As long as Africa keeps playing the routine games designed by the world powers who also stem from the destructive colonial powers, then africa will be at risk of exploitation just as it was in colonial days... What is wrong with africa defining its own ways? Government models, economic models and so on? But no, more in fighting is the main focus within the models implanted by the outside world which conflicts much with traditinal heritage ways that remain in the core of many people's mannerisms there... Africans adopt world ways but it is mashed up with african culture ways and creates conflict... African culture is very heirarchy oriented with peoples station in life limited or enhanced by heritage and divine input... But world ways are somewhat different and allow for competition between every class for wealth, education and political power... But in africa, wealth and political power are most easily monopolized by the interest of people from a traditional heritage of power, new comers have to be approved by the traditional leaders... The world ways encourage grabbing as much as one can and that happens in africa as well as the world over... It is just that Africa's poverty is more pronounced because if being behind in modern development... Modern developments and politics have also created a new form of poverty called abject poverty... Modern rules and regulations and borders and boundries and law enforcement of such, do extreme limitations to the most disadvantaged.. When famine hits one region, people cannot migrate freely to other regions any more without question and resistance, because it has all been carved into militarized nations who enforce separation and restrictions upon use of their land and resources... Now all of every where is somebody's private land or estate or farm of commercial compound or business and government district that only welcomes its servants or workers... So when you are jobless ,are poor and starving, its even harder than in traditional days.. Abject poverty is enhanced by the modern world ways and africa does bear a significant burden of such... There is a limit to world ways, only so much can be mined and so mch can be grown and so much population can be comfortable and so mch rubbish be thrown onto the land, before it is all too much for the earth to carry and keep our survival intact... When that day comes, Africa will not be in line of the finger pointing to who led the world to the breaking point with modern development.. Already millions die each year from bad air caused by modern developments, poision in the water and land kills, advanced weapons and complications from advancements in medicine that unexpectedly introduce more voraicious diseases... It wont make a difference what conspiracy games the world powers are playing to secure themselves at the expense of Africa.. They want to remain at the top at all cost... Eventually the cost will be so great for all the world and the world powers will be everybody's focus of disappointment... I will go now and tend to my lung problems and hope i can see better days where my lungs find ease without the constant irritation from motor fumes and other fumes from synthetic products released into the air.. And thats aside from the bad headaches that come from polluted environments...

Maybe hairdo man will just throw his plastic on the ground when he finish drinking and think the world is a better looking place because of his hairdo... |

The first thing to do when you are looking to have guest enter your house, is to open the gate and stand aside to let them enter.. Did you know that Nigeria is among many African countries that require a tedious visa application process that takes time, money and dealing with offputting consulate personnel...And more so than any serious tourism oriented nation.. Nigerian visa policy is almost borderline of absolute deterance to tourists... All the countries that take tourism seriously, have a visa waiver or visa on arrival policy that allows people from europe , america, australia and middle east to just fly in with no prior approval and be stamped in gratuitously... Of course the host countries reserve the right to inspect the tourist to validate that the tourist have the money to spend during their stay... Places like Thailand and Peru are so flooded with tourist, that money is just raining for any national there who invest in tourist services... Thailand is so full of tourist that it is like a plague for them already.. As Usual ,Nigeria is talking and no sensible action.. Not even the basic sense to simply open the gate and stand aside to let tourist in.. CHANGE TOURIST VISA POLICY to allow visa waivered entry to Nigeria even if with a fee of $25 or less... Many nations have no fees while others charge a $15 exit fee and some up to $35... At the very least, some difficult nations dont require the expensive task of going in person to the nearest consulate... Nigerian consulate visit can cost hotel fees, transport fees and that added to the $130 plus for the actual visa.. So if the consulate appointment is not fumbked by the consulate and rescheduled, it can cost many people over $500 just to get the visa in hand and then add the cost to fly to Nigeria and stay... The majority of tourist will be pressed to spend $500 and all that time and effort just to visit a place already carrying a bad reputation.. So they carry their money to Thailand or Peru or elsewhere with more allure... Nigeria is over priced in the blind rush for chop and chop, they dont realize they are asking so much for so little offered in comparison to well developed tourist nations.. Also, most tourist friendly nations allow only specific nationals visa waived entry, and its of course the nations where people easily have disposable income to travel.. Countries like Canada, USA, European Union, Japanese, australians, and others... Even with Nigerias Bad reputation, you will be surprised how many tourist will show up any way if the entry process is free of all the trouble and burdens.. Many are looking for an unbeaten path and even the excitement of surviving places that their fellow nationals warn them to stay clear