BusinessRe: Naira Set To Rise Further This Week by 19naia(m): 1:21am On Apr 07, 2015
Nigeria has just started the move for auto assembly and for export... Many other industries are looking to grow in Naija for export..
The falling value of the Naira will eventually do good for Nigeria so long as Nigeria is productive enough to make many more products in the country..
This is what china has done. They expanded production of everything they could possibly need, and did so while discouraging imports..
Eventually they are so productive that they export to the whole world and import mostly cheap raw materials... China enjoys keepng their currency devalued..

It may not benefit Nigeria right now, but in the face of expanded productivity for export sales, it will be beneficial to have a low value on the international market.. Then the export income will expand the economy and cause the value of the Naira to naturally rise...

Fat related disease are common and become a serious burden on any one and family..

Also struggling on a day to day basis with the difficulties of being fat, make for much slack in progress ,on top of long term health dangers of being fat..

If a man never ever sees what another unclad woman looks like, he will only know the image of his wife in that condition...
I beg Oooo.. If i want to know a healthy goat, i will learn best by seeing many goats to learn the patterns that diffrentiate a healthy goat from a non healthy goat... If all i ever see is one goat in one condition, i will never know the difference of a healthy goat or one with problems..
Diversity for a palate of comparison and contrasts, is the way to a broad mind with exposure to many variants... That makes intelligent people..

If all he sees is his wifes body, how will he ever know what to think if her body changes in ways that are signs of disease or degeneration? He must have experience with comparisons and contrast so as to recognize the differences and identify the similarities.. Then he can make educated decisions of what condition his wife is in and what remedies he can apply if it is required to save her life or well being...

I beg, open the door to diverse experience for comparison and contrasts... Let intelligent people prosper by experience of a diverese range of subjects... grin

Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Sister Wants To Waste 6months Of My Years In The US by 19naia(m): 9:07am On Apr 05, 2015
I dont think this sounds right... What Visa will you get to enter US? Then what papers are you waiting six months to get?

If its a visit visa, there are no papers to get even after six months... Maybe marriage or special job offering or school scholarship and some other things can be lined up during the time of the visit. But if you are at home hiding, there is nothing you will be lining up and there are no papers that will find you in hiding...

Either you are being set up to be a house slave or you are in conspiracy or lured into commiting immigration fraud...

Most things you can line up to get further visa to stay in US, require you return to your origin after a visit visa, and then commence a new visa that allows for the terms of what you have set up, such as school or work...
If its a family member immigrant visa, then its not that easy or staright forward if you are not a spouse or offspring child...
If you marry an american while there, that may work more easily yet costly, to get you papers to stay..

It sounds rather suspicious.. No need to hide if you go with legitimate visa and you are waiting for legitimate papers.. US is a free country, thats why acting like a house slave seems like prelude to immigration fraud...

Complications that can still find you back in Naija with no work, if things go wrong and you get deported..

Please, I need to know the requirements to get a Thailand Visa(business); the process and the cost of the Visa.
Thailand visas are easy to research online.. Many thailand visa lawyers advertise online... They offer the requirements and even service to assist you in the best way to be approved..
One requirement is that you have an invitation or confirmation from an organization in Thailand, some of these lawyers will even source an invitation letter for you from an organization, if you pay their required fees and show you have money to invest in business there... Also to show you are not a risk to thailand security...

