PoliticsRe: Rivers Assembly To Embark On Linguistics & Communication Studies by 1forall: 4:22pm On Sep 18, 2012
Underscores the fact that Nigerian education is no more. They have told us Nigerians spent N160b in the Ghanaian educational system last year, but they havent wondered why we have now seemingly outsourced our education to Ghana let alone propose a way to change the trend.

The Uniport they want to study at itself, are the lecturers there not mainly products of our failed educ system? Abi no be there GEJ collect PhD? cheesy

PoliticsRe: Pipeline Vandalism Causes Fuel Scarcity In Lagos by 1forall: 3:19pm On Sep 18, 2012
Blatant lies, did the marketers not say they shall refuse to supply products if the govt refuses to pay them?
Failed government!

Shebi dem dey pay Tompolo hundreds of millions to guard the pipelines, abi na only pipelines for Niger Delta worth to guard?
Failed government!

The really bad part is these brainless lies being added on top of an obvious government failure.
When are we going to rise? If the government has failed its people, shall the people fail themselves too?
Failed citizens?

cogitoErgo: at about the same time yesterday, in Azare, Bauchi state, BH was killing somebody behind Yayale's house. But nobody's reporting this! I think the guy no get name for Naija grin but true, he was killed while about to have his last prayer for the day!
Regarding the bolded, it was reported by Saharareporters to be a former prisons official here http://saharareporters.com/news-page/former-nigerian-comptroller-general-prisons-shot-leaving-mosque

A land where the law is applied selectively and at will and mainly to oppress those that can't buy their way through is failed and heading steadily towards anarchy. Where there is no justice there can never be peace. Instead, dumb looking Joe is busy begging governors to donate money for Bamanga Tukur's book launch!

Criminality is exceedingly prevalent but amazingly ignored as it appears nothing serious is being done about it. Criminals are gettin braver and more defiant as the stories are more frequent and increasing in shock value.

What we have right now friends is a failed government!
If we ALL take the law into our hands right now there's nothing this govt can do to stop us.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Is It Necessary For A Cover Letter To Be Handwritten? by 1forall:
Except your CV is handwritten I dont see why you should write a cover letter by hand. If I was assessing an application I would not understand why a candidate would send in a handwritten cover letter along with a typeset CV, it would look weird.

Also, now that you would send a lot of job applications online or or by email, hand writing a cover letter is out of the question.

I don't believe this handwritten vs typed cover letter uncertainty is worth bothering over man, it's a no brainer.

Good luck anyways

Nairaland GeneralRe: Ticket To Oil And Gas Gala Night Goes For N10M, And N300M For Table. by 1forall:
In a country where 112,000,000 people survive on less than ₦160/day and 33,000,000 people are unemployed, a table at a gala could cost up to ₦300,000,000.00?

This is absolute disregard for the hardworking, yet poor people of Nigeria. If the President had any respect for you and me, he would quickly disassociate himself from this gathering of mainly corrupt persons but the Joe I know would actually be glad to be involved in an 'elite' function like this.

For how long shall we keep watching these criminals?
PoliticsRe: Fela Talks On Mko Abiola by 1forall:
Fela's political views have and always been relevant to current affairs.

It's a pity that problems he spoke about from over 30 years ago are not just still worrying us as a nation, but have evolved into a major compound mess and given rise to multiple child problems that its difficult to actually visualize a way out.

It is my hope that we the youth will not fail to rise up to our challenges and salvage this country from the doom it's headed for, if only for the sake of the coming generation.

Bawss1: Why would Apple want to change a strategy that has be proven to be successful? This strategy only appears overused to non Apple fans.
Get objectively up to date with developments in the indstry and you would understand why Apple need to re-strategise.

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57510406-37/iphone-5-faces-u.s-market-share-challenges-says-analyst/

Although Apple appears to have pioneered in the smartphone market, there have since been other entrants into the market now threatening its initial domination.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tech/news/telecom/iPhone-5-Worldwide-market-share-for-smartphones/articleshow/16364136.cms

Just like any comapny in any line of business, improvement is continual and that's what Apple would do well to do. You can ask the guys at RIM if you need a real example.
PhonesRe: iPhone 5 Release Date & Rumours by 1forall: 12:56pm On Sep 12, 2012
iphone releases now appear overhyped, and to have lost their novel value. Are they gonna go on this same publicity drive next year when they want to release the next iphone?

Apple needs to create another strategy as this one is overused and wearing out. The smartphone market is no longer a one horse race considering the competition from the Android OS and other hardware manufacturers.
PoliticsRe: N567M Missing PHCN Pension Traced To London Bank! by 1forall:
On how the money got to Barclays Bank, Ajiboye explained that findings showed that PHCN had expatriates at the initial stage, whose pensions were supposed to be paid. “But we understand that the last expatriate has since died, so there’s no more need for the account to continue to exist" he said.
This offensively lame explanation makes no sense, no head or tail.

Expatriate pensions accumulated to ₦567million? How many expatriates are there in PHCN huh

And why pay their pension to a commercial bank in London? No banks/pension fund managers in Nigeria?

Ok if na to pay expatriate pension to im home country (nowhere is that done), na from London ALL the expatriates wey earn ₦567m pension come?

You must be extremely dull offer such an explanation Mr Ajiboye.

My people, until we deal with these bandits they shall continue to rob us, defraud us and insult us on top.
How much longer are we gonna wait?
PoliticsRe: N567M Missing PHCN Pension Traced To London Bank! by 1forall: 10:51am On Sep 11, 2012
What are Nigerians' pensions doing in a London bank? What happened to the Pension Fund Administrators we have here?

Someone stole/wanted to steal that money and now has been discovered by another person(s) who's intention is most probably to find another way to re-steal the money.

PHCN workers shouldn't keep silent on this else it will just get swept under the carpet like uncountable others.

Sensational statements wont make the difference, your work should speak for you Joe.
The more I realise the speech may have been written by the Abatis and Okupes I begin to wonder whether Jona himself knows what is been said on his behalf, cos his style of 'governance' sure says the opposite.

Nenzenze!