of... They love to go back and have a good story of "entering the mouth of the beast " and returning to tell the tale... Adventure is what tourism is about for most tourists, and many want their adventure to be a risk... Once the brave few come and return, they wil spread the word and woo others to try it... Many popular tourist nations have tourist being killed and kidnapped and still more tourist come although their numbers decrease until good reputation is proven in time.. Open the gate and they will enter... As of now Nigeria has a closed door policy and you must first apply to even knock before even showing up at the door, and then must go for the face to face interview after paying a good sum and waiting a good while and enduring rude and often incompetent service... South-Africa has an Open door policy already in place for Americans and europeans and SA benefits by it... Me? I will never go into any business where my customer must ask permission to enter and then pay to ask that permission and then travel far and incur hotel and travel cost just to find out if the customer is granted permission or not.. And only then they can come and enter my place which already has reputation of not being worth the trip when compared to many other options? Why bother with nigeria when Thailand is so much more exotic and no need ask or pay to enter?? OPEN D GATE AND STEP ASIDE..GOOD THINGS WILL COME AND ENTER... Trust me, i have been to 17 countries already and 15 of them as a tourist with no need to get a visa prior to entry... I met so many americans and europeans and australians and Japanese and more.. They were travelling in philippines even when it had a reputation as kidnap capital of the world with muslim terrorist before the time of boko haram... Nicaragua with its reputation of being war torn and full of bandits and thugs... Mexico with its reputation of the deadliest drug cartels... Honduras with the title of the worlds Murder capital... The avid tourist knows that even the worst places have safe zones.. Also when these tourist nations start recieving tourist, they start to guide and protect their tourist by steering them away from area boy territory, terrorist regions and the places of bad reputation... Eventually those who service tourist with honor, they will grow their enterprise and seed a new reputation and encourage others to be more hospitable and the stream of tourism will make even street hustling easier for the average Nigerian.. OPEN D GATE AND STEP ASIDE..GOOD THINGS WILL COME AND ENTER... |
With your plan, you may be better off investing or saving the $5k in Nigeria.. And maybe just go to EU broke.. Imagine going with all that money and a plan, and then find yourself deported back to Naija with no money or plan and with a marked record to bar you from entry into any appealing country in the world... $5k is worth the investment in Nigeria... |
There was a time when V12 was the way around the torque limitations of gasoline engines.. V12 will give more torque than a V8 and do so more smoothly and also at lower RPMs... These days, mercedes and others are able to get V8 engines to put out extreme power and torque combinations, thats why V8 is more common in AMG models of Mercedes today. There was a time when AMG just always put in a V12 and that got them the needed boost... But The V12 is still able to give more torque at lower RPMs than a V8. So the V12 is best for giving high power to very heavy cars such as luxury loaded Maybachs, rolls royce and bentley.. They will take off strong even with a few tons under pull and do so smoothly because the low end torque comes easy.. The modern S600's are not as big and bulky as they used to be when V12 was always the standard engine for it.. reSearch torque and horse power ratios of any engine you consider, and then also research how smoothly it delivers that torque and power at low RPM versus high RPM.. Most gasoline engines dont give their torque potential until it reaches higher RPMs.. Some try very hard to give much torque at low RPM and it is too explosive and not smooth... V12 is the smoothest delivery of high torque power. A horse and elephant pulling the same load will get the job done, but the elephant will pull it more easily and as if no effort is involved at all and making a smoother ride... Horse is V8 and elephant is V12.. BTW, ferrari and Lambo and bugatti and co.. They know how to make a V12 explode violently with power beyond just a regular V12 put in a bentley or rolls... But then ,those engines render the car "not street legal", because if you fumble on the accelerator for just 1 second, you will find yourself several kilometers away from where you fumbled, in the blink of an eye... |
otipoju:When i moved back from Nigeria to USA, it was my last year of highschool which was picked up here in USA... My mother is white american and my father is black Nigerian... Word spread around school that i had just come from Africa... It was mostly the black American kids at shcool that gave me comedy for my african upbringing... I met a few that were not so degrading of African roots and i knew it was because they were conditioned to be ashamed of africa from all the bad stories spread... I didnt get angry because i suffered in my 8 years in Nigeria, the longest 8 years of my life like another lifetime ago... There were some white guys at school with one black american friend and they were all very interested in me for my african experience.. They wanted to hear all about it and so those became my steady friends and i learned how to be american again from them while i shared with them my experiences from Nigeria... I was Born in USA and moved to Nigeria by age 8 and stayed in Nigeria until i was 16... Even so with mixed race features in me, it was mostly black americans at my last highschool who gave me the most jest about being African, and some of them were blacker than me, but they had never been to africa and were conditioned to be ashamed of and deny Africa... I could say it was white racist who brought all that about, but i also have to say it was also some white guys at school who embraced me for being fresh from africa... A lot of white people at school were just silent on the matter ,to not fan the flames of their racist heritage... BTW, they were all astonished when i breezed through school with extra ordinary performance and allowed to move up half a year ahead of my mates and graduate early.. No white or black americans did that at the school.. And its not the only exceptional thing i have expressed in USA since i returned from Nigeria.. Already every year for the past few years, it was a student with nigerian connections that topped the academic charts for addmission to every top school (Ivy league colleges) here in USA... Very few Black americans or white americans can say that about themselves.. Nigerians have some of the worst reputation around the world but also show up among the most exceptional academic performers as well. |