Here is one website offering information and also phone numbers...

lol. to be sincere eh. Nigeria is not that bad. China is even more polluted(air) than Naija.

btw, i still hate Nigeria. patriotism is the last thing in my dictionary.
i rather serve in IDF than serve in Nigeria Army.
I fear china more than Nigeria.. I was in philippines south east asia for 2 years, and it was not easy even though i was rich by their standards... I had it hard, always sick and weak from the pollution there..But i used to go back to visit US every 6-8months for relief and manage my affairs back home in US. Manila is their mega city like lagos..Maybe they have 20million in that city.. I stayed there a few times and could feel the pollution taking over my body and mind..
Its ok.. My home town in Nigeria is Ondo state Akure and i have many friends from Lagos, Owerri, Portharcourt and i can even just go and stay in Calabar if i need to escape so much pollution.. My lungs have problems that i must take caution for..
I dont care for Nigeria as a political country...I care Just the good people there as a culture ,and my connections there to people i used to be with back in the days.. and to eat ponmo, bushmeat with egusi and other types of stew with pounded yam.. Yes, adventure of food and culture and old memories for the place that was once my home...
Even if i decided i could live in Nigeria, i would live 6months in US and 6months there... Thats how i have been doing it lately.. 6 months at home in US and then six months of winter in some'other hot climate country abroad or this year i was tired of abroad, so i travelled to a different region of the US where its hot.. Miami and then Arizona near mexico border...

Tourism is richer because it preserve/conserve ecosystems and nature.

Tourism is richer because there is no environmental hazards, air pollution or water pollution, or explosions.

Tourism is richer because it brings about a real sense of
pride and identity to communities. By showcasing and conserving distinct characteristics of their ways of life, history and culture.

Discovery of oil in some countries around the world has claimed many lives via encouraging civil wars, insurgence, oil militants, and explosions in attempt to vandalise oil pipelines.
Yes true, nice and very important point.. The damage oil does is more than the profit it brings in...

HotAsIce:
Hello all.
I have an American passport and I have every intention of leaving this country to fend for myself and independently put myself through school abroad by juggling work with school in either the US or UK.
However, I seem to have an accommodation issue for I don't know anyone living in these two countries.
I know a couple of people but I'm not to close enough to them to ask them for such a huge favour. Please, give me advice on what steps you think I should take.
Even in the worst case scenario,in USA, you can search out the local homeless shelters in your city of choice.. From there you will be linked with resource connections for work, school and even to register with the Social security adminstration for a social security card if you dont have it already... There is always day labour centers that you can work at even from the very first day or two you go there.. You just go very early in the morning and sign in for work.. If you work well, you can be hired on permanently or just on a day to day basis until you find a job of your choice...
You can even apply all the FAFSA shcool money while in the homeless shelter and working day labor to survive... There are even places to eat for free that homeless people go.. You will just have to deal with smelly tattered people while there and then pursue your focus..
You can apply for food assitance from the SNAP program while in the homeless shelter and working day labor..
From that position, you can surely find a more stable place of your own or shared with others, and on into school..

Trust me, American citizens willfully and deliberately live on the streets and homelss shelters, eating at the free food charity centers.. Others are more ambitious and work day labour centers from day to day until they get their life back together or into school and training..

Remember to ask, wherever you end up, even if you end up in jail, ask for resource centers and counselors that can show you all the resources available to citizens who want to get their lives together in productive and gainfully employed ways...

I swear to you, your greatest asset is that you are coming from Nigeria from a poor or basic family and accustomed to hardship on a level unknown in USA. You can just show up here with a US passport, find where to get your birth certificate and then apply for the Social security card.. After that, you are with the keys to get all kinds of assistance.. If you dont get a job to afford all your basic needs, you will qualify for assitance for food.. You will also be able to go to any food banks for free food...
There are homeless people who live at bus stops and they eat so much that they are very fat.. I mean fat like you never see in Nigeria..

Just come not even worried if you will sleep on the streets, as long as it is summer time... If you are not coming to run with gansters and be wasted on drugs and drinking alchohol, then stay away from those people on the street and go instead to the resource centers, search out churches and their charity centers such as homeless shelters , go to the university you like and talk to their counselors and assk them about other resource centers for your personal life issues and so on. If they dont have it for you, they will have the number and address for where to go... Every thing you need to start from bottom to reach a degree and worthwhile employment is here..
Just stay away from the many americans who wander the streets intent to go no farther than staying on the streets with drugs and drink and asking for money and eating free charity food and free charity clothes...
TravelRe: Please Assist by 19naia(m): 4:43am On Apr 04, 2015
Its been ten years or more since the last application in 2002.. That is the standard ban time for deliberate immgration violations if it was not a permanent ban... Having a fake SAT report could be that you were duped into paying to sit a fake test and you were gullible and inexperienced to discern a fake situation after all your honest effort... That is common in Nigeria and the US immigration services knows that about Nigeria. But they will not waste time with you until you figure out and sort out the issue on your own time and effort... Its not their job to show you how to get authentic documents.. That is your responsibility...

