaningful discussions only. Today, someone posted a quote from one Engineer Mua'zu Magaji. The quote read as follows: Logical:Then, I said: No, English is not CHRISTIAN. English is COLONIAL. Arabic belongs to Islam while Hebrew or Latin belongs to Christianity, depending on the denomination in question. Please, don't get it twisted. Then, a muslim responded to me saying: Do you know that in most of the Arab countries, Bible is written in Arabic and the Christian pastors there are preaching with it in the name of Jesus Christ can you call that islamization of the holy Bible?I responded and said: Meaning that Arabic is not Islamic? So, since Arabic is not one of our national languages and it's not also a language of any of our religions, why must it be on our currency note?He responded and said: My dear brother this thing has been since even before Nigeria independence, in the northern part of the country the colonial masters noticed that the best language the northern people understood in writing then was Arabic and for them to make things easy for the northerners as they write in English also write in Arabic even in Israel Arabic is written on their currency so you can't be a Catholic more than the PopeAnother person responded to me saying, Sir Islam and Christianity are religions.I said to him: every group of people have their own language whether they are Italians, engineers, or a worshipping community. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. I am not in doubt but it is the Nexus because Christianity spread through English language just the islam spread through Arabians.he retorted. But I insisted quite honestly: I've also asked this question but no one is answering: If Arabic is not any of our national languages and it's not also the language of any of our religions, why are some people insisting that Arabic must be on our national currency? But, my interlocutor refused to yield. He said: sir, sensitive issue are matters to be discussed with sincererity.I took him up on the bolded line because I saw that he was using that to avoid the simple but unavoidable question I asked even when he was talking about SINCERITY (well, it's one reason I am bringing the discussion here for us to discuss it SINCERELY and TRANSPARENTLY and you'll judge for yourself who is sincere or not). I said: Arabic or no Arabic is not our national problem? Yes, it is. How is it? It is because it is part of a grand scheme. It's clearly creepy. It's undemocratic since you are making me use a note I can't read against my will. It is needless affront on me since Arabic is neither our lingua franca, our colonial language, our national language nor even our religious language as you said. |
ozornet:Good afternoon sir. Please, if you still have this video, kindly share with me on 07053311253. |
solreb:Do you still do this? If yes, what's your location and current prices? |
Henryimoter:Where are you located and what are your prices? |
Stanobel:Please, what's this?
|
olagabriel26:Where are you located in case I want to market for you? |
Adaba0803:Do you mean maligna tree seedlings? Have you gotten them? |
Rosskivvy:The biggest problem with fools is that they don't know they are fools. They even take other people for fools. I only asked a question and went a long way to plead for understanding and yet all you can do is to come here to throw insults around. Well, I don't blame you: It's clear you didn't have the privilege of a good home background. Go on and spill more trash and I won't respond to you. Bye bye. |
AMINDA:Thanks. Yours is the only answer that I find meaningful and comprehensive here. I will take time to check out those voice notes and media you referenced. Ironically, I warned on this forum that this would happen but people insulted me then. See the thread on which I gave my warning: https://www.nairaland.com/6191841/endsars-alert-see-what-happen |

Even though I've been a born again Christian of over 25 years, I think we Christians really need to let the sleeping Dog lie. I have been to several Arab nations on tourism and Evangelism and I can attest to the fact that Arabic remains one of the unique and outstanding languages on earth. What is the big deal in having Arabic inscriptions on Naira notes and Army uniform? Nigeria is a country of Muslim majority and due to their numerical advantage I think the Muslims deserve to have the Arabic as a national symbol. I mostly prefer to read my bible in Arabic language for better understanding despite being a Christian. The Muslims in this country have never complained of the fact that the national language is English. The Christian missionaries brough English language to Nigeria and our dear Muslim brothers easily accepted it without fuss. Why are we Christians trouble some unnecessarily? We Christians really to be careful not to cause a national disaster