Its a very good car if you buy a new one... Second hand can be a problem because after the first 3-5 years, they begin to need repair.. Repair is not as cheap and infrequent as Toyota, but the performace of Audi and its style of luxury is very top quality... Also they are very fuel efficient for the class of car... Audi likes to use small cylinder engines and then turbo charge them or tune them for high performance... Small cylinder means low fuel feed into combustion.... The only disadvantage is that you will repair an Audi more often than a Toyota and it may cost more to do so..If you are buying 2nd hand, dont be surprised if you will be repairing it within the first year.. They still remain strong and worthy road machines.. If you are buying a new 2015, it is possible to find other more reliable fuel efficient performance cars... But Audi has a style and performace quality that is very unique. Audi has the Quattro system available in its fleet. It is a very advanced all wheel drive system with built in traction and stability control. Very few car makers match the all wheel drive system Audi offers, only the likes Mercedes can compete. Check to see if the A4 you are interested in is Quattro drive, Quattro will serve well in rain soaked dirt roads, designed to hold the road even in ice and rain .. A4 has been popular for the 1.8 T engine which is small cylinder with advanced Turbo charge . The interior styling is quite tasteful and rare. Comparable only to classic quality german cars.. I am Not sure what new changes have come about in the latest models.. These days they are making revolutionary specification surprises every year.. |
One day that little boy will see all the worng things those others do every day but take no beating or correction for... He will see even the ones who beat him, doing wrong things and making mistakes.. He will be quiet because he will know that if he mentions it, they wont want to hear it because they fear most in themselves to be beaten for doing wrong despite that they beat others for doing wrong.. Few things will possibly come of this.. The beaten boy will die from the abuse burden... The beaten boy will wait his time and quietly leave the place as soon as possible and never look back nor have respect ever again for them... Or one day he will have no patience for injustice any more and he will become worse than his abusers and wake in the night with cold chills running down his spine and a fervent desperation to massacre his way out of his suffering, there will be blood and guts every where and he wont even care because no care was ever instilled in him, only abuse and injustice weilded by very animal headed people.... |
The cheapest way will be to split your flight with two airlines like you found to atlanta and then another to LA... Be sure to allow enough stop over time inbetween to collect your checked baggage and then check it to the next airline to LA.. Maybe 4 hours or more if they require you to go through security check again.. It may only take 1 or 2 hours, but better safe than sorry with 4 hours or more to spare... The flights that fly from Nigeria to Europe or Middle east and then to USA are plenty.. But landing in the East coast will be the cheapest while LA is far on the West coast... So book from lagos to Atlanta or JFK via any cheap airline that flies out of Lagos... If you land in any major airline hub in USA and want to fly from there to another major hub in the USA, you will find the cheapest costing domestic flights easily... Atlanta is a major hub, Houston is a major hub, JFK is a major hub and so is LA.... Your destination as LA is in your favour to find a cheap transfer flight after landing in Atlanta, JFK or Houston... I think Houston may not have the cheapest flights coming from Lagos.. JFK and Atlanta may have cheaper if you use airlines based in europe, middle east or africa... The one you found from lagos to atlanta to LA is a good price and the standard low price.. It will be rare to find lower than that on a worthy airline.. Its about the lowest cost for a direct flight on an american based airlines (delta & united) that fly direct from lagos to Houston... Then its very easy to get a flight to LA |
khia:Yes, I beg Ooo ,you bring expanded truth to this topic... They live off the backs of blacks and chinese labour, Native Americans and virtually all indigenous peoples around the entire world... Thanks there for the notice... |
Sent my girl money to get her passport to come join me in USA... She spent all the money on Sony Experia and said forget me and the USA. That must be a serious phone if she would love it more than me and stay working as a floor girl in the shopping mall, rather than take her chances in USA with residency granted... Chai! Sony Experia beat me out all the way... Meanwhile i still rock only simple LG phone costing 5600 naira, I dont live on my phone so i dont spend money on phones.. I spend more to buy shoes every year because i waka far all over the world meetings girls who live on phones bought with other peoples(mens) money... |
Lilyomi:Oh sorry i did not mention.. No Naira is spent in this land.. This is in the area of USA very near the Border with the Country of Mexico.. In the hot desert... Even the plants here are dangerous, all have sharp thorns.. Cactus... See more pictures of plants in the area...