No worry about going to apply.. Just go and be honest about all questions asked, even if you must declare that the fake SAT was because you were duped and had no experience to know what a real report looked like...
Get your new passport and make no attempt to obscure the old one on record.. If they ask about the old one, tell them what you know.. If they dont ask about it, then let it be forgotten...
Better to be rejected with an honest input and surmountable obstacles, rather than a ban and a record of deception..

You have waited 10 years or more, now its ok to go and apply and find out once and for all if you had a permanent ban... I doubt a permanent ban was given if you are honest about what you recounted in the OP.. There may have no ban ever given...
TravelRe: America Fiance Visa Takes How Many Months From The Filing Date? by 19naia(m): 4:29am On Apr 04, 2015
Neldre:
As a Permanent Resident, can I use the fiance visa for my gf?
I am doubting about fiancee for non citizens.. But i know you can marry her in her country and apply for her as a spouse, if you meet the requirements such as income and good standing under your resident status.. If you are a resident under a previous marriage, then there may be complications to your current residency status when you present your interest to immigration services...
TravelRe: America Fiance Visa Takes How Many Months From The Filing Date? by 19naia(m): 4:21am On Apr 04, 2015
The income requirement to sponsor a fiancee is not a standard amount.. It depends on the state she resides.. Some states are very cheap to live in and the minimum income required for the visa, will be less than $2000 a month.. $3000 a month is an ok minimum for any state,in the US.. So you are good with her $4000..
4 months is the usual time from start to finish and it can take longer only under delays on your part or if the waiting list at immigration services is too long...
Its quicker to do fiancee visa than it is to marry and then apply visa afterwards.. Thats when it can take up to two years...

You will have 90 days on an issued fiancee visa.. You must marry before those 90 days expire, and then apply for a green card for permanent residency.. Green card application cost $1000 and maybe a little more for small things like copies and miscellaneous...

Its easy to get if you have no bad record, pass the required medical exam and have a genuine relationship with good knowledge of each other...
Remember, she has no savings, so how will she show the funds to buy your ticket, pay the entire cost from application to visa issuance and then pay the $1000 green gard after marriage expense..
How will all this be paid? It can reach $5000 or more from start to finish with green card in hand.. Do you have some money saved to add?
TravelRe: Is It True That Tourism Is Richer Than Oil. by 19naia(m): 4:01am On Apr 04, 2015
It depends on how much oil you are talking and also how many tourist you are talking.

If you viisit thailand, you will see tourist like swarms of locusts infesting the place and bringing money like a plague..
Many Thai people are making it rich just from tourist alone.. They are exhausted already from tourist and many are hating the tourist now..
I was In Peru and that place also is thriving with tourist from all over the world..

Costa rica is a country to research for how tourism has transformed their economy.. The money they see fom tourism has turned the once jungle bound quiet banana republic into a place of modern development to compete with any country in its region and beyond.. It used to be the underclass of its region but now people from countries in the region are thronging to Costarica to taste it's more exquisite and bustling economy...
Many USA companies have moved there ,as well as retired people from USA and Europe and beyond.. They bring money, business ventures and development to the place... I was there as well as all other countries in the region..

When tourist come, their money comes along.. When their money helps to enrich the country, it will help to develop the country.. When it develops the country, it will attract tourist to want to stay and reside and bring their retirement income and also set up business ventures..
When the tourist start to live there in significant numbers, big companies from their home countries in USA and Europe will seek to open big commercial outlets there to sell a taste of home to the expatriates and everyone else in the country...
Nigeria already has KFC and other US And UK franchises operating there, but only on a small scale because the economy and culture is not there to support good sales....
Tourism can transform a nation faster than oil, because it not only brings in big money, but also many foreigners with transformative ideas and efforts to add to what the host nation already has for itself.. Oil just brings people focused only on oil business and oil money..
Tourism exponentiates upon itslef into so much more than just tourist coming with money.. Tourist will make the country want to improve its quality/standards of living and infrastructure, to attract more tourist and more of their revenue input...
TravelRe: Soon Foreigner Coming To Nigeria by 19naia(m): 7:39am On Apr 03, 2015
Most countries interested in foriegners coming to visit or live, allow foreigners to show up with no visa and get automatic stamp to enter the country.. US and UK citizens can go to over 160 countries without passport.. There are other countries that have the same priviledge..

Nigeria does not allow foriegners to come without going through some of the most inconvenient steps to obtain a visa.. They require an online application, a face to face interview at the consulate that can be over 1500km away from where applicants live in USA.. And other things involved.. All that to go to a place that even the foriegn oil workers have to stay under heavy security just to work there and help the country advance..

Nigeira must start by joining the 167 nations that allow US, UK, Netherlands and other citizens to just come and get automatic entry stamp on arrival, to stay 90 days or more...
I have been to 17 countries and Nigeria is the only one i cannot go to without going through so much trouble to get a visa on US passport to come there and worry about things that dont worry me in 167 other countries..

The first step to bringing guest to your house, is to open the gate.... Many nations are making big money from americans and european tourist flocking to their countries to enjoy a new experience with strange people in strange lands...

Open d gate and they will come..
I beg, if Nigeria cannot see to open d gate, how can they see to have guest enter and enjoy?
TravelRe: Anyone Been To Belize Before? I've Got A Couple Of Questions by 19naia(m): 7:16am On Apr 03, 2015
Look at the link below.. It says that holders of Belize passport can travel to UK as tourist with no need of a visa.. They can stay for up to 180 days with entry stamp granted on arrival..
https://united-kingdom.visahq.com/requirements/Belize/

Belize was a british colony and the only country in central America that speaks english.. They formally used the Belize Pound which has a picture of the queen of england on it.. Its the Belize dollar now and may still have the queen on it.. I was there in 1999 last..
Belize is a rather rural and simple country, easy to survive but not so much to offer to make it big unless you bring something big to invest or do business internationally.. I have been to belize and all the countries surrounding it.. My first time was flying to belize and then by land to cross into Guatemala.. I also took a bus from belize to the mexican border and crossed into mexico and back..

Belize has a very significant Black population, and it is very easy for an african or Nigerian to blend in well there.. Also it is a rather loose country and it is possible to find a way to get a real passport issued.. So many rural people who live in places no more developed than some villages in Africa. And so they would have no birth certificate or official record other than ties to a local family.. Then they go about later in life acquiring a birth certificate and other documents to build their identity for the record and then get a passport..
I am not sure how naturalizing legally goes there, but it is certain under any immigration law that if he has long overstayed his official entry, he is subject to deportation if he presents himself to immigration for any reason...
If he presents himself with documents claiming to be Belize born & trying to get a passport, it may get him in deeper trouble as they will have record of his original entry and they may find photos and maybe Facial biometrics or finger prints if they took those upon his arrival..