See what we found roaming the compound where i live.. I am still waiting to see the rattle snakes.. The eggs are from wild Quail, they are small versions of pheasants... I never caught a photo of the Coyotes (like a wolf but a bit smaller) but i have seen them also... Many rabbits also but too fast for me to have anchance to make a photo.. Centipedes and scorpions are venemous, but rarely are they deadly...Mostly causing serious pain and some fever...

Some men are out there with money, status, and all kinds of things going for them... And they are just dreaming of the right woman to cum and go with all day every day ,even if all they have in life falls by the way side.. They just want a good woman to feel good with... Some will think your problem is nothing because they have all the things you lost ,and are willing to give it all up for what you have... The Grass is always greener on the other side... |
US is full of illegal immigrants with no visa whatsoever, and they work all over the place... But if you are getting a visit visa from USA, it is not likely they will grant it unless by luck... Because they go by the fact of what livley hood and connections you have to Nigeria... If you dont have something going in Nigeria that makes it better for you to work in Nigeria and be able to reasonably afford to travel for holiday in USA, then you will not be granted the visa so easy... Even if you have family there,it will not be easy to get unless you have a decent living in Nigeria to afford a casual visit to Nigeria... The kind of work you will find illegally is not that great, so if that work is better than what you have in Nigeria, they will not grant you the visa to visit, because you have no compelling factors to make you return to Nigeria... Although, try anyway, because luck and divine intervention are a possibility... |

Lagos is choking on its own fat... Even the federal government run commot there by 1990 or earlier... What good are all the things they have, if people have to climb over each other and their waste trying to get anywhere, like cockroaches.. Even if i spend more money to be isolated in Badagry, Lekki or near the Island, i will still be walled in and trapped by all the massive heaping of people and their waste sprawled north of the lagoon .. "Oke Igbo" is the fresh air and foods and peace and quiet... All the Lagos pollution never made me feel well.. The time i stayed in lagos for extended period, i would feel slight ills during the evening rush hour traffic as the motor fumes filled the air... Now it must be worse with added population and added generator fumes... Health is the true wealth, why go for the expensive life of lagos only to have it degrade my wellbeing? Only if i had no other option... Even then, i may still take my chances as a farmer and hunter in "Oke Igbo".... Ita inu Igbo thats for me... National geographic sef dey gree with dat...But alas, i took option #1 of 3 for me... Live in the wide fresh air places of Akata... Even in USA here, i seek out and live in the Oke Igbo.. Better living for peace of mnd and heart... Beware of too much development and the downward effect it can have on human wellbeing and life span.. I am even seriously considering to only fly into Naija via Abuja or Port Harcourt, to avoid Lagos... But then i have love for too many people there in Lagos, and so i would make the sacrifice for a short while, just for my good fellas... |
Wow, so sad... It seems every day there is news of a tanker or container lorry falling over somewhere in Nigeria... That is a terrible amount of big truck accidents... People must not be willing to go anywhere near big trucks there anymore... Soon people will be vexed with anybody who drives such beasts... |
Originalsly:Thats been my home state since 2001 and i clearly remember last year the announcement that Govenor Abercrombie signed the minimum wage increase into law.. It was set at $10 an hour and it may be set to take effect in delayed fashion... Did it get repealed without my knowing? "Hawaii raised the minimum wage from the Federal minimum of $7.25 to $7.75 per hour in January 2015. The minimum wage is scheduled to be raised to $8.50 per hour on January 1, 2016, $9.25 on January 1, 2017, and $10.10 on January 1, 2018. Any employee earning a guaranteed monthly compensation of $2,000 or more is exempt from the state minimum wage and overtime law. Tipped employees can be paid an hourly rate of $0.25 less then Hawaii's minimum wage. Hawaii state labor law excludes from coverage any employee that is subject to the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act unless the state wage rate is higher than the Federal Minimum Wage. Hawaii employers may not pay you under $7.75 per hour unless you or your occupation are specifically exempt from the minimum wage under state or federal law." |
Originalsly:Hawaii just passed a bill last year for $10 minimum wage.. Hawaii is an expensive state... I cant recall which state passed a bill for $15 minimum wage, but that is gaining momentum among people around the country... |
Chai! Knack on wood Oooo make good luck cum find you... |