His only legal option is to find a way to leave the country voluntarily or present himself to immigration for deportation and or possible fines to pay per period of overstay of his visa.. Also he is very much at risk of imprisonment if he cannot pay the fines.. Most of those countries have a flat rate that does not exceed hundreds of dollars, Belize showed a case of an american being fined $1000 for staying just a few weeks over...And then you must leave the country and be banned for a period of 1 year or maybe more depending on the country..
It also disqualifies him from counting his previous illegal time there towards gaining a passport there... Marriage or significant wealth can make it happen almost anywhere.. Belize requires that a person have 5 years of legal residency status in belize with record of the legal residency status at immigration.. After 5 years, they can apply for a belize nationality and passport.. Also Marriage will grant immediate nationality rights...see this web site for details
http://www.belize.com/residency-and-citizenship-in-belize

The truth is that many people come undocumented from around the carribeans and central america to Belize and they settle there and take on a local identity as belizean because its low population and much rural setting everywhere.. They may even find it easy to decalre themselves native belizeans and get issued belizean passports despite coming originally from maybe Haiti or other parts.. Speaking english like a belizean is the sure way to blend in..They suspect people with spanish accents and french accents...
Crossing borders with no documents is easy in central and south america.. They even make it up to the mexico USA border and cross with no documents.. Many get caught and many others make it across and get work and even get i.d. cards and drivers licenses...
So belize is quite easy compared to the ones trying to enter USA, and would be easy for him to stay there undocumented and safe.. Speaking english is the #1 way to blend in in belize, all the surrounding countries speak spanish and the carribean ones speak english, french and island pidgin like jamaican english... They speak the Jamaican style english in Belize...

It would be worth it to explore exiting the country and even paying the fines so as to come back for a legitimate entry and earn a passport by 5 year residency or marriage.. 20 years there, he would naturally have found a woman worthy to marry? Any way, Nigerian passport reputation these days will be a considerable factor working against him ever having a chance to work it out..

Nigeria passport in 2015 is the real issue... I would say he is safe to stay there and live out his life, but as soon as he tries to do anything that involves immigration, he is very much at risk of hefty Fines, prison and deportation and permanent ban because of Ngeria passport reputation around the world....
Looking to go to UK from there could face him with risking much worse than he has already and then back to nigeria after 20 years estranged..
research well and understand that any move he makes is illegal because already his stay there is illegal.. The overstay is not a serious crime, but it is always waiting to get deeper if he tries to reach for more benefit of being there illegally...
If i was him, after 20 years, i would have met people with connections to immigration there, to ask immigration officers and legal specialists on my behalf what my prospects were for the situation... They can tell people more clearly what the penalties are and what remedies can possibly be accepted to clear up the sistuation with the least amount of suffering..

So tired of all these akata people here in Diaspora who wear $150 shoe and $200 in clothes on top and another $300 in jewelry, and then they live in a ghetto house subsidized by government, eat government dash food and always complain about money when it comes to anything else but dressing like they have money...
I dress simple and no shame because my lifestyle is outdoors in the bush with fresh air and in my garden.. Even here in Diaspora, i stay in the bush area and have a small farm lot in the bush... Only my shoes show signs of money and maybe my healthy and fine looking body as well.... Clothes are iust the surface... Maybe its atmospeheric conditions related also to the suns massive electromagnetic energy release... It created some very unusual lights in the skies here in USA a few weeks ago...
Nice photo OP
PoliticsRe: Buhari As President: What Next? by 19naia(m): 6:31am On Apr 01, 2015
Well, GEJ still has time before GMB takes the reigns... So that gives GEJ some time to clear a path to escape the country with his cohorts, before GMB enters office and shuts down all exit routes from the country, so as to catch any fleeing goats who dont want to answer to crimes of coruption...

GMB sha, has a history of being lenient in punishment for officials, but strict with accountability.. Hopefully the president folloing after GMB, will do the same to GMB and his cohorts...

Because, " Goat always chops d Yam, thats what they do, you cannot leave a goat with Yam and expect the goat will not chop it". Ehen, so all d new goats now converge over all the national yam... And chop and chop and chop dey commence just like it did every previous session that the voters herded new goats into office... The people of the nation are the Yam farmers.. They work hard to make national Yam.. Therfore only them fit chop.. All others(goats) should get the peels of the yam.. But as it is..The Goats dey chop all the yam while the people who farm the yam eat the sloppy scraps....