The US is hard to find 1 job that works a person for 18 hours.. 8 hours is the maximum for full time per day... People can work 12 to 16 hour days, but not every day and any hours above 8 hours will be paid as overtime which is at least 1.5 times the hourly wage... So most job prefer to bring in a fresh worker after 8 hours... Also Employers dont like to even work their employees for 8 hours because it then invokes the law that requires the employer pays benefits such as medical and or retirement... So employers only allow permanent career workers to work 8 hours or more per day.. If you are there only for 6 months, it will be hard to find an employer that will let you work for more than 6 hours per day.. What people do is work 2 or 3 jobs.. They will work 4 hours at one job and then 4 hours at the next... Some even do 6 hours at one and 6 hours at the next... So plan on not being able to work as many hours as you like, many born citizens here in USa cannot even find that.. Also the J1/J2 visas may require you be invited to work by an employer, if you are not invited to work for more than one employer, you may not be able to wander to find more jobs... But.... The truth is that if you have any kind of visa that permits you to work in the US, it is possible to go a find other jobs on the side... Why?? Because many people who have no visa or are expired stayers, they work every day somewhere... If they can do it for decades with no papers, you can do it for 6 months with papers... If you are not finding the amount of work you need and not easily finding second and third jobs, just know to inquire about day labor offices in the area.. Go there on your free days and just work for the day.. You will make at least $50 in an easy day or even $100 on a busy long day.. The job they approve the visa for, may have a different pay scale, just remember the minimum wage in USA is $8 per hour in the lowest cost states and $15 per hour in the most expensive.. You may be easily paid more than the minimum if you have a skilled job that requires education beyond secondary school.. If you have a University degree complete already, if they accept it from Nigeria, then you can easily get double the minimum wage in many places.. It depends on what job you accept.. Most degrees from Nigeria are not accpeted in USA without added shcooling done in USA. Remember in the USA, bricklayer and house maids are not the lowest paid jobs like it is in Naija, these people make above minimum wage when they work for good companies... If you work at fast food or shopping markets,or other small businesses, then you will most likely find Minimum wage unless you work in Managerial positions... Its possible to meet your goals, but you must be careful not to be seen to violate your visa terms, also it will take effort to search the multiple jobs that dont have schedules that conflict with each other.. Many people quit jobs and find new ones again and again because of conflicting hours between seperate workplaces... What happens if 3 workplaces all agree to employ you, but they all want you to work at the same time of day? You cannot be at 3 places during one time... So you must search again and again until you find the right ones... Maybe you will have luck finding work where many lazy americans dont care and disappoint their bosses... I know some USA employers that prefer to employ workers who came on visa from poorer countries..USA farmers love to hire those kind of workers...They always work hard and do not complain and are happy because even the minimum wage is big money to them.. |
Power never goes out in the USA unless a serious emergemcy did damage..That only happens every few years, and it only last for a day or few days.. Only Serious rains with high winds and floods that break the power lines can stop power in the USA every year.. And it will be lights out for a day or two, and then return to power for years uninterupted... People sue the power company for the meat and other foods that spoil on their fridge.. And of course other losses such as electric medical equipment failure and work related machine shutdowns causing loss of income.. ![]() |
coretechng1:Ah yes, chinas currency may not look like a low value at 6 to 1, but the issue is that they prefer to keep their currency value below the dollar and many other world currencies ,and also keep their wages and internal staple prices low.. It gives them an advantage for selling exports and selling cheap labour for international companies... I am not saying its something china has just done, its what they have been doing all along their steady rise to biggest world economy... During the worst of the world economic collapse, Chinas economy was booming because the world was less prosperous and thus more in need of cheaper goods which china is the king of... So business boomed for china above all others in the world, and china came out in the top 2 world economies and maybe now its #1.. Chinas currency was meant to follow and rise in value.. It did not, the chinese were manipulating their currency value to keep it low.. Because if it rose to high value along side the rise of their economy, they would lose the many customers seeking cheap goods sold under a cheap currency... Japan is a top world economy, but their currency trades very low next to the dollar.. They make up for this by paying high wages and having high prices in their country... China keeps their currency low, wages low and prices low, despite the rise in their economy... Its not an authentic economic balance there.. They do have some very expensive places and things in china, but on average, most people make as little money as in much lesser economies... |