Maybe its the people's own fault for herding goats ,via election ,into oversight of the Yam reserve of their hard work.... When will the people of the world learn to unite and take personal responsibility each and every one to do their part of governance, rather than elect a herd of goats to oversee the yam yeild of their hard work...
Power to the people...

Nairaland GeneralRe: Tell Us About The Most Interesting Person You've Ever Met. by 19naia(m): 4:29am On Mar 29, 2015
I met Diana Ross Twice... She is the Singer who mentored Micheal Jackson when he became a young by star in and before the 1970's.

Any way, i was driving in Tucson city Arizona and driving very close behind a small Benz coupe that was already 8 or more years old... I was driving a big Ford crown victoria that is like a big road boat.. The Benz driver got angry at my big car looming close over the back of the low profile benz roadster coupe... The Driver slammed the high efficiency brakes and and i slammed my lesser brakes even harder and avoided a collision by inches... The driver immediatley jumped out and faced me while i just sat motionless looking straight ahead with no expression of joy or distress.. Just waiting for what the crazy looking lady was going to do... She looked all used up and beaten down in her life.. It would do me no good to even try to join her in making things harder for her or me...
Her eyes soon softened and her expressioned looked concerned about what she was even doing there, she collected herself and returned to her car and moved along.. So did I.... I was not sure if it was Diana Ross but she sure looked like her..

Then the second time i met her, she was wandering daily downtown pushing a shopping cart up and down the streets like a crazy woman and making curses at random people everywhere... She would pass by my shop where i was working and also the owner, she would look in and see me and never curse me, but sometimes say random things to herself as she passed me..
One day she decide to enter my store with her shopping cart, and she said to me that she knew i was going to chase her out like a mad woman.. I said no i was not going to chase her out, she can stay and look or just chat with me because she looked like my grandmother from Nigeria.. I told her i may move her cart aside to make room for other customers if they come.... She was then content with me and looked at one item, the most expensive item i had for sale.. It stayed unsold for so long that it was beginning to look old... She said she wants to buy it and she will return to buy it and she has money.. I told her i will give a discount because its old and she may be financiially in need of a discount...
She returned the next night and gave me $75 for the item and took it.. The homeless madwoman was the one who bought the most expensive item in my store... I told her i would never kick her out because she looked like my grandmother from Africa.. She said i reminded her of a young man she used to know also.... I always hold a reverent respect for the mad men and women on the streets, even before i met Diana, and even moreso after i met her. I had a mad man vagabond friend i would visit on the streets before..Diana did not know that about me in the same way i did not know for sure that she was Diana Ross...

It was years later that i saw Diana Ross on TV doing an interview and accounting for that time in her life when she was lost and like a mad woman on the streets... She said she was there in Tucson because she had friends who lived there, Paul Mcartney of the beatles.. Very rich and one of the most famous musicians of all times.. He was giving her money, he let her drive his old benz roadster and trying to get her ti succeed at drug rehab which he also paid for.. It was probably him that gave her the money to buy the item in my store... I also saw him pass by and take a quick passing look in my store one day..
Any way, Diana mentioned on the interview, that she decided to change her wasted life around when she met a young man who reminded her of Micheal Jackson and that the young man had said she reminded him of his grandmother... Thats when she knew that she was wasted and a shame to herself.. She realized she was a grandmother and respected as that ,and needed to step up to the Value she has as the wise old woman among the young generation..
She Changed, and even today she is on tour doing her singing. She used to tour with micheal jackson when he first became a famous young boy star singer with the Jackson Five...
When i saw that interview on TV with Diana Ross, thats when i knew it was her those two times, thats when i set my doubts aside and knew it was her as i suspected...
I have met a number of other very famous musicians and movie industry bigshots, but Diana was the most interesting of all.. To meet every person on the most basic humble human level, where status or worth is not part of the deal...
